I knew Tajalli would do a great job with my wedding since she did such a great job with my good friends wedding (her sister!) and she certainly delivered! I was in love with the idea of having soft blooms and lush greenery at my wedding and she made it happen immediately. Tajalli was a pleasure to work with! Her flexibility and ability to just roll with the punches meant everything to me (Covid bride club!). The installation at our head table was breathtaking! I also added on ceremony florals late in the planning process and Tajalli slayed! My husband also surprised me the day after our wedding with a 30th birthday brunch - Tajalli worked with him on repurposing our centerpieces for the brunch. I highly recommend !!!

Tajalli did an AMAZING job with our wedding flowers. Everything was so beautiful. We had multiple on site installations and everything was done perfectly. Highly recommend! She also dealt with numerous changes during the planning process as covid and guest counts evolved, we postponed our wedding, and I changed my mind about designs. Through all of it she was extremely patient. The only hiccup was that in the last of one of these many proposals, there was a calculation error which then later meant that we had to go above the original budget to support everything we wanted. However, with how beautiful everything turned out, it was all worth it in the end! Thanks Tajalli!!

The Petal came recommended to us by our wedding coordinator, and I am SO happy that she did. We worked with Tajalli who is such a skilled florist. She did all of the flowers for my wedding, the centerpieces, and a greenery install at our venue, Quincy Hall. Tajalli made sure I was informed about pricing and logistics the entire process. She did setup and take down, so I didn't have to worry about coordinating that. During the early stages of planning Tajalli took time to understand my vision. She sent over vision boards to make sure she was seeing what I imagined correctly. When I saw my flowers and walked into my venue, everything was perfect. The flowers held up all night, the bouts didn't fall apart, and the installation that she did created a perfect soft and romantic feel we were going for. I highly recommend The Petal!

Tajalli is a different level of florist....she is talented, perspective, and out of this world amazing. I gave her some ideas and photos and boy did she DELIVER!!! Tajalli was every bride's dream! I never had to worry about the flowers once because I knew she had it covered. After meeting with many florists, once I met Tajalli I knew The Petal was the one. She understood my vision right away and was able to keep it within my budget. She was incredibly flexible with my busy schedule and always on top of what needed to be done. On my big day, everything was exactly how I envisioned. I am SO happy with how our flowers looked. The Petal truly helped my wedding day dreams come true!!

Picking a florist was somewhat difficult for our wedding because we were definitely picky, but we really didn't have a clear vision. We had our colors, a bunch of Pinterest pictures, and that was about it. Working with Tajali was so smooth from the first meeting and we really felt like she understood our vision from the beginning. After our first meeting, she already provided an extensive mood board that we were really able to funnel our thoughts and ideas into. We changed our bridesmaids dresses from blush to grey about midway through, and she was seamlessly able to make changes accordingly. Furthermore, we had an idea for a large statement hanging installation with absolutely no clear details to give her. But Tajali took so much initiative doing research, reaching out to our vendors, etc. and ended up creating a piece beyond our expectations. On the day of the wedding, her team was so great and took care of everything without adding any stress whatsoever. Overall, from the beginning, Tajali and her team were able to take a bunch of ideas and random pictures, and really build amazing pieces while helping us stay within our budget. At not point did I question Tajali. Her confidence in herself and her ability to understand our ideas removed so much stress from our planning process. She really made something that I didn't care much about going into planning turn into one of my favorite memories of our wedding.

Tajalli was amazing start to finish! If she is not available the day of your wedding, pick another day! Seriously. She is worth the wait. The initial proposal she sent me after our phone consultation was easy to read and follow. The style board she sent me captured my vision completely. She hand delivered personals the day of my wedding (such a personal touch) and upon seeing my bouquet my eyes filled with tears! My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous! Everything from the pillar candles that lined the aisle to the huge arch where I said, "I do" were beyond perfect. If I had to get married all over again, I would 100% include The Petal. It was the best decision I made!

Tajalli did the flowers for my wedding this summer and absolutely killed it! It was the easiest process ever and she was such a sweetheart with me when I was stressed out about the arrival of my dress. She was the quickest one to respond out of all my vendors which helped decrease my stress level. Every single detail was attended too!

