ues it was one of our first options. After looking at a few others we were absolutely sure that Oyster Point would be were we had our wedding reception. From the moment we walked in, Allison was very friendly and very warm and welcoming. She made us feel at ease and informed every step of the way. She had answers for every question we had and if she didn’t at that moment, she got us an answer in a few days time. We felt like having our wedding there was an honor to the hotel/staff rather than just another party. This wasn’t the case with some of the other venues we visited. The hotel was going through a beautiful renovation and we were lucky enough to have it finished before our wedding date. The planning and coordinating was smooth and all the members of staff we dealt with throughout the process were kind and professional. When it came time to lock down main details, Christian (our maitre’d) and Allison were responsive to our requests and questions and made us feel like everything was in good hands. On the day of our wedding, everything was perfect. Christian was like our own personal assistant/manager. He made sure our wedding party was where they should be and that our vendors knew where to go. He was always near by us if we needed anything and always made sure we ate and drank. He even cut one of my appetizer plates to make sure I was able to grab bites between greeting guests! I could go on and on about how amazing of an experience we had but I’m sure I would run out of room. Our guests complimented everything from the food to the decor and the service. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for amazing service, friendly staff and different look and feel to their special day. Thank you Oyster Point!

always quick to respond to our questions. She is outstanding at her job and takes what can be a very busy and overwhelming experience and makes it feel easy. She was our go to person throughout our wedding planning process and we cannot thank her enough or say enough positive things about all she did for us and her quality of work.
We met Christian, our maître d’, the week of the wedding and from the moment we met him we liked him immediately. He is warm, dedicated, friendly and professional and he executed our wedding pristinely. Our wedding day was seamlessly flawless because of all his hard work.
The compliments we received about the venue, quality of food, service and fun were overwhelming! And one of our guest, who tends to be a very tough critic, told us it was one of the nicest weddings she had ever attended. It made us feel so fulfilled to know our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we did.
If you’re looking for extraordinary service and staff, paired with delicious food, a beautiful chic venue with a jaw dropping view then look no further- The Oyster Point is your wedding dream come true!! Thank you to everyone at The Oyster Point for all their hard work and commitment for what they do!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Oyster Point in August 2018. As soon as we walked in, we knew we had found our venue. It was exactly what we were looking for- newly-renovated, modern, bright, with a nautical/beach-like feel. ...
We loved that the entire second floor was our space for the night. We also loved that the Oyster Point was a hotel, where many of our out-of-town guests stayed. The outdoor space and spacious deck was another plus that was really utilized during the cocktail hour. All the guests took beautiful pictures with the Navesink in the background, enjoyed the cigar roller that we had set up, and we got incredible drone footage!
The staff, such as Allison, the catering sales manager, was extremely welcoming and accommodating from the very beginning. She was transparent as to what we would get in our package and offered great vendor ideas, many of which we used. She was always available and extremely responsive throughout our experience.
A few days prior to our big day, we were introduced to our maitre-d, Odilia, who was nothing short of amazing. She was positive and kind, detail-oriented, listened to our every want and need, offered great suggestions, and set up everything exactly how we wanted it. The night of the wedding, we literally did not have to worry about one thing. She ensured that we were always enjoying the night. The night went flawlessly, mainly due to Odilia's fantastic and hard work.
Post-wedding, all our guests told us over and over that they had not been to a better wedding. People raved about the cocktail hour and the dinner food especially, saying it's the best they've ever had.
We cannot say enough great things about Oyster Point and really encourage all those interested to HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE. You will not regret it. We truly had the best day of our lives!

