The Palms

Our wedding at the Palms was pure magic! Mack and Rabina from the start were very involved with my vision, helping to bring it to life at their property. We utilized four portions of the Palms property during our big day; English garden location for the ceremony and family photos, private room and lounge for bridesmaids ‘get ready’ area, lush gardens and palapas for cocktail hour, and indoor banquet hall for the reception. The English gardens are new to the Palms and are the perfect addition to this stunning property. We built a structure to block the pool from view during the ceremony and none of our guests had any idea that this location was a transformed backyard! Inside the banquet hall chandeliers and wisteria hung from the ceiling, this floral addition brought the stunning garden views outside into the building to carry the theme throughout. The Palms is incredible visually, but it is also fully equipped to support a large event. Our DJ easily connected into the pre-set DJ setup inside the banquet hall, as well as set up two exterior setups in the cocktail hour space and ceremony space. Behind the built in bar there is hookups for two kegs and refrigeration for wine and other beverages. In the kitchen there is prep space, galley refrigerators, and a large sink. We chose to do DIY catering for our wedding and the kitchen space was large and spacious for our team to prepare the buffet tables to serve our guests. Recently, there were more bathrooms added to the property, so there are more than enough restrooms for all the guests! While the bridesmaids got ready in a secondary location, the groomsmen did utilize the ‘Man Cave’ in the upstairs portion of the banquet hall and it was perfect for their needs. The banquet hall is also air conditioned, which is a must for a summer/fall wedding in Chico! The team from the Palms is efficient and responsive, they worked hard to make sure the event was setup exactly as I had dreamed it. They are professional and kind, they checked in on me and my husband throughout the morning to make sure everything was going well. I had a very particular vision about how I wanted our wedding day to look and feel, Mack and Rabina went above and beyond to make that vision come true! After all the time and effort that went into this wedding at their venue I am pleased to say that our relationship goes beyond that of client and customer, we are friends. This venue holds a special place in my heart and is truly the perfect venue in Chico! A hidden gem that serves all the needs of any event; beautiful landscape, stunning indoor (climate controlled) hall, and a fantastic team that goes above and beyond to execute wonderful events!
