The first time Nino and I met Phil was at my brother and sister in-laws wedding, we loved his style and the way he worked with my family. When it came time for our wedding four years later I immediately thought of Phil. After submitting our inquiry Phil quickly reached out, from that point forward I knew we made the right decision. Phil was there every step of the way and no detail was left unturned. Planning a wedding is extremely stressful, especially during a pandemic but having Phil by our side was a blessing. Phil made us feel comfortable, confident and supported. Phil Porto was absolutely incredible for our wedding day!! We had to find a photographer last minute, after issues with the original photographer we booked with, and he was so accommodating and willing to help us out on such short notice! He consulted with us, and was so kind and helped bring the vision of our wedding day to life! He was incredibly professional during the entire day, and had a planned out schedule to make sure we received all the photos we desired. Finding the right photographer to capture our wedding and reception was probably the most important decision my wife and I were concerned with, and we definitely got it right. We chose to go with Phil, and he was awesome right from the start. The experience started off with a free video consultation to get to know one another and we knew right away that he was the guy. His communication was personable, timely, and consistent, and each time we connected with him - call, text, or in-person - it was always positive and fun. The Portos style is definitive, and Phil delivered on all fronts for every event - from the engagement shoot, to the ceremony and reception. One of the biggest reason we chose to go with Phil/The Portos was because of all the awesome party shots we saw on their platforms. We're so thrilled we chose The Portos for our wedding! From the moment I saw their website, I knew that their style was exactly what I wanted and envisioned for our big day. And Brandon delivered 100%. The photos are absolutely stunning, just gorgeous, truly! He is so talented. And also, he was amazing to work with. He had incredible ideas of where to take us around Central Park, and he was a joy, through and through. OMG is all I have to say. I booked the Porto's after seeing their stunning reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire. I really digged their vibe and loved that everything looked super natural. We decided to go with Jenn as our photographer for our big day and she did not disappoint in the slightest! I couldn't have asked for a more kind and passionate person to capture our special day. When I met her the morning of my wedding, it felt as if we had already known each other for years and we were best friends. She never made anyone feel awkward or uncomfortable and made the entire photo process fun and easy. Forget about all those corny wedding photos you see at every wedding, because the Porto's do the complete opposite. They make you look and feel so cool. 10/10 recommend!!!!

We loved our photos and experience with Phil. We are disappointed with our experience with the Portos. Phil was difficult to work with from the start. In response to our questions, he was often defensive and would tell us to just trust him. We preferred communicating with Angela, who was our photographer. Unfortunately, most of the questions we asked her could only be answered by Phil. On the day of, there were many things that we were not prepared for because neither Phil or Angela had clearly and effectively communicated with us. We were taken out of the moment several times for posed photos during both our ceremony and reception. I’m sure the Portos has done this at other weddings and couples have been happy with it. We just wish they had told us that they were planning to stop us for a kiss as we walked down the isle, and we would have asked them not to. We don’t blame Angela for any of the issues we had. She did a lovely job on the day of our wedding, all things considered. We are happy with how our photos turned out, but wish we could have been treated better.

Working with Phil from The Portos has been a wonderful experience! Phil made it easy to take great pictures. He delivered our wedding photos so quickly and we cannot stop looking at them! I fell in love with Phil's work long before we were even engaged. He and his team created the kind of photos that gave me chills. Phil had online rapport with me through IG, so as soon as we got engaged, it was already a done deal. Truthfully, I couldn't be happier we made that decision. Phil was incredible to work with, and constantly inspiring us to just be ourselves in front of the camera. Our engagement shoot went perfectly, and I thought those photos were to die for.... but then I got the sneak peek from the wedding. I am looking at 3 photos that bring me both limitless joy and instantly bring me back to the best day I've ever had. I am looking at 3 photos that, had I seen them while planning, would have on my own pinterest board as goalz. I am looking at 3 photos, wondering how the rest of them are going to compare, but knowing I'm sure to be blown away without fail. When you're planning a wedding, there's so many photographers out there... but not all of them are photo magicians who will create the kind of art you'll cherish forever. Phil Porto is the photo magician you want, and if you book anyone else, you're doing it WRONG.

Phil was great! We were already nervous enough about it being our wedding day, but Phil did a great job making us feel comfortable and relaxed. I don't know what or how he did it, but the time we were with him he really took our mind off the big day. The pictures were great. The pictures really captured how we felt at the moment he took them. We're still trying to figure out how he captured some of the pictures of us laughing right after we said I do. If you are looking for a great photographer, look no further than The Portos.