During the reception, our guests had nothing but good things to say about the staff service during the reception and cocktail hour. As the bride and groom, we felt very well taken care of from the moment we stepped off the trolley from the ceremony and our maitre’d was right there to greet us.
Our visions came to life in the ballroom with the beautiful views, the design and set up of the guest tables, and the personalized decor we wanted incorporated throughout the venue. VERYTHING is in 1 location (ceremony, cocktails, reception, after party bar, and hotel rooms). No detail was left unturned...and I recommend using the local vendors they suggest if you can. Because they all know each other, it makes everything super easy! I worried about nothing except enjoying the day! The hotel itself only has 56 rooms, but if you are having a large wedding, their sister hotel The Molly Pitcher Inn is a 5 minute walk down the street, so plenty of hotel rooms to accommodate all guests. ny time we had questions or concerns. Our maitre d was Odilia and she was professional, friendly, extremely attentive and nothing short of wonderful. The day of ran smoothly and she put up with our rowdy group with ease and a smile on her face. The hotel and staff were ALL very pleasant, which is rare. The view is beautiful- right on the river, plenty of places for pictures. This is important because it was dismal and pouring as we got ready, but would have been OK because there are so many beautiful options within the property to take pictures. We lucked out as the skies cleared and we could use the docks and outside grounds along the river for beautiful pictures, too. Our ceremony was held in the main ballroom and it was cozy with the background overlook of the river. We chose to do the cocktail style reception (Provence) with roughly 150 people and there was plenty of room. Cocktail hour was way over the top. SO many options with this style. All of the food was awesome. The package also included top shelf open bar, which most guests also appreciated. The rooms have great flow for this type of event. The hotel rooms are better than average. The beds are the most comfortable I've slept in in a hotel (bridal suite was something over the top, like a cloud). Everything was very clean. Only complaints (we didn't feel were something to even be concerned with enough about to complain) was the sliding doors to the deck in the bridal suite were extremely difficult to open or close. Had to put your whole body into it. AC/heat units were noisy here and there. Bathrooms could use some updating.
Our vendors were over the top (the OP provides a list of preferred but not required). Our choice of bakery- Ye Old Pie Shoppe. Fantastic. We did cupcakes and they were extremely moist and 100% delicious. Tom is laid back and easy going, very receptive to every detail and request. Our photographer was not on their list, Matt Soult. He has photographed the place a few times and knows the nooks and crannies. He is fun, personable and amazing. We chose our entertainment based on a prior wedding we had been to (aren't on the pref list)- D'amico Entertainment. Check them out. We chose their "DJ Alive" package and they delivered. Last but not least, someone who I am now honored to consider a dear friend and would have never met without the Oyster Point, our florist, Abigail Parsons. She is a wonderful, creative, honest person with a heart of gold. She reads people well and she just got me and my style from the get go. I told her from day 1 that I was leaving the floral details in her hands. I don't particularly care for fresh cut flowers but love greenery and plants. I am not a traditional pink and white peony type girl, but I've seen her work and Abigail can do it all. The arrangements she surprised us with were stunning with a theme of "rustic chic". Old wine crates with a variety of plants, burlap here and there, mason jars with just the perfect blend of greens and rustic flowers- the guests went absolutely crazy over it all.
Best wedding ever! Guests are still raving about it- a month later! Some even went back for lunch and dinner shortly after because they loved it so much! Bottom line- you can't go wrong here.

The only thing we would change about our wedding at the Oyster Point would be to make it longer!!! We were pretty much set on the Oyster Point as soon as we saw it last year: I wanted a wedding at a hotel and my husband wanted a wedding with a ...
view! The Oyster Point could not have been more perfect! Luckily, we had a beautiful August day for our wedding, which only enhanced the view and use of the balconies! Working with Bill Murray was wonderful, he is patient and always gets back to you quickly with any little question. He worked with us to make sure our wedding had everything we wanted! Christian was our Maitre D and in line with what we heard, he was fantastic: the attention to detail and smoothness of the wedding day was apparent to all in attendance! I was completely relaxed on my wedding day, since I was SO confident these two had everything under control! We had our ceremony on site and the turn over to the ballroom reception seemed to be perfect! The food was delicious from cocktail hour until the cake from Tinton Falls pastry chef! Everyone is still raving about the meal! Post-ceremony some of the bridal party went up to the suite and they even had food up there for us to enjoy so we would not miss out. Our server brought my husband and I one of each meal to our sweetheart table, from which we both took one bite! When we got up to the suite at the end of the night, our three meals were there along with cake and champagne! The following morning we had a brunch back in the ballroom and the room still looked gorgeous with our centerpieces reused on the tables. No detail was overlooked! I am so happy we chose the Oyster Point for our wedding- it turned out to be everything I dreamed for and more! Thank you Bill, Christian and everyone at the Oyster Point!

wedding. She was just alright. Things I had told her in the pre-wedding day meeting she did not remember and told the vendors the wrong things. She was in the way during the reception. What annoyed me the most was I had to tell her to change the music and shut the doors before I walked down the aisle.
Even with those minor issues the day was still absolutely perfect. I had about 180 people/15 tables and it was just the right amount. Plenty of room to dance and walk around! I would absolutely recommend Oyster Point for your wedding. Just request a different maître' d!

