Tim and Emily were awesome. Before the event, one of the things I was most impressed with was the level of communication they had. They were super professional and always responded quickly and gave me the information I needed. They arranged for pickup of the order, and that whole process was seamless. They arrived when they said they would at the event, which was my son's rehearsal dinner. They had worked with us on creating recipes for two specialty cocktails, which were a hit. They had given great recommendations on what other drinks we should have on-hand. Those ended up being great recommendations. Everything went off without a hitch. I'd highly recommend Tim and Emily. Rather than having a corporate-type bartending service, it felt more like having a custom experience from people who actually care about their craft, not just people working a “job”.
We could not say enough good things about our bartending experience with The Pourfolk (we love that name), and its’ owners, Tim and Emily! As we were planning our daughter & son in law’s wedding weekend, we stumbled upon this company for bartending, and this was the best find we made! The Pourfolk did our “Welcome to the weekend” cocktail party for about 120 people, and from the very start of the process, we knew we were in the right hands. Tim and Emily came to our home, made suggestions for the best flow for the party, and gave us a shopping list for how much alcohol we should purchase for what kind of party we were looking for and what we wanted to offer our guests! It didn’t stop there, they helped us put the order through, from all the extra mixers, and sodas, they supplied all the ice, they even made adorable signage for specialty cocktails for the Bride and Groom’s drink of choice! As great as this was, I need to highlight what elevates their company and will make them the only bartending service I will ever use, their love of what they do and their GARNISHES! It was unreal! They had torched jalapeños for the spicy margs, and baked peaches for the Bourbon peach Paloma ! They even had several mocktail choices, and every drink looked like a masterpiece! Our guests were so happy and in awe to get such a good drink, displayed in such fun ways and not to be waiting in long lines! We honestly don’t know how they do it, but that’s why we won’t try that again without their help! They even stayed on top of all the garbage and cleanup throughout the whole night! I only wish we had booked them for the next night at the venue for the wedding as well! Now we know! Make sure to include Tim and Emily, The Pourfolk, at your special events! It will be the simplest choice you could make!

With over 40 years of combined experience in bartending, restaurants, and private events, we met the way many great stories do—working side by side in a restaurant, where Tim managed and Emily bartended. The bar industry didn’t just shape our careers—it became part of our story.
The Pourfolk was created with intention after planning our own wedding in Upstate South Carolina. We quickly realized that bartending services were often treated as an afterthought—limited customization, little to no planning support, and expensive packages that didn’t reflect the experience we envisioned. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built one.