I don't even know where to start. Tajalli was hands-down the best vendor we booked for our wedding day. I didn't realize how much of a role flowers were going to play in our big day until we got deeper into planning, and she truthfully made all of our dreams come true. In the midst of my own wedding planning, I myself started my own wedding business and worked with a local florist where I learned more and more about flowers. I made specific requests along the way (which, I totally know is annoying-sorry Taj!), and had to also make some nearly last minute changes and she never once told me no or that she couldn't do something or that my budget was too low. It is hard to come by vendors who are both down-to-earth AND talented and with Tajalli you will absolutely get the best of both worlds. Go with The Petal! Tajalli did my wedding flowers and I could not have been happier. She was very professional and everything turned out so gorgeous. Tajalli is amazing! Seriously, one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I was unsure of how I wanted my flowers to look like in the beginning and she gave me lots of options and quickly made adjustments in the planning stages to designs/flowers I liked or disliked. The flowers were gorgeous, and I would highly recommend going with the arch decorated in flowers during the ceremony, which we repurposed to use at our sweetheart table at the reception. The best find I had for our wedding! I absolutely loved working with Tajalli. From the time of our initial call all the way through to the wedding day, she exceeded all of my expectations. I loved working with Tajalli! She was so patient during the initial call when my fiance, and both of my parents were in the room. She also sent a lovely style board with her estimate right after the conversation - so I had a full picture of what she envisioned. The owner Tajalli and I spoke over the phone and sent several emails back and forth for my December wedding. As an out of town bride I told her I only had one week I would be in the Chicago area before our wedding. Our phone call went well and she told me she would email me a proposal and we had a date picked out to meet for our consultation. Two weeks later, when I arrived in Chicago I emailed her again to confirm our meeting and ask about the proposal as I had still not gotten it yet. She emailed me two days later to tell me that she was no longer available for my wedding date. That would have been nice to know before I had gotten there because my time was limited to meet with vendors. If you are planning from out of town or have a busy schedule, maybe The Petal isn't the best choice.

I was married this past May and utilized The Petal for our flower needs. Tajalli was an absolute pleasure to work and extremely patient as we worked through exactly what we wanted. She was more than willing to stay within our budget and provided us with multiple pricing options, which was great. We had an amazing experience working with Tajalli. She met me at my venue to walk through it with me and made recommendations for decor. We then had another two calls before the wedding to make adjustments to our plans. She helped me stay within budget and delivered everything as promised. She even dealt with three different delivery locations between where my fiance and I were getting ready, plus the venue. I don't even know where to begin. Tajalli is a joy to work with as a human and as an artist. She has an amazing ability to accentuate space with a natural but somehow still stunning array of flowers, greenery and candles. Her style is sleek and beautiful with a touch of flair. I couldn't be happier with choosing the Petal. Originally I went through the entire planning process with a different florist. When I got the price final I was going through some real sticker shock! Just the Set up fee was 2/3 of my budget. I ended up calling the Petal and I explained to her what I wanted and gave her my budget. She was very quick to put something together that worked for me, and was very receptive of any changes I wanted to make. When the big day came everything was stunning! I got so many compliments on the flowers and my bouquet! Even my photographer said it was one of the prettiest bouquets she has seen. And she has photographed 40 different weddings just this year. I couldn't be happier. The pricing was very fair, and the end result was even better than I had hoped for. 10/10 would use the Petal again! The owner of The Petal, Tajalli was very easy to work with. What stood her out from the rest is that she genuinely cared in the vision of our floral arrangements before I even signed the contract. Tajalli asked for photos to understand what it is I was looking for, as many florist merely gave a rough estimate of cost running thousands without knowing any details to our arrangements. Tajalli's prices definitely out beat other florists I came in contact with, and I am pleased to have had someone personable and detail oriented in her work. The pinterest photos I had as inspiration to my wedding day matched even better in person to the tee. On my crazy wedding morning, Tajalli even took the time at the ceremony to stick around for about more than a half hour to help our groomsmen with boutonnieres, flower girls with crowns, mothers with corsages, and until the very last minute waited for me and my bridesmaids arrival to hand off our bouquets without even asking. The Petal was an easy process to work with and I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends in the future! Thank you Tajalli.

