of the decisions we had to make at the Pines they made it very simple and fun. Hannah was an absolute angel! She made the day go by so smooth, I knew we could count on her when there was a question and they set everything up exactly how I wanted it when I brought the decorations in. Morgan was amazing all night making sure my husband and I were doing good and happy with how everything was going throughout the evening. And our DJ Toby made sure everyone had fun the entire time. If we had to do this process again we would 1000% choose the Pines and choose to use any Wedgwood venue! I would also say that we only saw two venues and after meeting the people at the Pines I was sold!

She had some great ideas for things we could do at the reception, and sent a very kind thank you letter after we toured.

What really stood out to me was their extraordinary customer service. As the night was winding down, I found myself in a panic about the weather conditions, and Morgan stepped in with such compassion, calming me down. To top it off, Morgan had her amazing server sister, Claire, follow me down the mountain to make sure I got home safely. It’s rare to see such dedication, and it truly speaks to how much they care for their guests. If you want a place that goes above and beyond in every way, I cannot recommend Pines at Genessee Wedgewood enough. They truly make you feel like family, and it shows that they love what they do.

Emily, our banquet captain, was super attentive all night and made sure things were going the way we wanted. And lastly, our bartender Matt, kept the party going all night and made sure our custom cocktails were everything we wanted. I can't stress this enough about how great this whole experience was for us. Thank you again!

Not only was it a beautiful place, all of the staff we worked with were PHENOMENAL!! They took care of everything and consistently checked in with us during the entire wedding planning process. It was so helpful to have them take care of the majority of things while we got to have fun planning all the little details we really wanted. We also got to try food ahead of time to determine what we wanted to have for our wedding day! Wedgewood truly makes the wedding process so much less stressful and we never felt like we were behind or didn't get a say in what we wanted. They listened to our wants and needs so well and throughout the wedding day I never knew if things "went wrong" because they took care of everything. Cannot recommend The Pines and Wedgewood in general enough!!

Finally, soon after having dinner in the banquet room, our table and a couple of others were told by staff that our tables would be broken down to make room for the dance floor. When I asked a staff member where we were supposed to eat our dessert, she replied curtly that we could find empty seats at other tables! I don’t know how much money this event cost the families of the bride and groom, but I don’t think their guests got what was paid for.

Decor can even be kept quite minimal thanks to the natural beauty, and the high quality of Wedgewood's facility (tables, chairs, linens, etc.). We were impressed with the food at our buffet, and the drinks packages were reasonable and very customizable. One of the great parts of working with Wedgewood are all the little things they have available and do; from table centerpieces and signage to champagne in the bridal suite, they really aim to make wedding planning easy and make the couple feel taken care of. We are very glad we chose The Pines as our venue and would recommend it to anyone else!

The Makery and Juniper and Honey were also amazing, communicative and really helped to bring our vision to life. Would definitely recommend this venue to couples who want to work with experienced and professional vendors that take a lot of stress out of the planning process. We're really grateful to all of them for making our day as fun and wonderful as it was.

The entire year of planning and the wedding day were flawless. They thought of details that never would have entered my mind and were absolutely on point with communication. I truly never had to stress over anything and was completely free to party and interact with our guests on our wedding day. Cristen was a fabulous day of coordinator. We were also working with a limited budget, and Cristen and the team were happy to lay out all of our options and help us make it work. Booking our wedding through The Pines at Wedgewood Weddings was worth every penny. I highly recommend this venue and team! We thank you for the perfect wedding!

