(All due to the energy and the excitement The Pictures brought to the evening). They learned a new song for the bride and groom’s first dance, honored my daughter’s requests for entry song, father-daughter song with slight requested changes, cake cutting song, and final private last dance for the bride and groom. We contracted for their 8 piece band and they each were so accommodating and professional. The chairs were empty and the dance floor was jumping from start to finish. Absolutely no regrets! They have so much talent; each member of the band brought their all and made the night such a blast. They hit the songs that I was dying to dance to at my wedding, kept the energy up and the dance floor full! (we rented a dance floor based on the recommended size for our guest list and we probably should have gone one size up with how many people were dancing for most of the night!) Would add stars if I could! They really helped make our night unique, special, and so much fun! Even our guests have commented about how great they were and how they were too busy on the dance floor, enjoying themselves instead of out at the photo booth or taking their own pictures.

During several of the songs the band members found their way onto the dance floor to sing and dance with the audience as they played their instruments.
This was the best party we have ever given and The Pictures Band was a huge part of the success. They were very accommodating with song requests and at the last minute were able to provide a sound system for the wedding ceremony.
They were also quick to respond to any questions we might have.
We will definitely book them again!

t sound quality, so much so that many guests asked, "Where did you find these guys?" as if The Pictures Band was a famous band passing through Austin on tour and I just talked them into showing up at the wedding somehow. Also, I can't say enough how important it is that they play so many Central TX weddings. Their experience is helpful as they've played most popular wedding venues numerous times and have a sense for when to play what types of music during different times of the event. Lastly, they are responsive and easy to book.
I checked out many bands live before making the decision to hire The Pictures Band. Glad I put the time in. It was a magical night that I'll never forget, and they made a wonderful contribution!

When we were planning our wedding, we were so fatigued at hearing the SAME SONGS at every wedding. Then we came across the Pictures. They had a lot of 80s hits that included the songs we *actually* liked -- Jessie's Girl, The Outfield, and Tak...
e On Me, etc. Perfect. Sure enough, they were absolutely awesome.
To top it off, my husband was formerly a SoCal punk skater kid, so he loves Blink182 and 90's punk -- not typically on the set list for wedding bands. Nevertheless, the Pictures added some of his favorites and it was an unexpected highlight to the night.
The Pictures completely exceeded our expectations and several people told us they thought the band was the best they'd heard. The dance floor was packed and energetic all night. You can tell that they're doing what they love and are passionate about getting everything right. ps -- get the FULL BAND! You need the brass!

They even did a good job covering the Neil Young song that we chose for our Father/Daughter Dance, a tune that had to be well outside their usual repertoire. They worked hard and their breaks were only long enough for the audience to catch their breath.

nable price. I honestly believe that the band could charge double for their talent and entertainment value. They do a wide variety of music, and they are very good at it! My grandparents loved the old-school, classic music for dinner and then my friends loved the upbeat music for dancing. This band is so very talented and really made the evening amazing. They even learned our first dance song on their own. It was not on their set list, but they took the time to learn the song and executed it flawlessly. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

that they played post dinner had everyone on the dance floor! Nobody left the dance floor until the lights went on at the end of the night. At one point I looked around and there were laser beams, from their light display, going around the room and smoke coming up from the stage, also provided by them, and I felt like I was at a concert! I am still so impressed with their level of skill and professionalism that I can hardly believe they were actually at my wedding. They were so good I can hardly believe it. My 90 year old grandma loved them, my 60 year old parents loved them and my 30 year old friends loved them! BOOK THEM!!!

when the dance floor can stay full and keep flowing with the momentum. As far as the songs, we are able to learn almost every song asked of us, but that time we couldn't learn it. Please know that 99% of time we are able to do so and as you see, no one else has made that claim, so it isn't something we did cavalierly. We sincerely try to do everything to make you happy. I so appreciate you giving us the 5 stars, because your happiness IS very important to us. I do sincerely apologize we couldn't do the song for you and I apologize that I hadn't seen this review yet, we just partnered with The Knot today, so I am just seeing this and wanted to respond! I know its been awhile, but we didn't use this site til today.

ave only these two reviews in a row back in 2007 when we were unable to learn your song. We had a major health issue (life and death) and the band struggled to make these receptions happen at that time (not cancel). After making it through the surgery etc and on the other side now and want to sincerely apologize for that not happening for you. We try so hard to be everything you want in a band and I feel we let you down about the song, so please forgive us if you can. Also, I apologize that I hadn't seen this review yet, we just partnered with The Knot today, so I am just seeing this and wanted to respond!

The Smith's (family based) band started in elementary school and are still at it today, so you can count on this band being the Same Unique Members every time and very well rehearsed! They do not engage in duplicate bands like many other bands.
