By far, the most common comment we got about our wedding was "your food was SOOO good", followed by "that's the best wedding food I've ever had".
One of our most important stipul...ations about our wedding was it had to have good food, and it had to have good alcohol. Peached delivered in spades. We asked many of our guests what their favorite dish was, and there didn't seem to be a consensus, which speaks to the overall strength of the menu. We both thought the wasabi mashed potatoes were the best (they're not spicy at all!), but a lot of people loved the lemongrass chicken and the pork tenderloin, a bunch said the carrots were the best, and the vegans really enjoyed the acorn squash.
We did all of catering through Peached: food, drink, and rentals; that made it really easy. The catering guide we got from them is a useful starting point, but I got the sense that they could pretty much design a menu however you want. For example, our menu had 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, a salad, and 3 sides. We also removed the bread and butter because my wife has a gluten allergy, and Peached gave us a discount on the sides. Their catering guide also had very clear markings for common dietary restrictions, which made it very easy for us to feel confident about having a completely gluten-free wedding. They also were very helpful and knowledgeable concerning other guest allergies as well. We ended up with a very customized contract that gave us exactly what we wanted. Even during the event there was room for customization: the bartenders were making up cocktails for our guests. Someone came up with a margarita that used the syrup from the Big Breezy and that became a hit.
Our point of contact was Amber, and she did a great job spearheading. She helped us create the personalized contract, was very responsive to our many questions, and had a great sense of what services she could offer and how to make everything work. She gave good advice, and never pushed us into any choices. In short, she's a pro.
There were a few small pain points. First, we had some issues with the pricing on our contract. There were a combination of copy-paste mistakes and software errors that led to some bad accounting and put our bill a few hundred dollars too high. Once we caught the issue, Amber was able to remedy it, but I guess I would caution to read through the final contract carefully and make sure you know where all the numbers are coming from, and all the totals actually sum up correctly. Second, we felt the food service was a bit slow on our wedding day. One of the guests said a server mentioned being short staffed, and I felt that a bit, first with a longer than expected delay between the salad and the entrees, and then with a slow rollout of the cake after the ceremonial first cut. Third, the first few rounds of drinks seemed a little light on alcohol, but I was told the bartenders got much more generous with their pours as the night went on. I assume this is standard practice to make sure the alcohol doesn't run out, but I was hoping for more consistency, especially since we did most of our drinking during the cocktail hour.
Overall, I'd recommend Peached to anyone who prioritizes the food and drink at their event. It truly was one of the highlights of our day.