We felt as if they did all of the heavy lifting for us and they were checking in on us frequently to make sure we were doing OK. The venue itself is stunning. There are two options for beautiful and scenic ceremony spaces and reception areas, or you can rent out the entire place if that's something you're able to do! The pricing is very reasonable in comparison to other places we had toured. It's also VERY flexible. Wedgewood Weddings allows you to include any outside vendors of your choice, or you can do everything through them and their third party vendors if you so choose! It really feels like there are endless options. What's even better is that you do not have to pay everything all at once! Wedgewood weddings works with you on a payment schedule and most (if not all) of your wedding day decisions are not set in stone until 10 days before wedding day. The only thing I would advise anyone to do is to ensure that you thoroughly review your final payment details and keep/file ALL receipts and emails. We had caught that they had double charged us for something and once we had pointed that out to them, they were very apologetic and kind, and addressed the issue and corrected it almost immediately. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It's definitely worth a visit, whether you're looking for something budget friendly, or even something fancy and over the top if that floats your boat!

area absolutely gorgeous. The entire planning and day-of-event group was very organized and everything seemed to run perfectly. Wedgewood has fantastic vendors that they partner with/recommend and the location made it very easy for out of town guests to get to. Most people stress about the planning of their weddings and I can't imagine using someone other than Wedgewood. One perk of using them is that you don't have to hire an outside coordinator or planner, which we thought was amazing. We wanted to give a special shoutout to Cristen (event expert), Sara (event planner), Claire (day-of operations), and Darrian (event bartender) for their service, kindness, attention to detail, and execution. In hindsight, the only thing my wife said that she would change would be to invest in ambiance lighting for reception room. There are a couple of add-ons that I felt should have just come with the standard package and not with an additional fee, such as the elite chairs, but Wedgewood is more cost-effective than most wedding options so it is hard to complain. One recommendation that I would give would be to go to one of their food-tasting events before your wedding. We almost completely switched our menu for the event and ended up being very satisfied with our selections. All things considered, our guests had a wonderful time and this is the third wedding with Wedgewood that our family has had, so we recommend them 100%.

ood Weddings at the Pines not only has an amazing venue in Colorado but has several other features that made wedding planning a breeze. The first thing that we saw was the venue. The unique location, right in the mountains outside of Golden, checked off all the aesthetics that we wanted – surrounded by nature and pine trees, an experience of the Rockies (and of course a ride that isn’t too far away from civilization). The venue itself is great. We had an opportunity to visit it beforehand and it has a nice floorplan with large windows and a balcony that overlooks nature. We love the Colorado mountain atmosphere, and this place has all of it. The outdoor ceremony location is amazing, so we are bummed we didn’t get to have an outdoor wedding! The second great thing about Wedgewood was the staff (Sara and Audrey helped us with our wedding). They were extremely responsive and flexible. They were transparent throughout the whole planning process, followed through with anything we asked, and answered all our questions. They made sure to periodically check in and keep track of the whole wedding process. Because they were so experienced, this took a ton of stress off me and my fiancée. The third great thing about Wedgewood is the flexibility of customization as well as the features included. Looking into other venues, things are often not included in the venue (i.e. food catering, the cake, florals, invitations, drinks, DJ services, officiant, etc.) which means you will have to go find and organize them yourself. The fact that the pricing is competitive with other places, but you have so many of these things included, was more than worth it. They gave us a wedding binder which easily explains all the aspects of the wedding and keeps it organized. In terms of customization, we were able to add or remove specific things that we did or didn’t want. For example, accent lightings are a part of the elite package, but we only had the premium. They allowed us to include these in our wedding despite not having the deluxe package. We were also able to remove a few things as well that we didn’t want. Don’t even get me started with how easy it was coordinating florals, cakes, or the photographer either! I am very grateful that a lot of the nitty gritty was taken care of so we could focus on other aspects of the wedding without stress. I’m writing this a few months before my wedding and the process up until now has been smooth and enjoyable. I cannot wait until we actually get married at Wedgewood at the Pines in a few months!

She was on top of everything from the moment of assignment to day-of. She ran our timeline amazingly and helped so much when we found out that our main photographer didn’t show up and we had a backup coming in later. Her help and guidance on the day was really a stress reliever and everything ran so smoothly. The venue is beautiful, and I am so glad we chose to have my wedding here. The food was also absolutely amazing! We had breakfast and people are still raving about the waffles!