Working with Phil was great. We had such a long day planned, and he was very professional and arrived earlier than contracted to capture all of the details if the day. We told him that it was really important for us to remain on time and he really moved things along so that this could be accomplished. He was also very efficient and we were able to enjoy our cocktail hour, which was a plus. We were concerned about finding space around the area to take bridal party photos, and he was great about sending us a list of recommendations. Ultimately, we did not have a chance to go to all of the places that we discussed. However, Phil was awesome about improvising and our pictures turned out perfect. Additionally, he delivered our photos well ahead of our contracted date and there were so many! Our photos are gorgeous, and we would definitely recommend him. Thanks Phil!

Hire The Portos immediately!! It was really important for us to find a photographer that would make us comfortable, and really capture all the great candid happy moments without feeling corny. When we first talked to Phil on the phone, we knew this was the right company for us! They really love what they do, and made us feel so excited to partner with them on our big day! John was so amazing - we had so much fun with all the photos, everything felt super natural and not forced. And of course, the important bit - the end photos are BEAUTIFUL!! Everyone has commented on how amazing they are, we couldn't be happier!

Even if you’re planning/hoping for a low-key wedding, the process can be unexpectedly taxing. But by far the easiest decision (besides saying “yes”!) was working with Phil. I say work because “hire” sounds so impersonal and aloof, and Phil is anything but. After establishing a connection with us, he went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. From beginning to end, his responsiveness, genuine enthusiasm and joy, and candor were a much-needed respite from planning-related stresses, and even general life stresses: working with someone who sincerely loves what they do, and has such an authentic presence, is unbelievably refreshing and heartening. Oh, Phil’s also an incredible photographer. We’ve legit had multiple people tell us that our photos are the best they’ve ever seen. I knew we would love them, but I can’t even describe how expressive and impactful his images are. Thanks to them (and him), we’re able to look back and remember all of the day’s fleeting moment—it’s like having a ridiculously stunning timeline at our fingertips. We literally couldn’t be happier with the photos, or our experience with Phil and The Portos, and you’ll feel the same way after working with him. (I would almost be willing to bet my dogs on it, but that sounds terrible. But really.)

There are no words strong enough to sum up the feelings and emotions of our wedding day, but The Portos captured it. Brandon traveled to Tennessee and captured every single detail and moment flawlessly and felt like a part of our family and friends. Phil was the easiest to work and communicate with, to coordinate, and for perfectly edited the beauty Brandon captured. I sobbed my eyes out while we went through our gallery because, after dreaming for 24 years how every detail of this day would be, it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined and The Portos are to be given all the credit for capturing the smallest details. As someone who cares a lot about photography, but also hates nearly every image of myself, picking who would capture my wedding was a crucial decision. And I can safely say that I CRUSHED IT by hiring The Portos (Phil). I could not be happier with our photos (which, by the way, were delivered super quickly! This is a nice thing when you're already starting to feel like you've been married a million years because life has gone back to normal and boring.) Phil made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, embraced the weird things we could not help but do, and nailed the balance of taking photos that felt like us, but also special and way more beautiful than we typically look. The Portos' approach produces images that are perfectly non-traditional but yet so classic and lovely. Additionally, as a fairly Type A bride (I'm sure there aren't many of those out there...), Phil was incredibly easy to work with each step of the way and remained calm and collected on the big day even when I felt like many things were not going as planned. But you should know, I do deeply regret one thing about working with The Portos. And that's the fact that I was a real dummy and didn't also hire them as videographers. Don't make the same mistake I did. And hire these guys/gals - like right now!

Phil and his team are absolutely incredible!! We wanted to find the right photographer for us that wasn't too traditional since that wasn't our taste. We scrolled through quite of lot of photographers and The Portos stood out for their candid, playful and professional style. Phil was an absolute professional in the weeks leading up the wedding, giving us guidance without being overwhelming. On the day, Phil was amazing... again he was the utmost professional giving us direction without being disruptive. Even for all the 'staged' shots with our wedding party and when it was just the two of us it still felt natural and fun. We just got back the pictures and I can't believe how good a job he did to capture the feeling and emotions from the day. First off, The Portos are incredible! Phil and Christa care so much about getting to know you and making everything run like butta'! Phil even called me to make sure I was okay and everything was going smoothly when there was a little hiccup in our planning. They are thoughtful and down-to-earth and it shows in their work. John photographed our Florida wedding and every single photo is amazing! I would absolutely recommend them - they will give you photos you will cherish for a lifetime.

