My and my now husband planned our wedding here all the way from our home in Minnesota. The owners were so great at answering any questions I had. When we arrived it was even more beautiful than I dreamt. The cabins are beautiful and so is the view. The property has so much to offer! Many married couples before have left lots of decorations, silverware, etc. we left a few things as well for people to hopefully use and enjoy!!!
My husband and i had been searching for the perfect place for our wedding. Not only budget wise, but also one that just matched our vibe. The Outpost was the perfect location for our special day. Billy and Alyssa were there to answer any and all questions we had, and even supplied a very helpful list of local vendors.

Located in Fawnskin, CA, on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, The Outpost is surrounded by the San Bernardino mountains and boasts stunning views of the lake and ski hills. This peaceful, rustic escape offers cozy cabins, picturesque woodlands and ample opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and more. The Outpost is also conveniently situated just 55 miles from Ontario International Airport and two hours from LAX, making it easily accessible for out-of-town guests. It's the perfect setting for a celebration like no other.
Ideal for small weddings, The Outpost offers a choice of breathtaking locations for the various stages of your special day. You may opt for a romantic open-air ceremony, with stunning mountain views as your backdrop. Afterward, you and your guests can gather around the fire pit with Outpost-provided guitars as the sun sets, sipping drinks and enjoying the beauty of your surroundings. Get-ready rooms are available for your wedding prep, and you can rent the property's five cabins for you and your party to stay in overnight or all weekend. If you choose to book all five cabins, you'll have the venue to yourself for the duration of your stay. Each cabin is equipped with a fully-stocked kitchen, a hairdryer, a clothing iron, a smart TV, high-speed WiFi and a charcoal grill. A wood-burning fireplace creates a cozy ambiance for you to enjoy as you play the provided board games or listen to a curated selection of music on the record player. There's also a camping area for guests wishing to bring their own tents, as well as ample space for RVs and Airstream trailers.

The first time we saw this property, we thought, “What an incredible backdrop for a wedding!” Since purchasing the property four years ago, we've poured love, energy and a lot of hard work into reimagining this nearly 100-year-old lodge and creating a one-of-a-kind event space with a quiet, mountain-modern feel.