We chose Tajalli (The Petal) for our floral and decor because my first impression of Tajalli was that she is calm and collected in any situation. We are so very thankful that we had her help throughout the wedding planning process. She was also one of the only florists in Chicago, out of the many I spoke to, that did not snicker at my budget. After our initial conversation, she sent some follow-up questions that really showed me that she cared about my cultural background and how it is incorporated into the wedding flowers. She then sent a proposal a couple weeks later (I was not in any rush because there was plenty of time) that was detailed and exactly within my budget. After signing the contract, we did not speak again until about 4 months before wedding date. I had a change in reception venue and Tajalli met me at the new venue to make necessary changes to the plan. She was able to get me a new plan in a short time. She also lessened my stress level and coordinated with both of my venues personally without direction from me. For example, I had a miscommunication with the ceremony venue about set-up time. I told Tajalli about it and she reached out to the coordinator at the Nature Museum and took care of the entire situation for me. Tajalli is extremely detail oriented but also very efficient. She always sent follow up questions to make sure that everything was exactly as I wanted but only after careful evaluation of what has already been discussed. I added a couple things last minute and all I needed to do was email her to let her know. Tajalli personally delivered my bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower baskets to our hotel and was on time despite the crazy traffic on Memorial Day weekend in downtown Chicago. The beautiful flowers and the ceremony arch (photos attached) - I did not have a specific color combination for my wedding or for the flowers. I gave Tajalli some photos of flowers I liked and the general colors to avoid for a Chinese wedding. I could not have asked for more gorgeous arrangements. The ceremony arch was so perfect against the backdrop of the Nature Museum. I felt beautiful going down the aisle (thank goodness Tajalli reminded me to hold the bouquet lower). Tajalli also made my crazy idea happen. I wanted to move the arch from the ceremony to my reception venue and convert it into a photobooth backdrop. All Tajalli said was “okay, I think I can make that happen” and she did. My family and friends loved it! When I donated my wedding flowers to Random Acts of Flowers the next day, the director gushed at the beautiful arrangements. Thank you so much for making our wedding even more special.

From the bride: When I first started looking for florists and telling them my budget, I had several tell me my budget of $3,000-4,000 for flowers was too small. Then, I reached out to Tajalli and The Petal. She was calm and patient and told me she could absolutely help me stay within budget. She was always readily available by phone or email. She would quickly turn around and show me different options and flowers. When it came time to finalize our order, she sent me detailed outlines of how many of each item and what the item would look like. She always always ready to make alterations to our order and sent me many pictures of what I was asking for from previous weddings. On the day of, she showed up on time, was very calm (which helped me stay calm) and made sure all the flowers were in place. She explained what we needed to do with our flowers (we were using them as the center pieces later that night) and how to hold them. She then delivered and did the same for the groomsmen. The ceremony was absolutely stunning. We were so happy with her service that, last minute, we decided to use her for the rehearsal dinner the night before. She kept with the same color scheme and made gorgeous arrangements that we were also able to use on the wedding night. I HIGHLY recommend using The Petal for any and all your flower needs. I will definitely be using her in the future.

1 word....AMAZING!! I can't even begin to describe how thankful I am to have chosen The Petal. Tajalli was so incredibly accommodating and her work is amazing. She was able to completely transform my reception space from an industrial loft to a romantic garden feel. The way that she assembled my altar was exactly how I had pictured it. The long tables were absolutely perfect decorated with the gold vases I provided her and the greenery was beautiful. I can't say enough about how amazing she is. If you are looking for a florist for your wedding book The Petal and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

