We had the absolute pleasure of having the Phil Abair band play at our daughter’s wedding at the Essex Resort and Spa this past summer and they were phenomenal from start to finish. They were easy to work with leading up to the wedding, checking in to make sure they had all songs that we wanted for the first dance, father-daughter and mother-son dances. Phil was professional, responsive, and easy to coordinate with—which gave us complete peace of mind. He also reached out several months before the wedding season to ask for recommendation on any new songs that we wanted the band to learn.
On the night of the wedding, they absolutely exceeded our expectation. The dance floor was packed the entire evening, from the first song to the very last. Their setlist was the perfect mix of classics and contemporary hits, appealing to every generation and keeping the energy sky-high. Friends and family all raved about how amazing the band was and how much fun they had dancing all night long. Also, want to mention that Phil’s lead singer has an awesome voice!
If you’re looking for a band for your wedding event or really any event — we highly recommend the Phil Abair band.
We hired the Phil Abair Band for our wedding. They started the night announcing our wedding parties grand entrance, helped facilitate speeches, and played the music for our first dances. They then performed all night long and had the entire dance floor packed all night. They were absolutely fabulous and we received so many compliments! Everyone loved the song choices, their lead singer has a phenomenal voice, and the acoustics were great! We were so happy with the band and would recommend highly recommend them.
Phil and his band are INCREDIBLE. They are so talented and the music selection had our guests dancing for hours!! I had some fun extra ideas I wanted to work in and Phil was wonderful in helping me make those happen. Cannot recommend them higher!!!
Great dance band with amazing musicians and vocalists (Keegan can really sing!). A good selection of dinner music and tunes that kept people on the dance floor all night. Phil was east to work with. We had lots of compliments about his band’s music and the musicians from our guests. Book them early!!
The Phil Abair Band totally rocked our wedding party this past weekend! They really blew us away with their awesome sound, insanely good singing and ability to read the crowd and keep the dance floor going all night long! All our guests have commented on how great they were and we really couldn't be happier for choosing them to play for our party! The only downside was when they had to stop! 10/10 recommend, book them!!
My husband and I hired Phil Abair Band for our June 2022 wedding and it was the best choice! We would highly recommend them to everyone looking for a great band. They had the dance floor packed all night long and all our guests raved about how good the band was. All the members of the band are incredibly talented and they played a perfect mix of old and new songs. They definitely know how to read a crowd and get people dancing. Our wedding was so much fun and that was in big part thanks to Phil Abair Band!
This is the second time we had the Phil Abair band play for us and they do not disappoint! We asked for some horn players this time for our daughter’s wedding and the band brought the tent down! No one could stay in their seats. It was a night to remember with guests telling us that they thought the band one of the best they had heard at a wedding. We are already trying to think of an event so we can have them return! Thanks Phil!!
We cannot say enough great things about this band! Each member is incredibly talented and the female singer has an absolutely incredible voice. We are so grateful the band was available and we would recommend to anyone looking to have a band at their wedding! They were the highlight of our wedding
We were SO incredibly happy with our experience working with the Phil Abair Band and so pleased with having them play at our wedding! All of our friends and family were blown away by how talented the band was, and month later haven’t stopped raving about how great they were. They were a definite highlight from our wedding.
I have been to other weddings where there were lulls in the music or awkward breaks where the energy dies down, and that never happened with Phil Abair. They played the perfect mix of high energy songs and slower dance songs. They were professional, yet fun and laid back at the same time. Reasonably priced, given how talented they are! Would highly recommend!!
I cannot say enough good things about Phil Abair and his band. They played at my wedding this July (~220 people in Woodstock, Vermont) and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE and SO FUN. I found them because they played at my friends wedding last summer (where they were also incredible) and she had found them based on another friend's recommendation for a wedding band. We wanted a fun vibe where everyone danced all night, and we definitely got it.... everyone barely left the dance floor! The #1 thing I heard the next morning at goodbye brunch was all the compliments toward the band. People honestly can't stop telling us how much they loved these guys!! They played something for everyone.
