We recently used Kim for a small wedding in May and we were soooooooo happy with our beautiful floral. Kim is creative, listens and works with you toward your vision, and is just o...
verall an incredibly thoughtful and kind person.
The Pollen Mill came recommended to us after our original florist moved out of state and could no longer do our rehearsal dinner. We hit it off with Kim on our first call. She kn...
ew our original florist and worked directly with her to transfer over our deposit. We shared some photos of our wedding day florals and explained the direction that we wanted to go in for the rehearsal dinner. We wanted it to build to our wedding day and lead into our color palette. Kim totally got what we were going for and designed florals that were so beautiful and provided fun pops of color. We had a variety of centerpieces, satellite arrangements and place setting accents. Kim utilizes sustainable practices at The Pollen Mill which we loved learning about. Additionally, we were able to utilize the same florals at our farewell brunch on Sunday and they looked just as good as they did on Friday. Many guests took them home and continued to enjoy them for the following week. Due to COVID, we know it has been a tough time sourcing florals, which makes what Kim produced that much more impressive. It was a pleasure working with Kim and we highly recommend her for your next event.
Where to start! Kim was amazingly helpful from start to finish; right off we gave her a list of what we thought we'd need, and she gave us back an extremely organized and detailed...
quote. This was extremely helpful in making choices and prioritizing what we want, as everything was laid out as single line items. We had as many design meetings as we needed to, and she was so patient with us (including when we changed our minds or second guessed ourselves) and provided helpful advice the whole time.
On the day of the event, everything was handled smoothly by Kim and her team, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We had a small wedding party, but they made several boutonnieres for our closets friends, and they were all different but related to each other. As for the centerpieces; people still have told me almost a year later how beautiful they were. Colorful, textural, fun - really everything we asked for. We had ten tables so did a variety of things; some tables had garlands, wreaths, lots of color all around. It really did turn out beautifully.
As someone in a (different) design field, I know it can be rare to find someone who is both creative AND organized and professional, but The Pollen Mill definitely was all of those things. We would recommend The Pollen Mill because their service and final product was beyond our expectations.
I was extremely disappointed by the Pollen Mill. In fact, they are the only vendor from our wedding who we aren’t giving a 5 star rating and a glowing review. We could have picked ...
up the same flowers from a grocery store. We had a small wedding, with only 8 tables and only 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. We paid over $4,000, which is insane to begin with. And seemed even more insane when our event coordinator forwarded an email Kim (Pollen Mill owner) sent to her that said Kim would not even be attending the wedding for set-up. Instead, she sent someone in training, by herself (if they aren’t even listed on your website, don’t pretend they are qualified). The person she sent was also extremely rude to my husband while he was setting up the arch.
Now, onto the flowers. I asked for 3 things: evergreen sprigs, white roses, and lavender. There was no lavender anywhere, which it is still in season by the way. Instead she stuck horribly ugly pink roses all over the place. Lavender should have been extremely easy to find. Kim just didn’t care what we wanted. She ignored emails and was extremely unprofessional throughout the process.
So if you have LOTS of cash to blow and don’t care at all about what your flowers look like, I guess this might be a good option for you. If not, find someone else.
Kim's incredible work was an absolute highlight of our wedding! In addition to her STUNNING, intricate and extensive work on our wedding arch, table centerpieces, bridal party flow...
ers & venue decor, Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was prompt in replying, flexible, detail-oriented and genuinely invested in the specialness of our day. After spending months and months planning our dream outdoor ceremony, the weather reports predicted a 90% chance of thunderstorms and lightning the night before. Kim's patience, kindness, and commitment to doing the most and best she could in this situation is what made our wedding complete-- she remained on standby for set-up to wait out a probable storm and when it never came to fruition, she worked her heart out to assemble THE most beautiful and breathtaking arch, outdoors, as we had hope and prayed we would be able to do. She went above and beyond, staying on-site all day and all night and made the details of the wedding just perfect. Cannot recommend a vendor or person more than Kim and The Pollen Mill!
Kim was amazing.
I worked with The Pollen Mill for my wedding bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and boutonnieres.
She was professional, prompt, and honest.
I'm a simple girl with...
pretty streamlined taste, and Kim was able to make that happen. She can design just about anything - that's clear from her portfolio - but the most important part about her and her team is that they listen.
So many vendors are lovely and do great work, but it is rare to find a professional that is as gifted in the art of listening. She was able to pay close attention to what I asked for, and then translated that design to perfection. The level of detail in her work, both the finished product and on the administrative side, would alone warrant a five star review.
On top of clarity, professionalism and talent, Kim is a genuinely nice person. I was really hoping for orchids in my bouquet, but there was a statewide shortage! Kim went above and beyond to find them - including calling vendors in Southern California. We didn't end up going with the orchids, but I really appreciate all of the effort she put in to find them. My bouquet was drop-dead gorgeous anyway.
If you're looking for someone who loves what they do and is a pleasure do business with, choose The Pollen Mill!

