The Perfect Poppy

Karen and Amy did an awesome job with our wedding. We are far away from the Perfect Poppy headquarters, but Karen went out of her way to make things convenient and comfortable for me. The day turned out perfectly magical in no small part because of the flowers and decor. Thank you so much Karen and Amy!

I heard about The Perfect Poppy through a friend who also used Karen for her wedding. I am so happy I chose her to do my flowers for my wedding. They were STUNNING and my guests are still talking about them! Everything from my bouquet, table arrangements, and the guys boutonnières were flawless. She even did the flowers on my cake and it was beautiful. Karen was so wonderful to work with. She listened to my ideas and made my vision come together better than I could have imagined. She was always quick to respond with any design questions I had and always gave great advice on what she thought would look best. I don’t have enough good things to say about my experience!!

We are so thankful we found Karen and The Perfect Poppy. She went above and beyond to create an absolutely beautiful venue atmosphere and we continuously received comments about how beautiful the bouquets were. Karen was extremely attentive to detail and made sure to create florals that matched the vibe of our wedding perfectly. We had a bit of an “unorthodox” wedding for 2019 with the bridal party, the groomsmen, the ceremony, and the reception all in different locations throughout a really long day. Karen made it work making sure we were never stressing about any details. She is so very talented and passionate about her work and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to add beautiful and well-thought-out detail to their weddings.

Karen is a true artist! We gave her a general idea of style and color scheme and let her use her artistic talent and experience to create what was absolutely the most gorgeous experience we could have imagined!! She was very familiar with our venue, Dunaway Gardens, and knew exactly what would look best and how to set up. We highly recommend The Perfect Poppy for any special event!! Thank you, Karen!

Karen was so helpful and helped make what we envisioned come to life! She listened to what we wanted, but also gave ideas on what would/wouldn't work and how to make things better! We had a beautiful ceremony and reception all thanks to her. She knows her stuff!

Not only was she completely fair priced, but her work was also a dream. Everything was perfect. Of all the things I was worried about on the day of, her work was never one of them. I knew Karen understood my vision as a bride and was going to carry it out in full and that's exactly what she did. Thank you again Karen!

Buyer beware. We first decided to go with The Perfect Poppy because Karen was helpful in the beginning throwing out ideas and guiding us in a direction (we didn’t have a clear vision of how the arrangements would all come together at the time). However, we quickly realized that her ideas and vision would become priority over ours. Not only that, but she was very headstrong in terms of her opinions for what she wanted. When we met in person for our final walk through to discuss the arrangements, she stormed in 20 minutes late, banging all her supplies around. When we were discussing what we wanted and how to set up she kept pushing other ideas to make it more “grand”. We specifically wanted to keep it simple and it took us insisting to get her to finally drop her alternative vision. She was also very scatter brained. Every time we called her she would always be flustered and tell us about all of the other things she had going on. We would have to follow up multiple times. Then comes the day of the wedding, and she shows up an hour late, so the photographer couldn’t get pictures of some of the bouquets, etc. that we had planned and put on a schedule we created for her. Ten minutes before we are expected to walk down the aisle, she still has trash and flower pieces all over the floor in the reception room. Me and my groomsmen had to help clean up to get her out of there. Because she was late, one of our arrangements planned for the ceremony sign wasn't placed before the ceremony began. Icing on the cake came later. She had asked us previously what we wanted to do with all the flowers after the wedding and mentioned that she often takes the arrangements to a nearby retirement home. We really liked this idea and told her that would be great. My parents stayed after to get a few of our personal items after the reception and see her throwing all of the flower in the garbage!! Why say you were going to take them somewhere and then just toss them out? We might have kept some if that was the only option. In the end, the floral arrangements turned out beautiful but I am certain we could have gotten the exact same outcome with far less headache.

Using The Perfect Poppy was one of the best choices I made for my wedding day! Karen went above and beyond to achieve my vision while staying in my budget! The flowers were gorgeous. My arbor turned into a work of art with The Perfect Poppy's cloth and flowers added. All my guests kept mentioning the beautiful flowers and decor.

Karen was wonderful. She provided beautiful wedding party, ceremony, reception and dinner floral decorations for my daughters wedding. She jumped in at the last minute when our other floral arrangements fell through. She totally understood the look my daughter wanted and exceeded all our expectations.

Karen is wonderful! She works very hard to give you what you want and like! I loved every bit of the flowers and greenery from the wedding! I cried when I first saw my flowers!! She is so great at what she does! I love her!

Karen at The Perfect Poppy was amazing! She was more than willing to work within the budget we gave her and had so many wonderful ideas. She transformed our ceremony and reception and all of the florals were more than I could have hoped for!

I hired Karen for our wedding based off of a recommendation. I am so happy I did!! I am not from GA and so I had to find all of my vendors based off of reviews. She was so helpful with recommending other vendors and really went out of her way to make my day perfect. The flowers were gorgeous and I received tons of compliments. She was also affordable. I highly recommend The Perfect Poppy!

This florist was recommended to us. She really didn't understand what we were going for, even after multiple conversations and many pictures sent. She was a little condescending when it came to doing something out of her comfort zone. That being said, I understand that it's difficult for people to think outside the box. I would say if your wedding is more traditional, she is the one to go with. If you are a little more quirky and are going for a more unique look, make sure to bring in plenty of references just to make sure there aren't any misunderstandings. She did a good job; the flowers were beautiful in the end. Everyone loved the huge piece on the buffet table.

My reception venue recommended Karen and The Perfect Poppy. I met with Karen and showed her some of my ideas and she was able to come up with so much more than I even imagined. She had lots of great ideas and recommendations for many types of flowers. She used some flowers I had never known existed and everything turned out beautifully. I was so happy with my bouquet and all the decorations at the church and reception venue. Her designs added to the venues without being too overpowering. I love fresh flowers, and all of hers were beautiful and stayed that way throughout the entire day. I thought her prices were very reasonable for the types and amount of flowers that we had. Her team went in and made sure everything was set-up just right at each of the venues. I could not have been happier with all the flowers at my wedding!

Karen was awesome! I only sat down with her one time and I would give her examples of photos and she knew exactly how I wanted it done! She is a perfectionist and does this full time! She has been in magazines and even on TV for her work! Highly recommend her to brides who know exactly what they want and even those who don't have a clue about flowers!