She was fantastic through the whole planning process with promptly answering any questions we had. On the day of, she was so professional and made sure things ran perfectly. Seriously couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. I also want to give a a shout out to the other onsite staff on the wedding day - everyone was unbelievably nice and made sure the event went off without a hitch. This place really knows what they're doing. Full disclosure, we booked the venue prior to the transition in management from The Pines at Genesee to The Pines by Wedgewood Weddings that took place Aug 1, 2023. When we booked, the prior management team did not have a liquor license so our contract stated that we would supply the alcohol. This was actually a huge selling point for us due to money saving. Initially it was hugely disappointing to find out that we'd have to choose a bar package through Wedgewood due to them getting a liquor license because it was going to cost us a lot more. However, I'm rating 5 stars because Connor, the Wedgewood General Manager, was very understanding and worked with us on the pricing. They ended up cutting us a significant deal. I understand this probably won't be the same experience for others going forward, but it says a lot about their integrity as a company!

any decor, and left it as is. We used the upper/Evergreen terrace. The same can be said for the indoor reception spaces, and we used the lower level. We rented the venue's centerpieces which were these beautiful, rustic lanterns with greenery. This made things so much easier vs paying for floral arrangements or doing something ourselves. The rustic look of the space is complimented by newer beautiful wooden tables and chairs that don't need tablecloths. Everyone we worked with at the venue was amazing! Our coordinator Ashley Shade was awesome every single step of the way and made things SO easy for us. When the venue changed ownership from The Pines at Genesee and became The Pines by Wedgewood, both Ashley and the Wedgewood reps contacted us and put our minds at ease. The Wedgewood rep scheduled a Zoom call with us right away and addressed any concerns we had. Everything stayed exactly the same with respect to our wedding, with the added bonus of new ownership obtaining a liquor license, so we would no longer have to provide our own alcohol, which was fantastic. When our coordinator Ashley left the venue about a month prior to our wedding, the new general manager, Connor Swanson took over and coordinated on the day along with Stephanie. They were both amazing on the day of our wedding, so friendly, and took care of every little thing - things I wouldn't have even thought of. Our wedding went off without a hitch and was beautiful. All catering staff were super friendly as well. At the end of the night the venue staff even brought our bags out to our car, packed some of our wedding cake up for us, and even surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine. I can't say a single negative or constructive thing about the venue and staff. Everything was wonderful, and it made for such a special day for us.

You can't go wrong either way. Even though another wedding took place that overlapped with ours (they started 90 minutes later), I totally forgot anyone but our guests were on the property and we never saw them. We were lucky with exceptionally beautiful weather, but the rest of the day we can thank the staff at the Pines. In the venue price, a Day-of-Coordinator is provided and Lauren did an AMAZING job for us. In the months leading up to our day, she made sure all of the details were locked in place and that we kept on track with our responsibilities. On the day of the wedding, Lauren made it so easy for us by taking care of both the large and small details (down to bringing us our food and knowing what we wanted from the bar so we could spend more time with each other or with guests). Everyone told us how the entire staff was pleasant and on top of the meal service and bar orders. That attention to detail meant that me and my better half simple got to enjoy our day! Some additional details you may find useful if considering the Pines: - We opted to add an extra hour to our reception time and that was well worth it as people kept dancing until the end. It was $500 extra for that hour and that was in line or better than most other places. - the food here is top notch! Even if we did not choose this venue, we were planning to use them as a caterer elsewhere. Don't miss the pistachio bread, random I know, but AMAZING! - There is not a ton of options for uber/lyft when leaving the venue as the location is a little bit outside the main town. We used a shuttle service with 15 passenger vans and it worked out great since we also had an open bar and then a late night after party in downtown Golden. - If you are doing a first look, there are some great parks and other locations nearby. We used an area with a bridge over running water, surrounded by a bit of forest at Keys on the Green.
