This was a nightmare. Starting 3 months before our stay they started stressing me out by changing what we were allowed to do. I understand policy changes but contracts that existed before should be grandfathered. Then the week of my wedding they came to me with more problems and only solution offered was to cancel my whole room block the week of my wedding. I cried a lot over this vendor to say the least. Day of check in, our rooms were not ready so the front desk man gave me another room to get ready in (came in from out of state and needed to get ready for rehearsal). That was great. I had tea and that was amazing and the service was lovely. Then day of my wedding, they kicked my now husband out of his suite at noon (where we planned to do our first look) even though our contract clearly stated we had a late checkout of 3pm. Then they did not do a turn down service - room switching the night of my wedding so hubby and I would have a privet room and when we got in they did not change the sheets or make the bed from the night before even though it was requested and again reiterated at check in that this would need to be done and we watched him note it again. We also did not get an “amenity” (in my written contract that we would) the night of my wedding either. I ended up giving that room back to who slept there the night before and the groom and I slept in the suite with my parents, and some others from my wedding party. It was a nightmare as soon as they got my downpayment they came to me with problems. Now over a month after we stayed there I got a 1500$ charge on my credit card (not used for incidentals only the down and final payments of the rooms) and they can’t even tell me why they are charging me but won’t remove it either. HEADACHES BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER our stay there for my wedding. All brides heed my warning, DO NOT STAY HERE THE NIGHT OF YOUR WEDDING. Also you are no longer allowed to take photos in their public spaces including the beautiful staircases everywhere which was specifically why we chose the plaza. We had security called as we walked down the stair case on our way to the trolley waiting outside. No joke, we were even standing posed just walked down the staircase and security was called. I had expected the hotel to be one vendor I didn’t have trouble with and they turned out to be by far the worst part of my whole wedding weekend.
Only giving 2 stars because the people not involved with the contracts were polite and courteous. They don’t deserve the same review as the people who are in charge of room blocks.
Thank you for all your do for our wedding! The team was great, and was such an iconic place for the special day! it's just more than words can describe.
My wedding was all I dreamed of and the staff and personal assistant was very helpful in every way possible
Amazing venue and beautiful throughout the event. The staff is top notch and bends over backwards to accommodate your every need. It made for a wonderful experience we won't soon forget.
You can't go wrong here at such an incredibly gorgeous venue. Unfortunately the service wasn't always as expected but overall it was an amazing site and an incredible experience.
