Mary was amazing to work with. I live across the country and her attention to detail and responsiveness made the process much easier. Her responses were timely and she went out of her way to meet us at the venue. To be honest, I don't know much about flowers and foliage. So I described the colors that I wanted and Mary put everything together and it came out perfectly. I loved her ideas and the final pieces she put together. She exceeded my expectations and we are so happy we chose Mary! I would highly recommended anyone to Mary.

She listened to my vision from the beginning, was so accepting of small changes I wanted to make to really see my vision come to life, and she put the most beautiful and unique touch to the bouquets and floral arrangements. Where do I start? We began working with Mary at The Pink Poppy last year for our wedding and from the first phone call, we knew that we wanted Mary to be our florist. Mary is beyond amazing at her work. She listens carefully and brings her own unique and beautiful ideas. Mary sourced our florals locally and her hard work and dedication ensured that our florals truly represented all that we dreamed of for our wedding day. From the decor on the chuppah, to the bouquets, to the cake and floral touches around the reception hall, Mary went above and beyond. We are so blessed to have found Mary! We were blown away by her floral designs at our wedding. Our guests absolutely LOVED the table displays. Our bouquets had the most beautiful flowers we’ve ever seen and the color combinations were flawless. Mary was an absolute pleasure to work with! During our initial face to face meeting, she was so great and touched on every detail about my dream for our wedding. After sending the intial propsal, she was so open to changes and had such a quick turnaround. The flowers for the wedding were absolutely stunning and she did such a fantastic job with our pergola decor! She put extra work into our day by moving ceremony pieces to the reception, and everything turned out beautiful. Her love for her work shines through her pieces, and we received so many complements on the florals. I would recommend Mary over and over again!

Mary was an incredible addition to our vendor team! She was very responsive and collaborative with her floral arrangement recommendations and she searched through my Pinterest page to gauge my style. We had multiple phone conversations and in-person meetings to discuss our vision and if there was something that I wanted to adjust, she provided a great recommendation that would flow well with the other florals. Mary also reached out to me prior to the wedding to let me know which flowers have not been performing well in the August heat and she gave suggestions for replacements, which still looked stunning! We also had to last minute change our ceremony/reception site, but Mary adapted very easily and arranged our flowers beautifully so you wouldn't be able to tell that we switched locations. Mary is the queen of flexibility! We had originally planned for a elegant wedding in Virginia with minimal floral needs, which then turned into a backyard wedding in southern Maryland (thanks to covid) with numerous floral arrangements. Mary had no problem adjusting to our new location and floral needs. I was surprised and impressed with how thorough she is with her work. During our first phone consultation, it was obvious that Mary loves her job and is passionate about making floral arrangements that compliment every aspect of the wedding. She asked to see pictures of the dress, the groom's attire, and inspiration pictures from my Pinterest board. I was amazed at how she picked up little details of these aspects and created a floral plan to compliment them. For example, I showed her pictures of bridal bouquets I liked and Mary suggested a certain size bouquet to compliment the style of my dress/veil! Her boutonniere recommendations were simple and stunning against my groom's light blue jacket. She took the time to take in all the aspects of our day then she created a document that showed the exact type of flowers/colors she hoped to include in every arrangement. As someone who is not familiar with different flower types, this was a HUGE help to me. Closer to the wedding date, if Mary found out from her provider that certain flowers weren't blooming as well, she would call me and confirm it was ok to shift to a different flower type. I honestly wouldn't have known the difference, but thought it was so thoughtful of her to reach out and confirm with me! Her work is stunning and I was so thankful that she was able to come to our home to set-up our Big Day!

Hi! Mary was an outstanding choice for our wedding! We got married on 09.29.2019 and Mary was more than accommodating. She walked me through every aspect of her part, gave suggestions and really helped me to envision the decor of our wedding even when I had a difficult time describing my thoughts. She was professional, timely, responsive with emails and outlined everything perfectly for us. I could not have asked for a better person and artist to help us with our wedding. She is, just amazing. Mary was wonderful to work with. To be honest, we didn’t want to spend a lot in florals, since our venue (Tranquility Farm) provided so much natural beauty already. Our theme was greenery and ivory/white flowers with a greenhouse vibe. To save some $$ only I and my MOH had bouquets, and my bridesmaids and MIL/grandmothers wore wrist corsages. Mary decorated the cocktail hour space and the aisle with live plants in glass, metal, and terra-cotta pots, which she then repurposed for the dinner tables and reception space. She went above and beyond surprising us with lovely lush vines inside the barn entrance, in addition to the chandelier vines we had paid for.

We LOVED Pink Poppy and would strongly recommend! I shared a few examplesand she quickly understood the design and style we wanted, and she was a pleasure to work with. The flowers were absolutely beautiful! We got many compliments from friends and family.