They were also super easy to work with before the wedding. Booking them was easy, paying was easy, working with them all around was very easy. Once they arrived, they were all incredibly friendly. Our guests really felt like they were part of the party. Honestly I can't say enough great things.... THANK YOU PHIL ABAIR BAND!!!
We could not have chosen a better band for our wedding. It was like our own personal concert - they sounded just like the original artists and are truly talented musicians. The female vocalist was simply incredible and the breadth of genres they are able to play and do incredibly well is impressive. They also learned a song especially for our wedding and it was exceptional! Every person that we have spoken to since our reception cannot stop talking about how amazing the band was. With Phil Abair Band you work with the musicians who will actually perform at your wedding - not a booking service that won’t tell you who is showing up the day of. In all honesty, we would hire Phil Abair Band again for any party without hesitation - they were simply AWESOME and had everyone dancing until the very end!
The Phil Abair band played at my wedding on June 1st, 2019, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They were very responsive and easy to work with ahead of the wedding, and exceeded our expectations the day of. Thanks to them, our dance floor was packed the entire night and we’ve gotten rave reviews from all of our guests. The Phil Abair Band was the wedding band of our dreams! The dance floor was packed all night long and everyone had the time of their lives. Guests were consistently praising their performance and inquiring about them throughout the night. One of my bridesmaids, who's recently engaged, is already making moves to book them next summer! Cannot thank them enough for making our wedding reception both incredible and unforgettable.
The Phil Abair Band is top shelf. Broad repertoire, excellent musicians, tight band that has fun playing and professional in all of their dealings.
Special notes:
Phil worked with me personally to build a two hour set. They learned four new songs for our gig and rehearsed the set a few nights before. They come ready to rock and boy do they.
They were amazing in range from soft dinner music to a non-stop set of dance and party music that filled the floor and drew a loud and persistent encore call, which they obliged.
Our family has booked them twice and they are absolute top notch. You will be very happy with their talent and professional approach and your guests will have soooo much fun!

Phil & Band were amazing at our wedding- there wasn't one person left in their seat during our reception- they knew tons of songs and did a great job making the party happen!
The band was Awesome!! They played at the Burlington High School 40th Reunion. The music choices were spot on and the vocals and instrumentals were perfect.. We are going to have you back for our next one!!!
The Phil Abair band was perfect for our wedding at the Stowehof Memorial Day Weekend. They learned songs for both our ceremony and first dance and it was all so perfect! They were a fun and sweet group and had everyone up and dancing the entire night. We even had an impromptu sing along with them at the end. Really made our wedding that much special and would highly recommend them!
Phil and the band played at our small wedding (about 50 people) last week at the West Mountain Inn and we could not have been more pleased. Phil was easy to work with and always responded quickly and the contract was clear and straight forward. We left the playlist mostly up to them and they did a great job of mixing oldies, country, classics, and some newer pop songs-- all of which got every single one of our guests on the dance floor. People couldn't stop talking about how great they were and we couldn't agree more! Definitely better than anything we could have expected. Not to mention, they were just nice people! I would highly recommend the Phil Abair Band and we'll definitely be using them for any future events in Vermont. We love them!!
We've heard this band several times, and they were just on the night of our wedding. Everyone at the reception was dancing and smiling and having an amazing time. Hire them for your wedding! You'll not regret it.
Phil abair's band did a great job at the wedding but only played one slow song which made some guests complain a bit after so try to be specific when talking about what you would like/not like.
We LOVE the Phil Abair Band! Our wedding was small, about 50 people, and they made it fun for everyone! They have great energy and talent. They played everything we wanted and then some, we were so happy with the songs they sung that we hadn't planned. You could tell they were having fun while they performed and it made us have even more fun. It makes me smile just thinking about it! You can't beat live music on such a special day, thank you so much Phil Abair Band!
The Phil Abair Band kept most of our 160 (diverse) guests on the dance floor all night. The contract was clear and Phil was very easy to work with. They played all types of music and the results were just what I wanted.
We were not very familiar with this band prior to hiring them for our wedding. We were quite pleased with both their performance and flexibility! They are not only great musicians, but did a wonderful job of introducing the wedding party and announcing events throughout the evening, such as the cutting of the cake. If you want a great band at a reasonable price- the phil abair band is the way to go!
