ired (the last time was Shane Cowan) were top notch. We caught plenty of fish, the boats and gear are great, and the guides (especially Shane) are friendly and helpful. And after a long day of fishing, it's nice to come back to a bed, a warm shower, and meals you don't have to prepare yourself. The Outpost Lodge's meal package is great. You will get more than enough for great food for breakfast and dinners, and a sack lunch is included when you fish with the guides. I would definitely recommend having them cook some of your catch too (as they will prepare it for you.) The only thing you are responsible for is your own snacks and any drinks you buy. We also met and interacted with many other patrons there to stay and fish, and all were friendly and are there to relax. Some even cracked a beer with us outside our cabin and visited one evening. We also met a few other guides that we didn't fish with, and they were friendly too. Brandon and his staff did a great job of making sure we didn't have anything to worry about, and they completely delivered on that. I'd give my entire experiences 10 stars if i could. I/we won't look anywhere else the next time we're up for fishing at Lake Oahe again.
