I absolutely loved my experience with the Pretty committee! Our makeup artist Katy was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and straight up fun! The booking process was super easy and they were more than accommodating in regards to my schedule. I even needed to redo my trial make up and they were awesome about it. I didn’t know anything about getting makeup done and was super intimidated by it, but I can’t recommend them enough. They eased my worries, made it super affordable, and we looked like we were straight out of a magazine. 10/10

Kaili did an amazing job at making me feel the most beautiful I've ever felt! She was easy to communicate with and when I mentioned things I wanted to cover or change about my appearance for my day, she was quick to give me recommendations that led to the confidence I felt the entire day. Pretty Committee Hair and Beauty, specifically Alyssa (makeup) Alluring by Alyssa and Cam (hair). I felt beautiful on the day because of these two. Alyssa listened to my vision and helped me feel beautiful while also still feeling like I looked like myself. Cams styling made me feel the perfect amount of styled but also not too overdone. They did my friends hair/makeup and each one felt well taken care of.

We had a large group of ladies getting ready (me, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a niece) and they were able to keep us pretty on track timewise. We did fall a little behind schedule. I did have a different artist day of than did my trial due to an artist having a family emergency (totally understandable) and I felt like they did a good job of immediately connecting me with a replacement and checking in with me to make sure it was okay. Everyone was satisfied with their hair and makeup, and I think they did a good job of working with a variety of skin tones and hair textures. That said, it did rain on the day so my curls obviously fell. I don't fault them for that, there is only so much you can do with rain! I just wanted to point it out to say that I felt like my hair still looked good and it looked even better before we got rained on. (: The same could be said for my bridesmaids - we all needed touch ups before the ceremony. In full transparency, I did feel like the travel cost was a bit high (around $75 per artist) for them to travel from GR to South Haven. That would be my only major issue, but it was also shared upfront so something I was aware of!

The Pretty Committee was great to work with! They are very responsive and their stylists and artists are so friendly and amazing at what they do! I worked with Arielle, Ashley, and Danielle. Myself, bridal party, and moms looked incredible on my wedding day!! They were so accommodating for my mother, and went out of the way to go to a separate location to do her hair and make up due to her health. Thank you so much!

The Pretty Committee did an incredible job with our hair and makeup on my August wedding day. Kelsey and Elaina listened carefully to each of us and executed our desired styles flawlessly. I highly recommend The Pretty Committee!

Arielle was a match made in heaven for my wedding day. She made me and my bridesmaids look absolutely stunning. She knew exactly what I wanted. She was so delightful and fun to be around. I don’t wear a lot of makeup, yet she knew exactly what to do and how to make me look myself. She was patient, time efficient, and detail oriented. I was nervous for I have never done airbrush makeup before, but it was perfect! It stayed on all day and looked extremely light and natural. I highly recommend it for weddings! My experience from the trial to the wedding day was everything I could have dreamed of!!

My hair stylist was perfect!!! Kelsey did my bridal party and I’s hair for my wedding and she was amazing!!! She is the sweetest person ever!! My hair was perfect and stayed for 13 hours! She got all 8 of us done before the scheduled time which was amazing!! She executed everyone’s inspiration pictures flawlessly. Everyone loved their hair and could not say enough good things about Kelsey!! I highly recommend her to anyone!!! 5 stars for Kelsey!!! I originally booked them for both services but after the trial I was unhappy with my makeup. They are very responsive which was so helpful throughout this whole process. One of the things I did not like about this group was that they assign you a hair stylist and makeup artist after you pay your deposit so you do not have a say in who you get. I felt that the pictures they had posted on The Knot and other websites did not at all reflect the makeup service I received. I asked to change MUA and they got me someone else but after looking online at her profile, I still did not think it was the look I was paying to get. I canceled my makeup services and thought that I could move my money over to just hair services. A member of the group originally said I could but then as it got closer they said they could not move my money over to be allocated solely for hair services. I was frustrated with the misunderstanding and with the loss of money. Overall, I would say if you want someone specific book with them individually and look at their social media and the artists for more accurate representation of their services.