My daughter reached out to Mary months before her wedding & liked her then very much. We met with her & realized instantly she was talented, a great listener we chose her on the spot to be her florist. All of he floral arrangements were simply beautiful. They were exactly the design that we had asked for. She & her team worked endlessly to make sure every detail was the best it could be. From the first moment of meeting Mary, I knew she was someone I wanted to work with and someone I could trust. She’s warm, honest, empathetic and intuitive. She understood exactly the style I was going for with my wedding and how I wanted it to come together in the flowers. She had wonderful ideas that captured what I wanted when I didn’t know exactly what I wanted! She also was very conscious of working within our budget and helped us have beautiful flowers for our wedding within our means. I also knew that I really wanted flower crowns for myself and my girls, and where other florists I spoke with discouraged me from using fresh flowers like I was hoping for, Mary was excited to do it, and oh my goodness, she did an amazing job!! It was better than I could have hoped for. And, in addition to being a dream to work with in the planning of the wedding, on the day of the wedding, she went above and beyond with delivering the flowers to us as we got our hair done (for the flower crowns!), the church, and the reception venue. At our reception, my husband and I were astounded with how beautiful her work was and how attentive she was in every detail. We were so happy we had her bring our vision to life. Mary & her team at The Pink Poppy beautifully transformed our wedding altar into a magical centerpiece that served as the backdrop for our ceremony...in a silo! Because we picked a very unique space in which to get married, we needed a special person to understand our vision. We quickly decided Mary was the perfect fit after meeting her at the annual Loudoun Wedding Expo. Mary's kind disposition, thoughtful ideas and special talents were invaluable as we navigated the hurdles of planning a small wedding with a BIG aesthetic. She was willing to work with us at every request, one of which was to transfer the altar flowers after the wedding to the tables at the reception - no small feat! Mary is a joy to work with and does the most beautiful work! She went over and above on our wedding day... delivery the bouquet 2 hours before she could set up the room, and coming back to pick up the rental items. Mary did such a wonderful job with the flowers for my bridal shower and especially my wedding day. When my mom was consulting with her, she shared Mary's proposal for what the flowers were going to look like for my big day. I loved her ideas then, but I loved how they looked even more in person! So beautiful! I wish they would last forever. I am still trying to find a way to keep my bouquet. I would love to find another reason to use Mary again in the future!

I knew Mary was the perfect choice when I met her for our first consultation. She really heard what I had to say about my vision and not only understood what I was trying to say, but brought her own creative opinion and artistic ability to the table, taking my vision to the next level. Mary was my favorite vendor at my wedding. She is so sweet and was incredibly helpful whenever I was getting anxious. She is also incredibly professional and organized. She worked with our budget and delivered the most amazing flowers I have ever seen. I wanted something a little different that the typical wedding flowers and she went above and beyond. I have to admit that in the wedding planning process I was least excited about flowers. My knowledge of flowers consists of roses, lilies and hydrangeas. I knew I wanted a bouquet but I needed some professional help because I’m flower-illiterate. Mary was recommended to me through my day-of-coordinator and I started to LOVE flowers while we worked together. She was professional, punctual, affordable and exceeded my expectations. Mary was so easy to work with. We sat down once to talk about flowers and then roughly a year later she delivered them! I loved how seamless the whole process was. If you are a more hands-on bride than I was, Mary would happily exchange emails and phone calls about your vision! We had a couple of those phone calls along the way. I have to add that my hairstylist has been working weddings for over a decade and she said my bridal bouquet was the most amazing one she has ever seen! If I could rate Mary higher than a 5 star I would. She took my vague direction and made every arrangement into a masterpiece. She also worked with us in our budget offering multiple options with different price points for us to choose from. On the wedding day, she brought up my bouquet for me to see and I was completely blown away... it was exactly what I had pictured and more... I'm still in awe by how she got what I wanted the flowers to look like perfectly just be asking a few questions. In addition to her beautiful flowers, Mary did WAY more than I expected. First, after our wedding cake was delivered with holes and slightly melted, she took flowers and arranged them on the cake in such a way that if our coordinator hadn't told us what happened we would never had known. Second, after our ceremony site was completely finished in decoration a storm approached causing us to have to move ceremony sites and she was there helping make sure all the flower decorations were moved and looked perfect even though she could have easily left when she was finished setting up the first site. There is no question in my mind who I would use if I ever needed any sort of flower arrangements again.

Mary at the Pink Poppy blew us away! The professionalism, stylistic design and quality of the flowers were all superb. She is a joy to be around and overdelivered! I wish we could have our flowers last for a lifetime they were incredible. She also created a lattice of greens and purples to mimic wisteria over the head table that was absolutely breath taking! Mary is an artist, a creator and a visionary. She listens to what you have in mind, and then creates masterpieces that are more stunning than you could have possibly imagined! My husband and I did a re-wedding photo shoot for our 10 year wedding anniversary that was a Vintage/Bohemian theme. All I can say is WOW did Mary deliver - her designs looked as though the most beautiful wild flowers were picked from a field and elegantly arranged. She even included succulents, which are one of my favorites and, because I enjoy cooking, a small purple artichoke! Even our photographer was asking for her information to refer her to their clients as they stated, "these are the most beautiful flowers we've seen". If you are looking for flowers that are as unique and individual as you, then Mary is definitely your floral designer!

Mary is such a talented floral designer, and we couldn't have been more pleased by her work for our wedding. Showing a great eye for detail, she did a wonderful job of complimenting the creative elements of our wedding venue with her beautiful floral designs. I am still in awe of the services provided by this company. I worked with Mary and she was fantastic. In our earlier conversations during the planning, she listened to what I wanted, looking over my pictorial "wish list." Taking into consideration the color scheme, she provided many designs for the various floral components. She would share the designs, informing me of the various flowers. She even factored in the smells of them. After our first look, I knew it was all going to be beautiful! I will say that on the day of my wedding, I was blown away! My guest commented about the arrangements, wanting to take them home. My bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were so beautiful. There were so many details, that even on the next day, I was impressed. I never got a chance to look at the mother corsages until the next day. I was amazed at the detail. Pearls and bling! They were gorgeous. Even days after, it's been surreal to see the pictures floating around on social media. Her floral arrangements have been posted and shared! Between the service of The Pink Poppy and my other vendors, I even have seen the comments of the wedding being like one of those "David Tutera" ones. I'm extremely happy!
