From start to finish, hosting our wedding reception at The Old Mattress Factory was an absolute dream. It was everything we wanted and more than we could have hoped for. If you're ...
considering this venue, do yourself a favor and take a look at the upstairs space. You’ll instantly forget that it’s a sports bar below—once you step into the hall, you’re transported to a stunning setting.
The vintage wood and brick interior create a warm, elegant ambiance, and the spare room, accessed through charming barn doors, adds an extra touch of character. At night, the space truly comes alive, offering the perfect blend of rustic charm and sophistication.
The bar is perfectly sized to accommodate guests comfortably, but beyond the beautiful setting and great bar service, the food completely stole the show (aside from the bride and me, of course!). We opted to think outside the box with our food choices, and the feedback we received from our guests was overwhelming—it was a hit!
We cannot recommend The Old Mattress Factory enough for any special occasion. Whether it’s an engagement dinner, reception, or even the wedding itself (as we did), this venue delivers in every way.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to Cyndi and the staff at The Matt. Great food, great service, and affordable.
Choosing to have our wedding reception at The Old Mattress Factory was the best decision we ever made. We wanted our wedding to feel intimate, cozy, romantic and fun, and the Old M...
att checked all of these boxes and more. Most importantly, we cannot say enough good things about Cyndi, the event coordinator. She truly blew us away and consistently put me at ease throughout the planning process. When I dropped off all of our reception decorations the day before, I knew I was leaving everything in good hands. Her and her team ensured we had the perfect reception with all of the personal touches we wanted. If you're looking for an affordable, approachable and elegant downtown Omaha venue with zero added stress, look no further!
Everyone was ranting and raving all night about how perfect the venue was. Cyndi makes everything go so seamlessly and truly wants you to be happy. Also the free parking, huge pati...
o deck, and handicap accessibility are some giant perks!!!
The food and look of the venue was perfect. Cyndi was a huge help keeping the ceremony moving along. My issues were the air conditioner kept braking and it was triple digits outsid...
e. Also, there were things that they forgot to set our or do. We had a cigar bar and they forgot to put out the cigars, lighters, and cutters. They also forgot to play our photo album dvd during dinner. When we asked about both things, they were clueless however fixed the problems pretty quickly.
Absolutely amazing! We had our wedding reception here in October and everything was fabulous! Cyndi was amazing to work with and when our dj bailed last minute and sent a replaceme...
nt she not only stepped in to help calm me down made sure the night stayed on track and was organized and even hooked up their sound system for toasts. We did a burger buffet for dinner and got compliments on the food all night! Couldn't be more happy with our choice to have our reception here!
The room was a great size for our wedding of about 175. The people there, Cyndi and Pete, were fantastically helpful the entire time from planning to the day itself. The food was g...
reat and the service during the wedding was also on-point. The bride and I were very happy with our experience.
That is what our guests kept saying. We did a burger buffet with all of the toppings & fries/veggies as our sides. They were delicious. We also had a cocktail hour prior to our din...
ner & that was great too! Have I mentioned the charm that the venue brought to our reception? It was fabulous! Exposed brick, hard wood floors, & the perfect amount of vintage meets modern. The linens were included & so was the cake cutting fee and parking. As you probably have figured out, that is almost unheard of. I must say that everything went seamlessly & the staff were super friendly without being intrusive. I gave the service four stars instead of five because I had a hard time communicating with Cyndi, but in the end she came through with flawless execution. I mean, it was PERFECT. I am kind of "type A" and asked a lot of questions via email and the response times were slower than I would have liked, but honestly that is my only complaint. Cyndi is very effective at what she does and will make sure you have whatever you need and walk you through the entire evening. All of our vendors had the access they needed to set up on the day of and I wasn't contacted once. It was a more hands off experience than I was expecting and that made it great! The next day, everything was ready for us to pick it up. By ready, I mean it was put away & packed up. I would recommend them to anyone. ANYONE!
Our reception at The Mat was awsome! They take care of everything for you so you don't have to worry about a thing and can just enjoy your day. Everyone loved the food, atmospher...

uch a secret and only advertised by word of mouth. Cyndi was so amazing, without her we know our evening would not have run so smoothly. Cyndi made sure we got through all of the logistics of our reception, but had fun along the way. She did a great job with the linens and decorations which were simple but nice and even put up decorations that I had dropped off the night before. The service was so great at The Matt and we could not have been happier!!!
Everything went perfect on my wedding day! I had no idea that not only would we be paying to rent a reception hall and food, but we also got a wedding planner as well as a nice bo...
nus! Cyndi was extremely helpful in everything we did, and everything was set up to perfection. The food was amazing as well, and I have never heard so many great compliments on reception food! I would recommend the Old Matt Factory to any couple getting married.
I worked with Cindy throughout the whole process of planning the reception. On the day, Cindy and her staff took care of setup (everything, including centerpieces I dropped off fou...
r days before the wedding) and the cake and guest book table. The food was catered through them and was delicious with hamburgers and all the works. The setting was what I wanted and the room is wood flooring with a lounge area that is nicely decorated as well. I would recommend this vendor!!
