This is the perfect venue for a classic Kentucky wedding! The entire indoor/outdoor space is well-kept and absolutely stunning, and Rosie and Broussard were the most wonderful, kind hosts. I cannot imagine hosting my wedding anywhere else!

My husband and I were finally able to have our wedding at the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm on October 2 after two postponements. First, the venue’s owners, Rosie and Broussard Hundley, are thoughtful and proud owners, and their dedication to making it the best experience for their guest is apparent. When it became clear in March 2020 that we would be unable to have our wedding on our original date of April 25, 2020, we reached out to them to ask about postponement options. They could not have been more accommodating and understanding in allowing us to reschedule to a highly desirable date, despite the fact that doing so came at their expense financially. We’ve heard horror stories from other couples with respect to postponements, whether being offered only highly undesirable dates and/or having to pay a significant premium. Rosie and Broussard had no contractual obligation at the time to allow us to postpone for free, or at all, but exhibited utmost compassion and grace during a stressful and upsetting time for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
In addition to just being good people, they’re professionals. Throughout our 2.5 year relationship with Rosie and Broussard, they were consistently punctual in responding to our many questions and concerns, making our and our wonderful planner’s (Angela Sallee) lives substantially easier, which in light of the circumstances was much appreciated. As the big day finally approached, they walked us through how the weekend would go (for a third time) and helped put our minds at ease, such as explaining the COVID precautions that they are taking to keep guests safe and what they would do to make the wedding go as smoothly as possible in the event of inclement weather (which fortunately was not an issue, as we had perfect weather the whole weekend).
The venue itself is a truly stunning property, both on the farm, where we had our welcome party and ceremony, and in the barn, where we had our reception. The grounds are immaculate and as a working farm, you get to experience what makes Kentucky truly special – the horses. My wife is originally from Lexington and I’m from New York. We wanted to give our many out of town guests a uniquely Kentucky experience, and the Polo Barn fit the bill perfectly. Our guests were blown away when they got off of the busses at the farm and when they walked into the barn itself for the reception. We had to have received 100 compliments over the course of the weekend on our choice of venue.
A big part of the reason that we chose the Polo Barn was that you have access to the venue for the entire weekend. Rather than having to plan our welcome party elsewhere, we were able to host it on the farm just outside of the barn. We wanted to avoid having the welcome party feel like a second wedding, and the venue was highly conducive to achieving this goal. It’s also inclusive of a “cottage” (which is more spacious than the name may indicate) for the bridal party to get ready in. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated with personal touches from the farms history. It includes a mancave for the guys, which my husband loved (and now wants one for our house!). The cottage is a fun place to hang out and calm some nerves before guests arrive.
Overall, we couldn’t recommend the Polo Barn more. A+ experience despite the circumstances.

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about the venue, Rosie, and B !! From the first visit I fell in love and could not wait to get married at this horse farm. My family and I had the most meaningful time staying on site at the Dew Drop Inn and truly making this wedding an experience instead of just one day . The entire farm is in immaculate shape and waking up to horses outside every morning was a girl's dream come true. If you want the ultimate Kentucky Wedding experience - you must visit and book here !

This. Place. Is. EVERYTHING. We booked Polo Barn for our wedding weekend and couldn’t possibly be happier that we did. Rosie and Broussard were an absolute pleasure to work with and are constantly making improvements to what is already a stunning venue. Because we were able to book the venue for the entire weekend we didn’t have to give extra thought to a space for the rehearsal dinner or where the bridal party should be getting ready. The adorable and convenient cottage provided ample space for my bridesmaids and I to have hair and makeup done and for my husband and his groomsmen to spend time together and get dressed. Because I’m a bit of a control freak the extra perk was that I was there on sight all day to oversee the set-up and arrival of the vendors. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location or team to work with.

We had our wedding here a month ago, and I am still getting comments from family and friends on how stunning the venue was. It has everything you'd want from a classic Kentucky wedding venue: rolling hills of emerald green pasture, friendly mares who came up to the fence to greet us, tree-lined drives and fences, and a gorgeous, spacious barn that is half pavilion and half stalls--perfect for an event setup that is both versatile and site-specific. The space was so flexible and unique, especially with the rental timing that allows for the opportunity to hold multiple events and really make the space your own. With options to hold events in the large barn, on the patio, or in grassy lawns, the hardest part of the rental was picking which of the beautiful spaces we wanted to use for which parts of our weekend!
I keep going back and forth on which was better, the exceptional space or the above-and-beyond level of service and warmth from the owners. Rosie and Broussard became essential parts of our wedding team and just made us feel beyond welcome in their space. They were always on call to answer questions during the lead-up to our wedding and let us come by as often as we wanted to walk the space, work out details, and show visiting friends and family, and they offered un-asked-for, unexpected, and much-needed assistance with a variety of setup projects on the weekend. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and work with us throughout.
It's worth mentioning, too, that my husband and I still marvel at the value of this space. We were looking at venues that cost more for a quarter of the time we spent at the farm, and which didn't include nearly the level of amenities or service that we found there. We kept having dreams about having our wedding in different places in the lead-up, and we woke up from those dreams grateful that we got to have our wedding at the Polo Barn instead. It was literally better than we dreamed of!
There's plenty of horse farms around Lexington, but only one Polo Barn! Wish we could give it fifty stars!

