The Penn Stater Hotel is a modern wedding venue in State College, PA. A contemporary hotel providing charming landscaped grounds to tie the knot.
The venue’s largest event space, Presidents Hall has room for over 500 wedding guests in a banquet-style event.
Deans Hall is ideal for your wedding with 100 to 200 guests. Soft lighting and quiet carpets create a sense of intimacy for most affairs. The hotel Event team will set up tulle and lighting for a subtle, romantic touch.
Gatherings of 50 guests are accommodated in smaller function spaces. The Terrace (with a view of woodlands) and secluded and shaded Courtyard are just right for an outdoor cocktail hour.
Newlyweds and their guests can enjoy our tranquil grounds, gardens and socialize. This contemporary hotel has 300 guest rooms for a convenient overnight stay. Guestrooms features include sleek bedding, new amenities, and modern décor for a comfortable experience. A honeymoon suite is included in the wedding package.
Our hotel events team will have everything under control for your milestone celebration. Our wedding packages include a hosted cocktail hour, wedding dinner, alcohol up to 4 hours (1 cocktail hour + 3 dinner), and tulle & light décor. A Champagne toast will start the celebration. To top it all off, you will be accommodated in the romantic honeymoon suite the night of the big day. Our team can organize your rehearsal dinner and day-after brunch so you have even more time with your nearest and dearest. Your Event Planner will help you choose the floor plan, schedule your tasting, finalize your menu, and work with your vendors.

Dawn was an absolute delight to work with throughout the entire process and was able to find elements and solutions to make our day special from the decorations down to Penn State elements to make us feel right at home. Not only was Dawn fantastic, but the accompanying staff was tremendous as well — catering to our every want, need, and desire while doing so courteously while observing pandemic protocols. The entire process was made super easy by Dawn and her team and we really couldn’t have asked for anything better given the circumstances. If the world continues as it stands, you can’t go wrong with having your intimate wedding at the Penn Stater — WE ARE overjoyed that we did!

bout the day of the reception- they made sure to take care of everything and even helped me with some last minute seating issues. A number of event staff came up to me throughout the night to make sure everything was going well and to ask if I needed anything. It was also awesome to have the hotel attached for guests to stay at. The food was delicious and I heard a ton of compliments from guests (we had the Italian buffet).

ndly staff, great service. All staff were easy to work with! Joy Vincent-Killian was great to start the process and Margo Williamson was awesome consultant. We did a lot over email and it all came out better than I ever imagined! Food was awesome, service was great all weekend. I even gave a brunch and they provided a great spread-my guests loved every minute! My husband and I weren't stressed and had the most amazing wedding weekend!! We were able to book the trolley and that was a great move too. The Penn Stater also worked well with all our vendors and took great care with everything!! They give you many options. Also, I have several food allergies and they were awesome about that as well as accommodating my guests' food allergies or concerns. A wonderful place for a wedding and a great place for a wedding weekend!