I cannot recommend The Pretty Committee highly enough! I was absolutely thrilled with how my hair looked on my wedding day, and their prices were very reasonable compared to many other vendors I considered. Before booking, I asked to be paired with a stylist experienced with fine hair, and they certainly delivered. I was matched with Amber Lester-Riddle, who worked wonders with my hair, both for my trial and the big day. She also styled the hair of four others in my wedding party, each with different hair types, and we were all very happy with the results—a rare event! My hair has never looked better. Thank you to The Pretty Committee and Amber for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

We absolutely loved working with The Pretty Committee for my wedding on June 15th! Leading up to the wedding date, they were always very responsive and quick to respond to any questions I had. I hired the Pretty Committee for my bridal party hair and makeup. Ashlyn was our makeup artist and Danielle was our hairstylist. Both ladies were awesome, professional, and did an amazing job! All of my bridesmaids were blown away at how well the hair and makeup turned out and it was so rewarding that everyone felt beautiful and confident on the big day! I did a bridal trial before hand with Ashlyn and Danielle and they took a lot of time to get to know me and what I was looking for. This made the process on the wedding day so smooth and quick. TPC Stylist Candace was an absolute dream to work with for my own wedding! She knocked it out of the park on both my hair and makeup. I would book her or this company again!

Candace was amazing! She was so sweet and is a true artist! I have really stubbornly straight hair that usually doesn’t hold a curl, but she worked her magic and my hair was absolutely gorgeous throughout the whole day. The makeup was absolutely gorgeous too! She was so personable and I couldn’t have asked for a better stylist

My hair completely fell out 20 minutes after the stylists did it, leaving my bridesmaids scrambling to redo it 10 minutes before first look. When I requested a refund, it took them 2 months to complete it. This was the 1 thing about my wedding I would do differently.

Kellen and Kim were Rockstar! Not only my trial h&m went smooth but they were willing to accommodate and extra service because I wanted to see how the other foundation worked on my skin. (Kim) my husband even commented how natural it looks but enhances my beauty. The hair (kellen) was so effortless on her part and even though all I did was put it up in a bun, she managed not to stab me with any Bobby pins ha that's a first.. Book them!

I had a great experience working with the Pretty Committee for my wedding day! Kelsey and Tabatha did a great job on hair and makeup for me and several members of my bridal party. The wedding was up in Traverse City and they drove up from Grand Rapids and were there and ready to start by 8am. They were responsive and very flexible, able to provide great service for those with specific visions as well as those who needed inspiration or recommendations. Carla (the manager/owner) was also very helpful when I had questions about payment! My hair and makeup stayed beautiful all night and I got so many compliments. I would definitely recommend The Pretty Committee!

The Pretty Committee was amazing to work with! They were quick to respond to emails and had great prices. Our stylist Ashley was very professional and fun to work with. Our makeup turned out gorgeous and everyone in my wedding party looked beautiful!

They were amazing! All of my bridesmaids and I loved our hair and make-up. The artists followed direction very well and if anyone didn't like anything they were willing to start over and get it right. All the artists were able to do everything my girls wanted in a timely manner and all the looks looked great all night. Highly recommend

My bridesmaids and I had an awesome experience with TPC on my wedding day! Kara and Cynthia did a phenomenal job. My bridal party included several updos, and when I say the styles did not move out of place the whole night I mean it! My makeup lasted the entire night as well, even after taking photos outside and lots of time on the dance floor. They came in with a detailed itinerary and finished with time to spare. Definitely recommend!

Scheduling with TPC was not as seamless as one would hope. I had my hair and makeup trial scheduled for a month, maybe more, and suddenly a week before my trial I received an email that it was rescheduled. I had also strategically scheduled a boudoir photo shoot after those trial appointments, so the change was not ideal. I emailed and eventually got them back to the original date and times. But the added stress was not appreciated by an already stressed out bride. For the services, both Stevie (makeup) and Anna (hair) were great. Stevie even saved the day for my Aunt who had her makeup done elsewhere and it turned out awful. Thanks again, Stevie :)

Don’t hesitate to book The Pretty Committee for your wedding day! The coordinators were helpful and responsive and I was so happy with my hair and makeup artists Anna and Kara. They made sure everyone had everything they wanted and stayed on time. These guys are true professionals, and a must have for your wedding day.

I loved having my hair and makeup done by The Pretty Committee! As someone who is not good at makeup or hair I loved having Candace and Erin to help with that. It made my wedding morning go so smooth. Both of them did amazing jobs. Erin and Candace were so sweet and accommodating to last minute changes. If you are getting married in the next year I would recommend The Pretty Committee.

The Pretty Committee did a great job doing wedding party makeup for my wedding. They took the time to listen to what each person wanted and everyones makeup lasted throughout the night - some even into the next morning! My artist took the time to listen to what changes I wanted on my wedding day compared to my bridal trial and perfected them beautifully!

I had the pleasure of working with The Pretty Committee for my September 17, 2022 wedding and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Shortly after securing services for myself and my entire bridal party (mom and flower girls included!), the team was quick and efficient with all communications and were instrumental in helping organize what was quite literally the largest group of ladies. My party and I had been paired up with Rachael, Elaina and Ashley. They were nothing short of amazing! From the moment I met Rachael and Elaina at my trial, I knew we’d be in good hands. They were extremely attentive to the vision I had for myself and I was over the moon with the results. On the day of, they were prompt in their arrival and did an amazing job at working through all 11 of us — my girls looked stunning! But most importantly they contributed such great energy leading up to the ceremony! I highly recommend The Pretty Committee and look forward to using their services for events in the future!

