Owners Antoinette and Shawn Addison first fell in love with olives and their oil after inheriting an old olive orchard in the south of France. The hills shimmered with green and silver leaves of time-worn, gnarled olive trees. They wanted to recreate that vision back in California. They planted an organic orchard in Santa Ynez, California, where they produce and mill olive oil. Later in 2008, they purchased The Olive Oil Source which strives to be and is recognized internationally as the most comprehensive resource for everything related to olive oil.
