Debra the wedding coordinator at The Plantation House did an excellent job with everything for our reception. She has professional and responsive with every communication. I couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out. She was our point person with everything we needed in Hawaii.
Unforgettable !!! Beautiful grounds, delicious food and an amazing team. Debra is the sweetest and the calmest wedding planner ever. She took care of everything impeccably...taking care of details that we didn’t even anticipated. We had a wonderful and memorable time. Thank you so much for making our wedding so special. 5 stars
We had our cocktail hour/reception at the Plantation House in Kapalua in June, and I couldn't have been happier. The location was stunning, food was delicious, and the coordination by Elaine was incredible. We did a full buyout of the restaurant with a cocktail hour on the lawn for 80 guests, and I can't say enough how beautiful it was at sunset.
Since our ceremony was at a different location, the wedding day timeline was a little complex. Elaine worked with me on many, many occasions to make sure the flow of the day went well and that it was well planned so that we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day. Since we were coming from Philadelphia, Elaine was also wonderful about helping me ship items straight there so that I would have less to bring on the plane, which was a HUGE help. Elaine also helped coordinate catering appetizers for a welcome reception we were doing with our guests which received many compliments as well.
Leading up to the wedding, I was fully confident that the day was going to go smoothly, and that's exactly what happened. I'm not sure if there were any issues behind the scenes but they did not hit my radar, so that's all I can ask for as a bride! Elaine and our DJ partnered to make sure the night flowed nicely, and it truly was a magical evening. I would recommend the Plantation House and Elaine 100% for your wedding day!
Planning a destination wedding can be very stressful. Elaine Kerr, Event Cordinator for The Plantation House, made it such a pleasant and seamless process. Elaine is such a doll to work with. All vendors she referred to me were professional, responsive, and did a fantastic job! The venue itself is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Our reception was in The Grille Room which worked perfectly for our group of 22 and the food was delicious! I felt what we paid compared with quality of services, facility, and food was right on target. It was raining intermittenly the day of our wedding and Elaine had everything completely under control with a back up plan if it was a washout. However, as luck would have it, it did not rain during our ceremony. We wanted to capture the sunset for our pictures and Elaine planned everything to coordinate the timing and our pictures were fabulous. I highly recommend The Plantation House for a beautiful Maui Wedding and we plan to return in future for our anniversary.
We held a destination wedding on Maui, Hawaii in January and the service we received from The Plantation House Restaurant was beyond exceptional! We worked with coordinator, Elaine, who was fabulous and most importantly was flexible as we planned our reception from afar.
We met with Elaine the day before the wedding to deliver some miscellaneous items and she was so accommodating and organized. This allowed us to take a deep breath and be reassured that our event was going to be great! She gave us a synopsis of how the dinner would go (we only had a simple reception with 20 family members and friends) and even stepping up as a partial wedding coordinator for us! Unfortunately, we encountered some bad weather that week and she was more than happy to move our ceremony to the restaurant if necessary...even with last minute notice since we wanted to hold off as long as we could to gauge the weather.
In coordinating the reception, Elaine provided us with vendors for linens, cake and flowers/decorations. These vendors were wonderful and everything turned out better than I could have imagined.
Fast forward to the ceremony and reception! Our wedding coordinator was in touch with Elaine just after the ceremony ended so the restaurant would know when to expect their initial guests. All of the guests told me that Elaine was fantastic and welcomed all of our guests with a warm heart. She made sure guests were taken care of with regards to appetizers and cocktails (our guests said the service was exquisite).
We finally arrived and she met us at the door, gave us a briefing of the the evening and showed us our reception area before guests sat. Elaine then had guests sit and introduced us as a married couple. From there the restaurant staff provided us with the best services I could have ever asked for! Drinks were all full, everything arrived timely, presentation was superb and the food was phenomenal (per all of the guests). There was not one thing I would have done differently or changed!
Thank you to all of the staff at The Plantation House Restaurant for making this day one of the most memorable and beautiful days! Additionally, thank you to Elaine for your exceptional spirit, flexibility, accommodating nature and advice; you were amazing to work with.
I recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to plan a destination wedding or for a nice, intimate reception. The restaurant views are gorgeous and breathtaking. Prior to booking this venue, I read several bad reviews for the service, food and staff. I can honestly say that I had a great experience and I do not have complaints! Although we did not have our ceremony at the restaurant because we wanted to be on a beach, the restaurant would have served as a great ceremony location.
Thank you so much to everyone!

What did I know about Hawaii, NOTHING!! What I wanted was a Hawaiian flair wedding, with great food! That is exactly what I got! The photographer, meew meew studios that Elaine suggested was out of this world! We went with Hawaiian fire dancers and luau at the end and as a surprise to the guests and everyone loved it! Soo much talent! The cake, the meal, you really could never do this better than at this place!! You will not go wrong with the plantation house! STOP LOOKING! You have found the best wedding for yourself ever!
My mother-in-law chose the Plantion House for our Rehearsal Dinner. It was perfect. From the amazing views of the sunset, flower arrangements on the tables, personalized menu's, the food, the service... it was all spectacular!
The plantation house was a beautiful venue but the service and quality of my wedding was terrible. The event planner Elaine was very unprofessional and rude to myself and my guests. The wedding party as well as various guests commented that she approached them and made inappropriate comments during the wedding. Details that we talked about during planning were often forgotten and I had to reiterate details through resent emails and phone calls. We spend an additional amount to have Elaine coordinate our wedding and it was a waste of money. she did not help with vendors, planning or save us time or stress. The coordinator dressed in a t-shirt and leggings for the wedding and she was in the background of a lot of our pics. Details we agreed on a couple of times ended up not being there for the wedding day. I had to find and work with all of my vendors on my own even thought all of the billing and payments went through the plantation house. Food that we picked out for our tasting wasn't even served at the wedding?!? and we had to pay for the tasting? and then it was a waste of time and money because what we picked out wasn't even served. The room promised and payed for to get ready the day in was not reserved as told to us and we did not get our money back. The steak that was served was over cooked and the dessert bar we picked was not the desserts we agreed on. Overall I married the man of my dreams but did not get my dream wedding due to the terrible experience I had with the plantation house and Elaine. Do not get married here.
The Plantation House is the perfect place for a Hawaii wedding. The site is beautiful and the staff are not only incredibly helpful, but also very inviting. Elaine was our coordinator and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She made sure our wedding was everything we had always dreamed of. We consider her a part of the family now. :)
The food is great, the facility is gorgeous, and the entire atmosphere is magical. We can't say enough wonderful things about the PH, and we can't wait to go back!
We had our wedding here in May. First of all, this venue uses the beauty of the island, which is exactly what we were looking for. The Kapalua coast is an amazing background for a ceremony and reception. The grounds looked stunning. The restaurant is elegant and has windows all around so that you can see the coast while eating dinner. Elaine was the best wedding planner. The wedding went off without a hitch thanks to her. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It was affordable and honestly not as expensive as you expect a wedding in Hawaii to be. We loved our venue!
The food, location, vendors used, people - all absoultely FABULOUS!! The day of the wedding is where they lacked attention. There was another wedding going on and we felt a little lost. The flow of the schedule was great on rehearsal day, but was not executed as planned.
