I called the number listed above and they transferred me to the Parks and Rec department--according to the women I spoke with, the Pavilion at Falls River Square is no longer rented out for private events. I am heartbroken but also wanted to let others know.
This place is great for wedding receptions. I used the banquet hall and they renovated in between the time I booked and when we used the facility. There’s new carpet, fireplace resurfacing, new dance floor, paint ect. I loved this place from the beginning, for two reasons all the windows / natural light and the very reasonable price. The staff was very easy to work with, my only recommendation is if you can afford it maybe reserve it the day before as well. Also, you need to consider who will sign the contract to reserve the building because that is the person who will sign for the building and conduct a walk through with the managers. In my case I signed which was not good because I couldn’t delegate that responsibility to anyone and that really messed up my schedule.
I used the pavillion for my wedding and reception because I wanted everything in one.I am a CF resident and I did not want to have to travel far nor did I want my guests to have to.It is extremely affordable and offers the perfect photo op.
Falls River Square was the best money we spent for our wedding! We got married in early June and booked the amphitheater for the ceremony and The Pavilion for our reception. It was a big priority for us to have everything in one location that allowed alcohol.
We ended up having the perfect weather that day so the location was just gorgeous. But, it was definitely nice to be able to have a back-up inside location in case it rained for the ceremony since you get The Pavilion all day regardless.
The staff we worked with were very professional and accommodating to our requests. There isn't a staff person there with you all day, but they leave their phone number in case something happens and are responsive. Make sure you book the room the day before to set up- totally worth the extra money!
The only cons are 1) other than tables and chairs, you have to provide everything else- tablecloths, bar, plates, glasses, etc. and 2) if your wedding is in the summer, you can't have your rehearsal the Friday before because of the concert series in the square.
HUGE pros: 1) great value for your money, especially if you're a resident of Cuyahoga Falls, 2) you can choose any vendor you want, 3) one location for everything with great photo locations by the river and on Front Street, 4) free parking in the decks nearby with plenty of spaces, 5) the Sheraton right across the street was fantastic for out-of-town guests to stay at since it's right there
If you're ok with having to do all the set-up (I know not all couples are), then Falls River Square is a great choice for a unique wedding venue at a great price!
My husband and I fell in love with the idea of having an outside wedding at the Amphitheater and our reception all in the same location when our caterer told us about this location. James was very helpful meeting with me a couple times before the big day to plan out all the tables and chairs and even the dreaded question "what if it rains". Everyone involved was so helpful, I felt very confident the day of our wedding with nothing to worry about. The one thing I would have to say that I did not like was there you are only able to book your day exactly one year on advance. This caused some stressed at the beginning of planning our big day in hopes that no one else would steal the day we booked with our caterer and DJ already. But everything worked out and we had such a beautiful and unforgettable day!
we used the outdoor amphitheatre for the ceremony and had the reception in the two story mostly glass banquet hall. they're about 20 yards apart. perfect location on the river. great for pictures and The Sheraton is just a walk across the street. (also where we had the "after-party".)