The Petal provided beautiful flowers for my wedding. I had a lot of specific ideas about my floral arrangements for my wedding and did my best to communicate them to Tajalli via email with pictures and elaborate descriptions, over the phone and in person. We made slight changes to my proposal as the months grew closer to my wedding day and I had a sharper vision for my wedding. I was an out of town bride who planned my wedding from states away. I found it fairly challenging for a number of reasons as it would be due to the distance, but it was unfortunate that I was only able to meet with Tajalli once to describe placement of the flowers in the reception space. I would have liked to walk through the ceremony space too and I would have liked to be able to talk about the floral arrangements when I was in town days before my wedding. Also, I found her working hours to be odd for a business as I was only able to schedule calls with her after 8:00 pm CT, which for me was after 9:00 pm eastern on weekdays. We also butted heads when I made requests to alter the shade of flowers from lavender to lilac and a few other tweaks like that. She suggested that she would need to charge me a fee for the changes, but it clearly stated on my contract that changes are welcomed up until 30days before the wedding. So, all in all the correspondence and customer service aspects were slightly difficult for me was difficult, BUT the final product was really, really good. I think any bride or person in the Chicago area would have a fantastic time working with The Petal and regardless of where you are the actual product and day of service will be great, as mine was. My only complaint with the day of flowers is that I paid for flowers on the cake table and there were none. I look back at my pictures and feel like the table looked incomplete and that bothers me. The pricing of The Petal was very reasonable and I did receive tons of compliments on my flowers. I actually was really impressed with my bridal bouquet. However, it did not stay together well the day after my wedding, so I am upset that I was not able to preserve it.

I was blown away by my flowers from The Petal. In the beginning, I had a hard time articulating my vision, but The Petal was able to execute what I wanted when I didn't even know what I wanted. When I saw the flowers in person, I was overjoyed with their beauty. They were better than I could ever have imagined. I received so many compliments from my guests on the flowers. The Petal was very professional and responsive. Everything arrived on time and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I'll always recommend The Petal. They truly made my day amazing!

I absolutely loved my flowers from The Petal!! I saw the good reviews online and chose The Petal to do the flowers for my bridal party. The wedding was in Chicago July 18, but all of the planning was done from GA! This was scary, but thanks to all of the emails, the planning board, and the creativity from Tajalli, everything turned out perfectly! I had a very conservative budget for flowers, and The Petal made it work within my budget without giving up quality! I would definitely recommend the Petal to brides!! I'm writing this review, not only because I absolutely owe it to The Petal for doing such an amazing job, but because great reviews are all I had to go on to make this choice from out of town, and I'm so glad that I went by the reviews because they were awesome!!

The Petal's flowers were stunning. I had a very broad idea of what I wanted, but the result was better than I could imagine. It was a super easy process and we got tons of compliments on the flowers. I was sad to leave the flowers for the honeymoon, they were so perfect. The whole process was stress free.

It was really important for our wedding to reflect our personality and style, and we didn't want it to be totally traditional. We most of the planning ourselves, including the invitations and program. Tajalli did a really good job creating flower arrangements that fit our style. She worked hard to understand our vision of the wedding, and had a really good knowledge of what kinds of flowers would work best to convey our aesthetics. She created pieces that were simple, classic and with just a hint of nontraditional - exactly what we were looking for! I especially loved the little extra touches she included. Like what she did with the flower arrangements on the tables. She added lemons to the rectangular vases to add a splash of color - it was so creative, and we got tons of compliments on it. I still look at my wedding pictures and smile. Best of all, we were able to stay within our budget! I highly recommend the Petal for any event!

The Petal is an amazing business to work with. I got married in August 2013. When I met with Tajalli, I shared a few ideas, we talked through the feel of the wedding...and she executed exactly what I wanted...with improvements! I ordered centerpieces, my bouquet, and corsages for immediate family. Everything was done on time and I was able to have them delivered to the venue with time to spare. They looked fresh all night and complemented the theme of the wedding. She seemed to read my mind. The Petal did a wonderful job on my wedding and reception flowers! Our wedding location was a large, traditional hall and The Petal strategically placed flowers to make every space feel beautiful. There were overwhelming choices for everything in regards to our wedding. The Petal did a wonderful job listening to our plan for the wedding and recommending options. I love flowers and they were important to me, but I didn't have to worry at all! The ceremony flower balls were my favorite - they created flower balls on stands to frame our ceremony. It was a beautiful, modern touch in a very traditional space. I would recommend them for future events!