The Portos have been incredible from the start. My husband and I both wanted a team who would match our energy and take beautiful photos we could be proud of. Phil and Christa are fabulous!!! After reading all the online reviews and my phone interview with Phil, I just knew I had found my photographer. Scott and I knew we would get amazing photos captured at our wedding, and also that we would have a great time doing so! Right at the start, Phil understood what we wanted our wedding to be - city hall ceremony, separate reception, first dance to Metallica, and a photo shoot - and he was all on board. It has only been a few weeks after the wedding and we have already received our photos! Also, I would be remiss not to mention that I had originally contracted with All in White as my videographer but due to things out of our control, they were not able to do our wedding. Phil called me to let me know and saved the day by letting me know that Christa would be able to take it on! I truly appreciated letting me know over the phone and also for taking on our wedding as videographer as well. This was the easiest and the best choice I made for my wedding. If you’re looking for a photographer who truly understands people and captures emotions, PLEASE READ. Our journey with Phil and the Portos team started over a year ago right after we got engaged and I started searching the Internet for wedding photographers. At first, we were planning on getting married in NYC, so the Portos team came up during our search. Of all the photographers that I spoke with and met with (5+), I was most impressed with the Porto’s portfolio because they captured not just the beautiful details of weddings, but also (and arguably more importantly) the joy, surprise, and awe of people’s emotions. Phil was immediately responsive to my inquiry, and made me feel at ease from the start. Wedding vendors can sometimes make you feel cornered and overwhelmed, but working with Phil was always straightforward and personal. He has integrity and is a truly caring person, which is evident in the way he approaches his business. Weddings are expensive, and Phil was able to be flexible with us and to be understanding of our budget. Once we booked, my husband and I also had the chance to get drinks with him and found out first hand how fun and real Phil is as a person as well. When we decided to move our wedding location to Chicago, he was super flexible and happily accepted the challenge. Throughout our wedding day itself, he took charge and helped us get all of the shots we wanted. We always felt raw and natural with him - never awkward and artificially posed. The very next day, he sent a preview of a few photos for us, so we didn’t have to wait weeks to get our first peek. Perhaps most importantly, he went above and beyond to share with us lessons and wisdoms from his own marriage and relationship with his wife Christa. We truly felt he was invested in us beyond our wedding day or the 9 hour block he was with us, and that he cared about our marriage and our relationship. I don’t have enough good words to say about Phil and the Portos team. John shot our wedding in New Jersey and blew us away with the photos! Let me start by saying – John is not just an excellent professional photographer, but an awesome person. He is thoughtful – when he arrived, he gave us an umbrella as a wedding gift because it was supposed to rain on our wedding day. He is friendly – he took the time to get to know us over Skype before our wedding day and even though we hadn’t spent much time with him, the day of we felt so comfortable with him. He is FUN – from knowing just how to make everyone laugh during the photos to joining in on the Wobble with us on the dance floor, he was an awesome party guest! Now, let’s talk about the photos. As I looked through them the first time, my heart melted. It was an emotional roller coaster and so many words were going through my head to describe the photos I was looking at: Astounding. Emotional. Art. Happy. Smiles. Laughter. Warm. Hilarious. Fun. LOVE. John truly captured the joy of our wedding day, the beauty of the venue, and the love shared not just between us but between those we love so dearly, too. The Portos were awesome! When I started to research photographers for my wedding in Tampa, while living in NJ, it was overwhelming and confusing. I received a referral from my florist for the Portos. As soon as I had my first Facetime (not just a call) with Phil, I was sold! They were amazing to work with from start to finish. On the day of, Phil & his team were chill, calming and captured every detail and everything we asked for. We could not have been happier AND to top it off...our pictures delivered early! The Portos really take the time to get to know their couples and genuinely care!

When I first began to research photographers to capture our wedding, I was completely overwhelmed with all of the recommendations. I was looking for something specific and more of a vintage feel to remember our day by. I compiled a list of all of the photographers that visually matched my style and began the process to finding our perfect fit. After seeing The Portos work, I completely fell in love and reached out to Phil for more information. After setting up a meeting and speaking with him, we knew him and his team were perfect for us! Jennifer (Jen) from The Portos team captured our day and she couldn't have been more down to earth and fit in with our group better. She truly captured our personalities and pure joy and laughter from our day. I asked her for specific shots throughout the night and she never hesitated to get it done. My guests still rave about how great she was! Choosing The Portos was the best decision we made and we're so thankful to of had them there on our special day!