We worked with Billy Murray from the very beginning and he is awesome! ...
He was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and very responsive to any and all questions we had.
Christian was our maître de and Anne was our server the day of the wedding. They did so much more though! They set up the entire ball room and cocktail room for us because we made our own centerpieces. They far exceeded our expectations in making our “vision” come to life.
The food was great! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and people were so impressed that it actually came out the temperature they ordered it! The Peking duck station at the cocktail hour was a huge hit. People are still talking about the food that day.
Lastly, the venue is so beautiful and it was great to use the balcony at the cocktail hour. We had the North Suite, which is included in the package and is used as the bridal suite. It was perfect to hang out in before the cocktail hour and they brought up all of the apps and the signature drinks.
I can’t think of one negative thing to say about the Oyster Point, it was the venue and the staff there that really made our wedding day perfect.

Allison Mercer took amazing care of us. She answered every. single. nagging. obnoxious. email. ever! I am a control person and planning a wedding can be a nightmare for someone like me. Allison made it sane. She was always a phone call or e-mail away, and always had the answer - or was willing to FIND the answer. And she did it all with a smile. I can't say enough good things about her. She made my day her personal mission - she could pick me out of crowd any day and always remembered the little details about the wedding in conversation. I can't say how much that means - seems like an obvious detail but when you consider how many people she must work with, it really is something. She always made us feel special and important, and it never felt like just business. I honestly felt comfortable talking to her, I knew she was looking out for our best interests and that her suggestions would always be genuine. That really means a lot when you're spending so much on the big day. You're not buying a car, you're planning your wedding. It was so nice to work with someone who was excited and happy for us, on a personal and professional level.
To say the OP was accommodating would definitely be an understatement. They made our whole vision come to life. Every detail was hammered out in an orderly fashion, no questions left unasked. They worked with our budget and worked with us on the menu, making sure we had what we wanted. While they did provide a list of recommended vendors, they let us have the freedom to choose who we wanted. They were flexible about the size and duration of our room block for out of town guests. They let us do our rehearsal there, and were flexible about the time and day for it. They suggested restaurants for the rehearsal dinner when we wanted to do something a little less costly than at the hotel (which I'm sure would've been amazing!) - there was no pressure ever. No problem. Whatever we needed. Honestly, even if I hadn't been a control freak over the whole thing, I just know it would've gone off without a hitch. They are real pros. If you end up working with them for your wedding - take my word of advice, and just relax a little. They really do have it all under control.
Christian was an amazing maitre'd on the day of the wedding. He is so kind and charming, and just has this way of making you feel taken care of. He knew we needed a refill before we did. He brought us an extra plate of food so we could taste each of the different entrees. He had cake and champagne sent to our (GORGEOUS!) room so we could enjoy it later. He was behind the scenes making sure things went smoothly. I never had to worry about anything on my wedding day. Can you ask for more? If you could, I know Christian could get it for you. He was amazing. My parents loved him (and Allison!) too, which meant a lot to us.
I'm probably leaving out so much. It's hard to sum up your whole experience in a review like this. All I can really say is thank you to everyone at the Oyster Point!

