Could not be happier with the Penthaus as our wedding recption venue.
From a coordinator perspective, Julie was so responsive and answered my millions of questions with patience. She contributed great ideas during planning stages and made our experience wonderful.
From a venue perspective, the Penthaus was exactly what we were looking for. We had a 94 person venue and we fit perfectly. The outdoor space was wonderful for cocktail hour - the views of the city truly cannot be beat.
Would absolutely recommend this space for your wedding or event.
My sister just had her wedding here. Julie was our staff contact. 6-ish weeks prior to the event we were notified that another event would be taking place directly after her wedding (an overlap was suggested and seemed like a double booking). Julie wanted us to share the getting ready spaces, allow the next events vendors to come setup (in the emergency rain space to which we only agreed to a bit of the catering to setup but there ended up being an entire team and DJ come very early making the backup space unusable to us), and even suggested moving our ceremony time up to accommodate the next guests. We had invitations already printed. We had to state our contracted times for the venue back to Julie since my sister had already made a deposit. The day of the event there was no divider up for the bridal getting ready space as discussed, we all got ready in a main room as caterers and DJs came in for the next event even though we had just gotten there. We had to change in the bathroom stalls or else we would’ve been in our underwear in front of all the strangers coming in and out. Julie was dressed as if she was going to the gym the day of the event and is said the be a “day of wedding coordinator” but did not coordinate anything. She was kind at times but over rubbed us all the wrong way, we definitely felt unwelcome and that the next event was priority. She couldn’t even assist with a place to hang the wedding dress, which would be standard that a wedding dress would need to be hung…overall this venue experience was the dark spot of the wedding day and not worth the hassle or money. I would avoid.
The space is absolutely beautiful and worth it for the views alone! We had an amazing day and loved working with the coordinator - Julie. She made sure we were happy and helped with set up and take down. There were some minor miscommunications when dealing with the property and it felt a bit unorganized/added unnecessary stress to the days leading up to the event. Despite this, it was a good experience and a unique, photo worthy venue! Would absolutely recommend having your event here!
