A professional guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and educator, Brendon Lally has been performing and teaching music for over 15 years. He’s the owner of Lally Music, where he’s helped hundreds of students find their voice, their groove, and their love for music. If you want to learn music theory, how to play the guitar or bass, he's your man. He’s not just the guy holding it down on guitar—he’s the one holding it all together. His sharp ear, attention to detail, and deep care for every single event ensure that each performance feels personal, polished, and unforgettable.

Vocals
Sarah combines her deep roots in jazz with refined vocal artistry. Known for her light, airy tone and polished musicality, she brings elegance and warmth to every performance. A dedicated music educator and versatile vocalist, Sarah has performed as a backing vocalist, guest artist, and soloist with some of Michigan’s top funk and rock bands before stepping into the spotlight as a jazz vocalist. She led her own jazz quartet and recorded her debut album, SarahTonin (2015), which showcases her vocal range and refined artistry.
John Patrick
Musical Director and Keys
Johnny is our beloved Musical Director, keyboardist, and co-founder of The Ones and Twos. By day, he’s a Mathematics professor at Eastern Michigan University. By night, he’s laying down grooves that keep the dance floor packed. John has been with The Ones and Twos since the very beginning in 2009, alongside Brendon and Graham, shaping the soulful, high-energy sound we’re known for. Whether he’s channeling Stevie Wonder on the clav or locking in a deep organ groove, John brings soul, precision, and serious musicality to every set. John is our Musical Director and creates all of the instrumental charts for the band which is no small task! Offstage, he’s just as cool—birdwatching, cooking, and working on an album of original music from his studio in Ypsilanti, where he lives with his wife and their two dogs.
Myron Bailey
Drums
Born on St. Patrick’s Day and raised in a family of musicians, Myron was playing professionally by age nine. His first major gig came in 1999, performing with gospel greats Rudolph Stanfield and New Revelation—and from there, he never looked back. With over 30 years of experience and performances alongside legendary artists like The Four Tops, Myron brings unmatched depth, feel, and fire to every set. A multi-instrumentalist with a degree in Recording Arts & Music from Full Sail University, he’s just as dialed in behind the board as he is behind the kit. His playing is dynamic, soulful, and straight-up electric. A multi-instrumentalist with a degree in Recording Arts & Music from Full Sail University, Myron brings both raw talent and refined expertise to every performance. He understands the music inside and out—from the feel to the mix.
John Herold
Audio and Lighting Engineer
The man behind the curtain, John Herold is the technical mastermind who ensures every beat, riff, and lyric hits just right. As The Ones and Twos’ sound and lighting engineer, he fine-tunes every show to perfection, blending gear, gadgets, and expertise to create an unforgettable experience for both the band and the audience. His passion for live production is matched only by his love for the incredible people and the moments of pure joy that happen at every gig. By day, John is a graphic designer and marketing professional, always bringing a creative edge to everything he does—including the stage. Outside of music, John is a long-suffering golfer, avid traveler, and history & science fiction buff. Whether he’s diving into a great novel, planning his next adventure, or dreaming up ways to make the next show even better, John is always thinking ahead—because the best performances are the ones where everything just clicks.
Matt Martinez
Trombone
A freelance musician based in the Detroit area, Matt Martinez brings a bold and dynamic presence to The Ones and Twos’ horn section. Outside of the band, he keeps a packed schedule of live performances and recording sessions, collaborating with a wide range of groups and artists. Whether in the studio or on stage, Matt’s versatility and musicianship make him a go-to trombonist in the scene.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This band ROCKS!!! We had the pleasure of The One's and Two's playing our wedding in August. The experience with Brendon and the rest of the band was professional & organized, but also fun & collaborative. Going into my search for a band, I was very specific about the vibe I was seeking for our big day. I spent months searching for bands, scouring the internet, watching Youtube videos, and leveraging all of the websites designed to help users find entertainment. probably listened to close to 60 bands. After all of this, I finally found the perfect fit that was The One's and Two's. I can say unequivocally, that they are the best and it wasnt even close. The equipment they use, the talent of the musicians, the range of the vocalists, the scope of their music library, everything was first class. I had even asked them to learn a couple songs that were not a part of their library and the were happy to accommodate.
The final thing I want to mention because I think it is important, is that on the day of the event, there were a few hiccups that arose on our side that could have easily thrown them out of their groove but it did not. They were gracious, and accommodating, ensuring that our special day remained as stress free as possible.

The ones and twos were the perfect band for our wedding. Brendan’s communication was outstanding throughout, and they arrived on time and were ready to go as expected. We had a sextet playing during cocktail hour which was phenomenal and a big hit amongst our guests. Brenden was a great MC during the reception and the dance floor was full all night long when dancing started. Overall they were everything we could have hoped for and more, a hit with our guests and you will love having the ones and twos play at your wedding.

Brandon and the Ones & Twos played our wedding, and they set the vibe in the BEST possible way- They played some jazz in a quartet for the cocktail hour and then put together the full band for the reception. The dance floor was full from start to finish!
These guys and gals are pros, have a very polished and professional sound in everything they do. It was a pleasure working with them, and I would recommend them to ANYONE who wants a live band at their wedding. 11/10

I cannot recommend this band enough!! The One’s and Two’s were the absolute highlight of our reception and we received so many compliments about how much fun people had dancing! They played incredible music and everyone of all ages was up dancing! Brendan was so great to work with, he answered all of our questions, was so helpful in explaining how the day will pan out and even helped us with our timeline to make sure his MC’ing was perfect for us! Thank you to this wonderful band for making our wedding day unforgettable!

