The historic Orpheum building is a stunning wedding venue where you and your partner can celebrate your wedding day in the incredible mountain town of Buena Vista, CO. This venue and event space lies on Main Street, with 14,000-foot Collegiate Peaks to the west and the Arkansas River to the east, and offers an incredible location for you and your loved ones to celebrate your union. Whether you're hoping to get lost in the mountains with your nearest and dearest, or you're hoping for a picture-perfect celebration fit for an heirloom photo album, The Orpheum has it all.
The Orpheum opened its doors in the early 20th century, and has since undergone a number of renovations to keep it at the forefront of innovation and style in downtown Buena Vista. Its spacious main floor can accommodate wedding events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to larger parties of up to 250. A stage that leads to the lounge is perfect for your evening entertainment for your wedding reception. There is ample space for a DJ or a band to set up their equipment and play the music you love as you celebrate your reception surrounded by your closest friends and family.
Throughout their stay at The Orpheum, the wedding party has access to two dressing rooms and a make-up room with a private shower and bath. A small outdoor patio that seats 25 people is the perfect place to relax with a drink during cocktail hour or the downtime between rehearsals and the real thing. The Orpheum's kitchen is staffed with some of the most talented chefs in Colorado, and they will be delighted to prepare your wedding reception dinner.

Just recently had our wedding reception here. Beautiful venue in an awesome location. We hosted ~130 people, which was about the right number for the amount of space available. The staff covered all of the set up/take down, as well as supplied ...
all the plates, glasses, silverware, center pieces, tables, chairs, etc. The whole set up looked great and they did a very efficient job with the spacing. Our only complaint was the somewhat inconsistent communication through the whole process. My now wife and I live in Wyoming, so most communication was done through email and text. There were a few instances where we waited weeks to a month to hear back on some of our questions. However, when all was said and done the staff really did do an amazing job with everything for our big day and it’s safe to say we would recommend this place for any event of this kind!

The Loft at BV was love at first sight for us. We toured the wedding venue before any updates had been done and we could just tell from the staff's excitement and dedication that it was going to be something unbelievable the next time we saw it...
. They were right on! Every step of the wedding planning process with them was absolutely enjoyable. What great people they have on their team! It was a dream come true (in our reasonably set budget!) and we owe most of that to the staff. Can't wait to get photos back so we can share them with everyone!

My overall consensus is that I was disappointed. Planning a wedding day involves a lot of communication, and unfortunately my experience with the Loft was that in order to receive it, it was like pulling teeth. It took forever to find out who our DJ and day of coordinator were to start off with, and when we were finally assigned them, they were completely non responsive. Emails took weeks to hear back from, and I, personally, had to set up a meeting with our DOC since they had not reached out (nor looked at) our questionnaire sheet prior to 3 weeks before our wedding. I had no idea what they were responsible for on the wedding day (or for planning) because no information was given. They also didn't seem to have any communication with the staff at Deer Valley Ranch (which can be partly blamed on them), which made the wedding morning exceedingly stressful having to talk to them each individually. The morning of the wedding, the DOC had not yet reached out to our caterer or our photographer. I wasn't even sure if our DJ would show up. Like the previous review, DJ Mango who was selected for us didn't respond to any emails, but we were actually quite happy with how he did at our wedding.
All in all, my bridesmaids and their partners did MUCH more for set up than our DOC and we had to pack everything up the next day even though we were promised everything would be packed up for us. I believe the Loft can significantly improve their communication between the bride/groom and their staff.