The Portos are an amazingly talented photography team! From the moment my now husband and I booked with them, we felt comfortable reaching out to ask questions and knew they would be there for us not just on the big day but for all the stuff in between. When it came time for the big day, the Portos were on time, professional and executed against their day of timeline perfectly. I worked specifically with Phil and cannot say enough good things! Phil has a way of making you and your spouse feel comfortable in front of the camera so that most of your photos are candid, natural and “in the moment”. We knew we were going to love the photos, as we loved all of the Portos work on their site but we didn’t know how much we were going to love them! We have received so many compliments on the photos and one person actually told us that the emotion the photos evoked actually made her tear up a bit—and this was someone we are not even close to (not like a family member). That’s how powerful their work is. If you have any doubts about booking, don’t. We’ve always prioritized photography for our wedding day, as it is the only tangible thing that is left after the big day and I wanted to capture memories that would last a lifetime and thanks to the Portos, we do.

Phil photographed our engagement session for us and we could not be happier! Being a photographer myself, I was very particular when it came to choosing someone to do our wedding and engagement, and the Porto’s artistic style was exactly what I wanted. When I first contacted Phil, I had no idea where I wanted this session to happen but I explained to him the mood I was looking for. I quickly got a response back and he knew the exact place for us, which was seriously exactly what I wanted! Phil’s style is not the usual “cheesey” type of engagement or couple photography and I just love that so much, we were posed but it doesn’t look like it. My fiancé and I had never had professional photos taken before so we were not completely sure what it would be like for us, but Phil was very good about telling us how to pose but also keeping the mood light and fun. The session was very intimate and not awkward at all, which I was unsure of before the photoshoot. We got our pictures back sooner than I expected and I love them all, I still have not narrowed down which ones to post or print because we have so many to choose from! All of our photos look like we knew what we were doing, and that is all thanks to Phil, not us! Our photoshoot experience could not have gone smoother and our images could not have come out any better!

When the videographer we hired was unable to edit our video, the Portos were able to do it and the finished product was far beyond what we could have ever imagined. Things I didn't even know I wanted, they delivered! They are so talented, efficient, and great to work with!

WOW. First things first...we got our photo delivery earlier than expected (5 weeks early to be exact) :) The Portos were the best decision we made for our wedding and were worth every penny. Phil was amazing from the start and we immediately clicked from our first coffee meeting! We were skeptical of doing a first look but Phil helped us realize it was the right choice for us. It’s important to note that Phil made us feel 100% comfortable in our own skin during our first look and wedding party photos. Our wedding was unique in that we had a very tight timeline with our first look, sunset early, wedding time, large wedding party, long reception, etc. and Phil was able to work with it all! The Portos were there for us throughout our entire planning process to answer any questions we had along the way and provide guidance when needed. My favorite photos are the raw and emotional moments that were captured by Phil and his team. We will definitely be recommending them to all of our engaged friends :)

I can't say enough about Phil! The incredible photos are just one small part of the experience we had with him. He arrived early to scope out places for to take unique photos that captured the charm of the area and not just where the actual ceremony was. He also made the experience super easy and made it fun too. I was still in a bit of shock because it was my own wedding but Phil help my bride and I through the process and we now have memories and photos that will last a lifetime. I recommend booking them with my highest enthusiasm. You. Will. Not. Regret. It! :)

The Portos are amazing at what they do! They take great pride in their work and it shows. Phil and his team were so genuine and knowledgeable. My venue and event time posed a challenge (rooftop, sunset, dim lighting) and they were able to work with it and my photos turned out like something straight from a magazine. I paid a bit more than I originally budgeted for… I do NOT regret it one bit, it was worth every penny and then some. I have 400+ photos from my event, and all of them are stunning. I was so worried about not looking like a bride as I didn’t lose as much weight as I had planned, I was mainly worried about the photos but all of the photos turned out amazing. Phil maintained communication from the moment I contacted him until photo delivery, he was always there to make suggestions, offer advice or just to answer some questions. I cannot recommend Phil and his team enough! If you want amazing, breath taking pictures, this is the team for you!