The Ones and Twos provided ceremony music, cocktail hour jazz and reception entertainment for our Wedding in Suttons Bay, MI.
The process was hassle free and they worked excellently with the Day of Coordinator to give us an incredible, stress free, incredible, & unique celebration.
All of our guests complimented the band and were out of their seats on the dancefloor as they delivered an incredible performance. We were able to have them play our first dance song (which they played beautifully) and they did a perfect performance at the ceremony, where they accommodated our request for Fleetwood Mac.
Overall, This band knocked it out of the park. My wife and I are incredibly happy with our choice. I will go see them play in the future at their public gig's - because they really are that good!

The One's and Two's were an amazing band! Brendon's professionalism durring the entire process was immaculate. The band was so knowledgeable to what would work best with the venue. The sound, and the lighting were on point! These are true artists and they are so talented! Would reccomend them for any and all events!

The Ones and Twos were great! We hadn't heard them play but booked them through a mutual friend and we have no regrets! Brandon was great to work with pre, during and post wedding! They played requested songs for our first dances and then kept the guests dancing based on the vibe of the room. Guests are still talking about how great the band was! If you want a dance party for all ages, The Ones and Twos are the way to go!

Best wedding band ever! Brendon and his crew were insanely talented, incredibly energetic and overall made it their mission to ensure we had an unforgettable dance party. They were both proactive and responsive with pre-event communication, and handled every aspect of the event with the utmost professionalism. Every single one of our guests commented on how terrific the band was and how much fun they had on the dance floor--what more could you ask for? Needless to say, I would recommend the Ones and Twos wholeheartedly for your celebration.

The Ones and Twos performed at my wedding on June 8, 2019 at blossom heath Inn in saint clair shores. From the git go, we were SO excited to have a band at our wedding. Having a band really takes it up a notch. From the beginning, Brendon was just amazing to work with. He was attentive to texts, emails, and made sure he had every little detail squared away to make sure the day was perfect. The ones and Twos did our ceremony music as well, and it was great. They played during cocktail hour, dinner, and after dinner. They played songs that kept on the dance floor all night long and made sure the party didn't stop. Trust me- the party never stopped. They played oldies, motown, top 40, and even requests. Everyone was just raving about the band the entire night. They played our first song with the band, which was just dreamy. I cant even being to express how thankful we are to the ones and two's for making our wedding day so special and perfect. We will absolutely be using them again or referring them to anyone in need of a band. Thanks again!

The 1's $ 2's performed at our 8.4.18 wedding and exceeded all expectations. They created such a fun atmosphere and people are still raving about the fun music and Brendon's MC skills! They truly love what they do and it shows. Throughout the entire process, their communication was great and the day of, everything went so smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend this amazing group- I wish I could relive that night over and over.

The 1's & 2's played our wedding at the Colony Club in Detroit. We could not have been happier with their performance. Brendon was our point of contact and band leader/MC for the night, and he was super accessible throughout the entire lead up process to the wedding and was receptive to any of our suggestions. They bring two sound engineers that DJ in between band sets to cover any songs you want played that the band doesn't have covered. The band ABSOLUTELY ROCKS, they kept our party going until close and all of our guests had an amazing time dancing all night. These guys are absolute professionals, and you should not hesitate to book them for your wedding.

The 1s and the 2s were amazing! Our son got married April 2 at Webers. I think the band is one of the main reasons that the wedding was so much fun! First of all, Brendon Lally, the band's organizer, was such a pleasure to work with. He's easy to work with, very responsive and followed through on everything we discussed. Plus, he's such a nice person, as is everyone in the band!
The band played the perfect mix of songs and everyone danced the whole time. They were really perceptive as to judging the mood of the crowd and kept up the pace with the mood. This was a Jewish wedding and they kept playing a long, ferocious, frenetic hora because everyone was having such a great time dancing to it! I thought they would play until 4pm (this was an 11am wedding) but they played until 4:30 with the same level of energy and joy they started with! If you want a fun happy event this is your band!

I'm trying to find words to describe the things I felt the moment the band started to play My Girl when I was dancing with my father. And I'm coming up short. It will always be one of my favorite memories from my wedding.
This band is spot on from planning and organization to the quality of every single musician and singer.
The band has an incredible song list and I promise if you trust them to handle the set list completely, the dance floor will be full the entire evening. (Side note, kids LOVED the live music.)
Another huge plus, it was so entertaining for my friends and family that don't dance. They had a full evening of great live music and you just can't get that from a DJ.
I will finish by giving a real bit of advice I wish I had found on all those wedding websites. I had been going back and forth on whether or not we could afford a band and if it would be worth it. I can tell you now, not to question yourself, if a band is what you want, because these guys are above and beyond worth it. I had a lower budget wedding and these guys treated me like a big budget bride from booking to playing.

We hired the 1's and 2's for our wedding fall of 2012 and they did an outstanding job. The music was great, performance was great, and they were able to get and keep everyone dancing all night long. It really helped make our wedding the day we had been hoping for.
We hired them to play our ceremony music, cocktail hour jazz, and the reception. They really performed on all three and did an excellent job.

These guys were great! I think just about everybody at the wedding was up and dancing from the first song to the last. They played a lot of motown music and more current dance stuff, plus DJ'd on their break. I don't know how much they charged, but whatever it was, they were worth it. They seemed to really love what they do, they were professional and personable, genuine dudes...good people.

We hired the 1's amd 2's for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Brendon, who coordinated everything was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very accommodating and prompt. The lead singer/MC was also very entertaining and energetic. The best part was the dance floor was packed all night long, and everyone told me how much they loved the band. Success!! Now I only wish I had another reason to hire them again!
