he received and I was impressed by how many of them there were. When we met for our trial, she was great so I hired her. I wasn't completely in love with the look she did but I figured we could do another trial down the road. Fast-forward several months later, I reached out to her about a month before my wedding to set up a second trial which was one week before my wedding day. She was in such a rush she actually BURNED my forehead with the curling iron. I had a brown mark on my forehead that was apparent even on the day of my wedding...not a look I was going for. In addition, I mentioned how my hair does hold a curl and requested she use hair spray. She used a tiny bit of hair spray at the end and said that she's using a ton of texturing spray and that should hold the curl. False. My curls lasted MAYBE an hour (on the day of the wedding, someone else did my hair and they used hairspray and my curls lasted all day). Knowing it was too late to cancel, I tried to convince myself everything would be fine come the day of the wedding. Come my wedding day, the stylists and artists ring my door bell and I open the door. I don't recognize a single face - Monica is not there. It turns out, she has a stomach virus and sent someone else. The new lady did an excellent job at calming me down but it was very clear she had no idea Monica didn't reach out to me. My planner had asked Monica if she reached out to me and I told her no - she was shocked. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed that she was probably super sick and couldn't get to a phone. However, it has been three weeks since my wedding and I STILL have not heard from her...no apology, no explanation, not even to check in to see how things went. I would keep away from this vendor.

g the wedding, she was amazing. Not only overseeing everything, but was again an absolute pleasure to work with. Her easy going personality and ability to keep up with the jokes while were getting ready could put anyone at ease. The hair was done so beautifully and held all night and into the next morning. Surviving an entire night of dancing and jumping around. The makeup made me look flawless and held so well. I would absolutely use Vogue Affairs again in a heartbeat and highly recommend anyone to use Monica as their go to person for hair and make up for their wedding!