Phil and Christa were the first vendor we went with for our wedding and they are amazing humans. We were still in grad school and knew that amazing pictures were the most important thing for us and they are totally worth it. They would always respond quickly to our questions and were on board with our vision from the start (Wes Anderson vintage and they didn’t think we were weirdos). Guests at our wedding said Phil was one of the nicest people and kept saying how amazing our photographers were. I am so so so excited to see our wedding pictures and know, after seeing three, that I’ll love them. I think if you’re on the fence about hiring these awesome folks you should definitely go for it—you won’t regret it.

We connected with the Porto’s early this year for our wedding October 7th, 2017. We instantly hit it off with the personable, outgoing duo. One of their photographers and his wife shot our engagement photos in February. Our engagement session was easy, fun, and most importantly our photos were perfect. Unfortunately, they were already book for a wedding our same weekend, but Phil and Christa offered to fly their New York Photographer, John, down for our wedding. We had the pleasure of talking to John on the phone several times before our wedding, and met him in person the day of. John and his second shooter made us and our families comfortable, and it was like they weren’t even there. Their creativity, resourcefulness, and great senses of humor made it an easy going day and even that much more perfect. In addition, The Porto’s initially estimated approximately 6-8 weeks for the editing of our photos. We were pleasantly surprised when we received our edited album 4.5 weeks early. The pictures were everything we wished for and more. We would definitely recommend their services to anyone!

Phil and his team are great to work with, and their photos are fantastic! I love when they are working on an event with us, because we know that the product and professionalism is top notch. Phil and Christa were amazing!! The photography for our wedding was really important to us, and we did not want the classic, cookie cutter photos. We really wanted someone who would be able to capture our relationship in an artistic yet spontaneous way, and that's exactly what the Portos did. Starting with our engagement shoot, they took the time to really get to know us as a couple and make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. They made us feel as if we were taking photos with friends and not a hired team. On our wedding day, they helped us de-stress and remember that this day was really about us and our marriage. They were very organized, made sure I got all my requested shots, and even scoped out our location before the wedding to get some amazing street photos during our bridal shoot. We spent a lot of time researching photographers and I am so happy we went with the Portos. Their photos truly came out spectacular and they helped make our day run as smoothly as possible!!

I really can't emphasize enough how awesome The Portos are. Phil photographed my wedding and he was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. He was always available throughout the planning to answer questions and provide perspective. While he has the experience to run the experience like a drill sergeant (much appreciated at times when you're trying to herd cattle), he also still makes everything so much fun and NOT AWKWARD. Which was crucial in getting some great, truly candid, shots. And while most photographers can do the couple shots, I must also give a shout out to Phil's editing of the dancing portion of the night. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Way too many photographers I looked at have dancing photos that are reminiscent of those 90s club promo ads - no bueno. My family and bridal party all mentioned how impressed they were with Phil & team; they balanced perfectly being there when you needed but being a fly on the wall otherwise.

Phil and Christa were so understanding about the multiple dynamics going on at our multicultural wedding. They took amazing photos and great video that helped us remember every moment of our precious day. Throughout the process, they prayed for us, encouraged us and supported us. We would not have been able to be ourselves in front of any other team of photographers, because no one could have exceeded their roles as photographer and videographer into friends like that did. And to top it all off, we got our photos FIVE weeks early! Can't recommend these two enough!

I wouldn't be as happy with my photos if I choose anyone else! I keep getting compliments about my photos to this day and. The Porto's have an amazing gift not to just capture a good couple or wedding photo but to capture a work of art. When talking with Phil about our engagement and wedding photos he was extremely accommodating and helped bring forth a vision and made it come alive. There are many photographers I could've chosen in my state to do my photos but nothing amazed me more then the work I've seen by the Porto's. It was all worth it to fly them down twice Through out the process and during the sessions, the Porto's where nothing but genuine, flexible, organized, and so comfortable to work with! The Porto's passion for what they do is what you hope to find in a photographer who is going to capture the most important time of your life. After our engagement shoot which ended late, Phil told us he would edit at least 4 photos to have by the next morning. He was not kidding! At 12:00 am the next morning he sends me four photos! That means After several hours of him working that day plus a two hour drive back to his hotel he was up even later editing photos with an early fight back that same morning. Same went with our wedding photos! We got ours 5 weeks earlier than the time expected. You know why? Because the Porto's love what they do, and are excited about each session just and much as you will. If your looking for photographers that refuses to do the typical traditional wedding photos, but capture moments in the most exquisite way. Then you need the Porto's!