aphs. We found Kim via her blog (http://www.thepollenmill.com/blog/) and were so impressed by her designs, that we knew we wanted to have her design our wedding. We had a phone consultation where we requested a freshly picked from the garden, whimsical, yet structured look and got exactly that! Kim was very responsive and had great communication. We enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend her to any bride or person needing flowers! Thank you Kim and team!

m was a breeze to work with. I sent her pictures of my bridesmaid's dresses (which were all different colors/patterns) along with the vision we were going for and she designed floral arrangements and bouquets that tied everything together PERFECTLY! I highly recommend you hire her, you'll be blown away by the beauty of what she can design!

e bouquet using the colors of my wedding and the bouquets looked amazing. Kim was flexible with changes and quick to respond back to any questions and with any updated invoices after requesting changes. I wanted special boutonnieres made with shotgun shells and she did an amazing job with them as well as the flower crowns I wanted. Everything came out perfectly and was packaged easily for me to pick up and transport to my house as well as the venue.
We were looking at The Pollen Mill and another equally priced florist here in Sacramento for our wedding. The reason we went with The Pollen Mill is because of Kim's attention to d...
etail from the very beginning. She called me to get all of the specifics and vision I was hoping for, down to the color of the ribbon on the boutonnieres, so she could get us as accurate of a quote possible. It was amazing. Throughout the planning process, she was always quick to answer my million questions and accommodate any changes I threw her way. The day of, I cried when she brought in all of the bouquets because they were all so GORGEOUS and beyond anything I could have imagined. I wanted to stray from the pale flowers/greenery trend and go with bright colors and boy did she deliver! All of the table arrangements and bouquets included all sorts of textures and a variety of flowers and we are still receiving compliments on them. Can't recommend Kim and The Pollen Mill enough.
You can honestly leave it up to Kim and her team to create a beautiful floral design for your wedding. Kim was really good at figuring out what it was you wanted and bringing it t...
o life.
She was very good a communicating via email and phone, she was great at updating the invoice so there were no surprises, she actually utilized your Pinterest board when creating your floral design, she listened to you, and she was able to accommodate last minute changes, like adjusting the length of the garland for my wedding arch.
If you happen to have your wedding at the Inn at Park Winters, Kim has worked there many times and she will, without a doubt, create flowers that will incorporate beautifully with the amazing venue backdrop.

g planner area and she swooped in like wonder woman and helped to find me a replacement last minute. I really don't know how I could have done it without her. My flowers were to die for. Every last detail was perfection from the ceremony to my dream of mirrored tables and then into the wine cave! I have so much gratitude for her and her charming husband!!
Kim did an absolutely fantastic job with our wedding flowers. I wasn't entirely sure what esthetic or theme I wanted for the wedding when I first talked to Kim but I showed her my ...
Pinterest board and she helped me to narrow it down. Overall Kim captured my vision better than I could have ever imagined.
She was very professional and responsive throughout the entire planning process. We changed our minds a lot with what pieces we wanted (added an arch and swag for the sweetheart table last minute) but Kim didn't seem to mind.
I would hands down recommend Kim to do your flowers for any event or special occasion-she will not disappoint!
Kim was easily reachable the entire planning process. She responded very quickly and was full of knowledge and advice. The flowers were absolutely incredible. I've never seen such ...
an amazing mix of flowers in a bouquet. Everything was so fresh and she tied them so perfectly. The boutonnieres stood the test of movement and heat and still looked good. She also provided garlands of leaves for mantels and on staircases and they really made the ceremony and reception sights looks so much prettier and softer. I cannot say enough about her professionalism and high quality of choosing flowers and reassurance by bringing the flowers early enough so we didn't even have to think about it.
Kim is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is so passionate about what she does and if you look at examples of her work, it definitely shows! When we first spoke on the phone, I immediately ...
had a great impression. We spent an hour discussing what my vision was for flowers and details about the wedding. I received so many compliments on our bouquets at the wedding and still continue to receive compliments from the wedding photos. Kim even incorporated flowers in our bouquets/boutonnieres/corsages that were grown right on our venue site, how cool is that!? She exceeded my expectations and I am SO happy we had the honor of working with her!
If you are looking for a florist, I guarantee you will be so happy if you choose The Pollen Mill!
Thank you Kim! You're AWESOME!

ngs on my mind.
She made me: a (gorgeous) flower crown, my bouquet along with all of my bridesmaids', and the boutonnieres for the men. The day of, she delivered them to me personally in vases and checked in with me before leaving so that I knew everything was taken care of.
For my bouquet, I wanted something that was whimsical, cascading, and not too traditional, and she definitely delivered. It was so beautiful and my flower crown literally brought everything together and made my whole look complete. I couldn't have been happier with her work. I highly recommend hiring The Pollen Mill for your event - you'll be glad you did!