Rosie was so wonderful to work with! She and her husband made everything go smoothly and answered all of our questions. They met with us each and every time we needed to. Being able to have all weekend to set up and prepare allowed us to enjoy more and stress less. Rosie knew exactly what worked and what didn't, and helped us plan things we hadn't even thought of! I cannot say enough great things about her. The farm was absolutely beautiful for a late summer wedding. We had about 250 people for the ceremony and lined all the chairs in the grass with ease. The barn was being expanded at the time, but we used it for cocktail hour and strung lights through it. This venue was perfect for the outdoor wedding I wanted. If for nothing else, I would go visit this venue just to see a beautiful Kentucky horse farm!

Working with Rosie and Broussard to hold our wedding at the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm was truly a dream come true! They go above and beyond to help you bring your visualization to life and Rosie is incredibly responsive throughout the planning process for all of those brides (like myself) with a million questions.
The venue itself is just beautiful! You can't find a location that is truly more "Kentucky" than at Saxony Farm. The Bridal Cottage and Man Cave were perfect accommodations for our wedding party and, as an anxious bride, it was great being able to see the venue come to life throughout the day.
I can't say enough great things about Rosie, Broussard and the rest of the staff at the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm!

Beautiful place to hold a wedding. Rosie was very easy to work with and accommodating with all of our needs. Everything went perfect on our wedding day and the venue has continued to get even more beautiful. Thank you so much for making our day so special! Our guests were all from out of town and completely understood why I had my wedding in Kentucky. The venue was a destination spot in its own and our guests were amazed to see the property, not to mention the drive there is gorgeous. Thank you for everything!!!

We had a beautiful experience holding our wedding at The Polo Barn at Saxony Farm! The Hundley family was a joy to work with and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them during this process. Being allowed access to the venue from Thursday until Monday made us at ease during those final days of preparation; it also helped us with hosting other important wedding gatherings such as the rehearsal dinner and gift opening. Having that location to use for such things made travel plans much easier for our wedding party and guests.
I wouldn't change anything about how our day went; the farm's scenery is gorgeous and truly shows the beauty of southern charm in Kentucky. We would highly recommend The Polo Barn at Saxony Farm to anyone searching for the perfect wedding venue!

WOW! What an amazing venue! I have worked some great venues over the years, but Saxony Farm goes to the top of my list. Rosie and her husband have developed a property with all the special touches. It was a true pleasure to be able to work with owners that pay such close attention to every single detail. They are so welcoming and gracious and have opened their home and hearts to their couples as well as the vendors. It was an honor and privilege to have met Rosie! A Thorough Fare cannot wait until the next time we can come to the Lexington area and Polo Barn at Saxony Farm! - ATF

Every guest we have spoken to has had the same comment; this was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to. We couldn't agree more. The farm is incredible and Rosie and Broussard are nothing short of a dream to work with. From making sure the farm was immaculate for our big day to being available for every small and trivial question a bride could have to recommending our wedding planner Shelly Fortune, they were remarkable. We couldn't be happier and more in love with the way our wedding turned out. Do not hesitate to book this venue!

The Hundley's who own the farm are incredible to work with. From the very beginning to even weeks after my wedding, they were there to help with every detail. The overall layout was pristine, spotless and remarkable. The picturesque setting included rolling fields with thoroughbreds, old large polo barn, blacktopped area for tents, hidden area for portable restrooms, beautiful walking paths, parking area, up-to-date cottage for both parties to get ready in as well as full kitchen for catering. The sun sets in just the right spot with plenty of shade if needed for the warmer months that you couldn't ask for better wedding pictures. Since my wedding, they have landscaped even more and the venue continues to be and look better than any other place in KY. There is so much to work with in "designing" the venue to fit your particular taste and your wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for not just an outside wedding, as you can close the tents up or even use the inside of the gorgeous barn, but anyone looking for the most memorable wedding spot! My pictures are incredible because of this background of this venue!

As a professional photographer I am really impressed with Polo Barn at Saxony Farm. I photographed a bride who chose this farm to host her wedding. From the barn to the guest house, you will find this venue to be very personal and friendly. Choosing an outdoor venue to host your outdoor wedding, you will want to think about the comfort of your guest. At Polo Barn at Saxony Farm, there are groves of mature trees which offers a canopy of shade. While I was working, I found myself feeling comfortable because of the canopy of the trees and the light breeze blowing through. As a photographer I serve an important role at the event. For me, light is everything in capturing great photographs for the bride. I found many areas at the venue that offered diffused light and helped capture great natural moments. I would highly recommend investigating Polo Barn at Saxony. You will find the owners of the venue to be caring and very personable . - Adam Brennan, Photographer at www.picturesbyab.com