Working with Phil and Christa was an absolute dream! For starters, every contact with them is a breeze. They respond promptly and all communication with them is efficient. More than that, they are just so sweet and fun to work with. Guests at our wedding complimented their professionalism. Our photos were delivered in a timely manner, and to say we are thrilled with them is an understatement. We cherish literally each photo. Neither me nor my husband enjoy being photographed, but the Portos make you feel so instantly comfortable. For an area of wedding planning I was so unsure about beforehand, I am leaving this review to hopefully help some other bride and groom feel confident in choosing the Portos!

We had already booked a photographer but, at the time, they weren't offering both photo and video together so they sent us a few recommendations. After reviewing both photos and videos to try and get a sense of their style, and meeting Phil and Christa in person we decided to hire them for videography for our wedding. The day was filled with so much emotion, both my husband I couldn't stop smiling but they also made sure we were laughing too. Phil and Christa are such fun and nice people, it was really great to have them be a part of our wedding day! Two days after we got back from our honeymoon and just under 4 weeks after our wedding, I got a text from Phil that we had an email. I checked it and they had finished our wedding video 4 1/2 weeks early! I wasn't even checking for anything from them because it was so early. My husband (who was worried about hearing his voice!) and I sat together and watched our video and we were just blown away by how amazing it was! Every little detail of our day was captured and it was all put together just perfectly! We were a little unsure of whether we needed video of our day but didn't want to regret not doing so. It was definitely worth every penny! I've watched our video multiple times already and am so happy that we have this to watch in the future.

Phil & Christa are so amazing that it’s truly difficult to put it into words. We absolutely loved working with them on our wedding day and the days leading up to it. They were incredibly kind and patient with us throughout the entire process. We planned our wedding in about 3 months, so they even brought up things we hadn’t thought of yet. We are honestly so grateful to have had Phil and Christa shoot our wedding. It’s hard to top these two; they seriously went above and beyond. They were so genuine and a lot of fun to work with, and they truly captured our wedding and the joy we felt on this day so beautifully. We are so thrilled with the outcome of our photos and our parents can’t stop talking about how incredible they turned out!

Where do I even begin to say how great The Portos were. As a couple of introverts, my fiancé and I were nervous about taking engagement photos. I've had bad experiences with photographers before where you get barely any direction and you just end up standing their awkwardly for too long. This was the exact opposite of that. Phil made us feel completely comfortable during the shoot, and even encouraged our laughing and giggling (which we do a lot). The poses weren't stale/forced looking, and our photos turned out so organic! I couldn't be more happy with my photos, because they truly express our personalities through the lens. If you're on the fence on booking these guys, don't be. Book and you won't regret it!

The Portos are simply amazing. We knew our photos would be wonderful because we’ve seen so much of their work. It was the above and beyond that surprised us. Our day was so comfortable and such a blast thanks to them. They’re so dedicated to making sure things run smoothly and always making you laugh and feel special.

We felt so comfortable with them, Phil even helped the groom tie his bow tie when his nerves were getting the best of him.They played a key role in making our day so magical. They both have a great eye, got there early and even extended their stay for us just to make sure we got all the shots we wanted. Originally my husband and myself were told about a photographer that my husband friend used for their wedding and she was great. Turned out she was not available for out wedding date BUT she was able to refer us to many other photographers to do our wedding. Once we saw The Portos website we were amazed at their work and definitely wanted to know more. To be honest I was a little weirded out when just to set up an appointment they wanted to know A LOT about how we met and about our lives period. I was not quite used to that because everyone else we met with got straight to the money part. Once we actually met them I then understood why they asked all those questions. It was very important to them to get to know us and get comfortable because they will be taking video/pictures of us all day on our special day. I absolutely loved that about them. In our first meeting it was like my husband and myself were talking in the mirror because of how alike we all were. It was a little scary but cool lol Right then and there we knew that we NEEDED The Portos to be our photographers. Even after the first meeting they were easily reachable and keep in touch often about our special day. The day of our wedding couldn't have gone better for us with the help of the The Portos being there for us for all of our needs for our photos and video. They were very attentive to everything going on and made sure it was perfect for us. We could not be anymore please with the product that we received from all of the hard work they put in to make our day the best it could ever be. Anyone would be lucky to use The Portos in the future for any type of photography and videography.