tact with reservations (Linda) and my event coordinator (Bill) and they were both responsive, helpful and flexible with my needs; you could just tell that this was not their first rodeo - each knew the Oyster Point service commitment and answered all of my questions politely and honestly.
On the day of the wedding, the maitre'd, Christian really stole the show. He was never in the way, yet always close by to hand me a glass of water, a cocktail, or indicate that something was about to happen (i.e., cut the cake). He even handed my husband his jacket before approaching the cake so our pictures would come out nicely! Without being prompted or discussing this ahead of time, he and his team had all of our belongings neatly packed in the EXACT fashion in which we brought them to the hotel and left in our bridal suite to take home. They even washed our champagne flutes and put pens back in the cardboard sleeve that we purchased them in!
We fit 200 people in the ballroom and packed the dance floor. We had a 7-piece band which sounded excellent from an acoustics standpoint (no grandparents complained about noise or reverberation).
Finally, the food was tasty and actually much better than it tasted during our menu tasting. The hors d'oeuvres were plentiful and fresh, especially the raw bar. I usually think wedding food all tastes mass produced but I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size and taste of the entrees (chicken, steak and tuna).
Overall I felt that the price paid per person was an excellent value. Considering the service of the entire Oyster Point team, the convenience for our guests who mostly stayed in the hotel, the quality and cleanliness of guest rooms, and the quality and quantity of food at the cocktail hour and main course, I feel that the price per person was reasonable.
Some other venues I visited in the Jersey Shore area were more expensive and others were cheaper but not as well-maintained and the coordinators were not as professional. I honestly feel that we could not have picked a better location for our wedding.

c from another bride and I heard great things from guests who attended her wedding. We met with Bill and we worked with him from start to finish (I called him on the day-of to change some of the table arrangements).
The Oyster Point was the first place we came to that we felt like Bill really wanted to work with us. He was super accomodating and was flexible about working within the various wedding packages. We got a great discount for booking the wedding on a Sunday which allowed us to upgrade our package and add certain extras. Even before we upgraded packages, he was willing to negotiate on certain things and offered to thrown other things in. This is, of course, how it should be when you're planning to drop so much money on one day, but most of the other sales directors at other venues we met with were just very, "this is our package - take it or leave it". I called Bill a million times about a million different things and he was very patient and always helpful. I had no worries on the day-of and sure enough everything went smoothly.
Cristian was our maitre'd and he was also amazing to work with. My fiance, the bridal party and I all arrived mid-cocktail hour, but he made sure the staff helped us empty the limo, check-in to our rooms and start celebrating asap. He was also always there when I decided my feet hurt too much in my heels and I wanted to trade him for the flats he was hiding for me.
My guests loved the venue - loved the sunset over the water - and everyone raved about the food. My husband and I got a ton of personal service and he has said many times over that everytime he put down his champagne glass it was automatically refilled without having to ask. We had an amazing time at our wedding and we definitely have Bill and Cristian to thank for it!

Our wedding was absolutely picturesque for New Year's Eve. The hotel was pristine, the food was delicious and our maitre d, Christian, was wonderful. We did have an issue at our after-party; however. From the very beginning, we had been aski...
ng to bring down a few pieces from our band to play during our "after party" down by the bar for the ball drop. Bill kept skirting around the issue, saying he had to ask the manager, even as close as five days leading up to the wedding. On the day-of, the band told us that Bill specifically asked them not to play downstairs. The reason being, there was another wedding happening until 1:00 a.m. downstairs. We wished Bill would have been straight up with us the entire time. We would have booked the venue regardless, but if you are a bride who only wants your wedding at one venue - make sure you ask point-blank. That was only one minor wrinkle in an otherwise perfect day!

nner rooms are elegant and beautiful. The food is delicious and our guests even said they they have never had better food at a wedding. We did our post-wedding brunch the next day at Oyster Point as well, and it was just as amazing. The bridal suite is so gorgeous that we used it as the backdrop of our bride and bridesmaid pictures. Every aspect of Oyster Point was perfect for our wedding.

We loved that it was in the town where we both lived and that it was on the water. The views were beautiful and the service was great! We also enjoyed the bar after the wedding and the fact that everyone was staying at the hotel!

hey promised me a front row table overlooking the water. They lost our reservation and were very nasty when we insisted they accomadate us for their mistake. They sat us in a crowded little table by the bar. They rushed us through dinner and did not even provide us with dinner rolls like the other tables received. I cried and rushed out. My husband promised not to return. Horrible.

es from my residence. I didn't want to select a reception venue that everyone knew about. I wanted my gu.ests to attend without having any preconceived notions about the venue; On the website and I do believe on our contract, the venue promised 'breakfast in bed for the bride and groom', however, we were never offered that option. The staff at the Oyster Point is wonderful, however, everything is 'extra'. I think, though, couples need to be aware about that before they begin to wedding plan. It is such a huge industry and I never really thought about it until I was in the process.