My husband and I had already settled on another photographer for our wedding. However, a few months prior to our ceremony, we were at a wedding The Portos happened to be shooting. At the reception they had an iPad displaying some photos already edited from the ceremony and we were blown away. We immediately knew we wanted the Portos to shoot our wedding. From our first conversation with Phil and Christa they went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and were there to answer any questions leading up to our big day. They work with you to make sure everything you’d like in photos is captured, including the moments you haven’t even thought about. The location for our ceremony was an outdoor venue and as soon as the ceremony was over, it started pouring rain. The Portos remained calm even though they could tell we were both upset and were able to get us photos we are thrilled with. Even still, Phil and Christa offered to schedule a re-shoot the following day if we were up for getting re-dressed in our wedding day attire. We took them up on it and as luck would have it, it ended up storming even worse. Not giving up and wanting to have some fun, Phil drove us around looking for different spots to take photos. Ultimately we ended up embracing the storm and danced in the rain. Phil’s gear could have been damaged but he was more worried about getting us photos and memories we’d have for the rest of our lives. By the end of the night all of us were drenched but had big smiles on our faces. Phil and Christa are not just great photographers but are extraordinary people. We couldn’t be happier about our beautiful photos, I can’t imagine having gone with anyone else. We highly recommend you book this dynamic duo, because, who are we kidding, no one will be able to do a better job than The Portos ;)

The Portos are everything you want in a photographer and more. Not only are they talented and creative, they are charismatic, caring and driven. They did our engagement and wedding photography, I am in love with all of our photos and am in love with them as humans!

I'm just going to say it: the Portos are the real deal. We were first drawn to their artistic style, knowing they could capture the look we were going for with our wedding. But once we met over Skype, the four of us just clicked and we knew they were our people. Phil and Christa made us feel comfortable and at ease (along with all of our guests, who kept asking us "Where did you find your photographers? They're awesome!"). They were professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process of planning, contracts, engagement shoot, day-of scheduling, and the big day. My husband and I were so nervous about picking our photographer because we get nervous in front of a camera. After speaking to Phil on the phone, I immediately called my husband (fiance) and told him I found our photographers! All it took was one phone call to know how amazing of people they are and that capturing the most important day of peoples life is their passion. It is hard to put into words how incredible The Portos are. Phil and Christa did the unimaginable for me and my wife. -TIMELY & ORGANIZED... What would I do without the Portos. My husband and I were on a tight budget and of course that means DIY wedding planner... However, who wants to deal with a timeline the day of their wedding? The Portos did an incredible job (which really isn't their job) of laying out the day in an organized fashion. We progressed from one thing to the next and it was so fluid! They didn't miss a beat from capturing my sweet nieces jammin' out to Fergie, my bridesmaids getting weird dancing, my silly faces, and my sweet groom getting "so fresh and so clean"... They got it all. I wasn't having to tell them, "hey catch this" or, "don't forget this is next," rather they were directing the crowd and the fun in the most relaxed way. -CREATIVE, REALISTIC & VISIONARY... I'm not so wonderful at posed pictures, but to capture a tender moment between my groom and I was a piece of (wedding) cake for Phil and Christa. Both of them worked together to communicate to us about where to walk, what to do, and even slid some encouragement our way to enjoy the day and RELAX, after all it's the BIG DAY. The whole entire day it poured. Yes, it was the middle of July in sunny south Florida and yes, it was am outside wedding. Did that stop the Potos from bringing their "thunder and lightning"? Hec nah. They used the sun (when it was peeking through the clouds) and they used the storm to create images that nailed our day. They didn't care about a few sprinkles and sure didn't complain one bit. Yes, our wedding was moved in 5 min before the ceremony... And it was beautiful, I'm so thankful I was able to put full confidence in Phil and Christa and their work! -ELEGANT & GRACEFUL... They take their job seriously. Each photo was breathtaking. I'm so thankful that the Portos were patient with me while I was in my last semester of college and planning a wedding, so supportive during the storm all afternoon and evening on the wedding day, and so stylish when it comes to seizing the little moments and big moments, the emotions, the people, and the JOY! I honestly wish I lived in Tampa just so I could hang with them all the time. Phil and Christa are filled with hope, love, and passion... It's contagious!!! Let them blow you away!

We absolutely loved working with The Portos (Phil & Christa)! Not only are their work amazing, they themselves are an amazing people to work with.