Pretty Committee was excellent with quick communication and resolution to any issues that came up for my September 2022 wedding. I had Alicia for my wedding makeup artist and she was incredible! She was flexible and played around with different looks during my trial until I was 100% happy with things. She recreated the look perfectly on my wedding day and I thought all of the mom's and bridesmaid's makeup looked natural and like themselves. She has a great energy and was a joy to have around while we were getting ready for the wedding. I did have some challenges with my hairstylist, as I was reassigned a stylist about 4-5 months before my wedding and had difficulty with communication with my new hairstylist Jess. She was unable to come to my hair trial after I had driven 3 hours to GR but made up for it by driving to my home on a week night 2 weeks before the wedding. There was quite a bit of stress that came from lack of communication on what was going on other than being reassured it would not happen again. On the day of the wedding, she was fairly late and I became very stressed due to prior issues with the hair trial. My hair ended up looking great and in the end that is what mattered, but there was just quite a bit of unnecessary anxiety surrounding a vendor on my wedding day.

So easy to book, so easy to coordinate! Erin from the Pretty Committee styled hair at my October 2022 and she was just the best. SO helpful, so relaxed, and so kind. The hair looked great, but the experience was even better.

Rachael and Katy were fantastic for my bridal hair/makeup in plus 4 other girls. In addition to arriving right on time to our location, they were both very friendly/approachable and contributed to our laid back atmosphere while keeping us on schedule. Rachael did a great job incorporating my hair extensions into my floral headpiece while Katy did a phenomenal job with my airbrushed makeup and smoky fall eyes. Everyone was happy with how their looks turned out!

They are amazing to work with. From the trial to the wedding. They make you feel special. Cynthia had all the girls hair exactly how they wanted them. It was perfect, she knew how to worm with all types of hair, and even fixed a couple lose ends before she left. Candace made everyone feel like a princess, she knew what each face type needed, kept the young girls young but still glamorous. And highlighted everyone’s special features. We all looked so beautiful with no stress throughout the whole process.

I cannot say enough good things about The Pretty Committee! I booked them for my wedding on September 24, 2022, and was blown away! Leading up to the wedding they were very communicative. Quick to answer questions via email, Stylists and Makeup Artists were very responsive via text for trials and the day of. The day of the wedding, Danielle, Tabatha, and Jaci were fantastic- very professional and fun! We had a large group (1 bride, 8 bridesmaids, and 1 mother). Everyone looked fantastic, and they finished ahead of schedule. Which gave our group some time to enjoy the day. I'd book them again in a heartbeat!

We had Alicia at our wedding. She was fantastic. Often you tell a make up artist you want to be natural, only to look at your face and not look like you. She made us look wonderful, while still respecting that we wanted to look like ourselves.

The Pretty Committee staff was amazing! It was so nice they were able to come to the hotel and help my bridal party get ready. They went above and beyond what I expected and even helped out with some last minute eyelashes and covering tan lines.

I originally wrote a review in 2020 for a 2019 trial and now that, I have FINALLY gotten married this past May, I'm excited to write another one! Emily (make-up) and Cam (hair) were amazing! Starting at 7:30am, the duo worked through hair and makeup for 7 people: bride (me), 4 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and an aunt in 4.5 hours! Throughout the planning process, the Pretty Committee was very communicative and day of, Emily and Cam were on time which is always a relief. Both were personable and were constantly checking in for feedback to make sure the women were comfortable with their looks. Something I didn’t mention in my original review was one of the reasons I chose the Pretty Committee was from seeing their portfolio covering women of different skin and hair types. This was a big factor for me being of south east Asian descent and having a bridal party and relatives of different demographics. I wanted to make sure everyone felt their beautiful selves and both Emily and Cam smashed it! They are both talented and beautiful individuals who know their craft and work perfectly together.

I had the best experience with The Pretty Committee from the very beginning! They were very responsive when it came to the initial booking of my wedding and the trial. I had a quote for both within hours of first reaching out to them! Nick and Kara were both amazing! They were super willing to try whatever I wanted to do with my hair and makeup during the trial. On my actual wedding day, they were both welcoming to my bridal party! We started fairly early, but they were both ready to go! They worked together to figure out the schedule for how they wanted to work, which was super helpful because there was zero overlap. I absolutely recommend the pretty committee for any formal makeup and hair needs! We had Cynthia, Rachael, and Gretchen as our stylist, they were very professional, ahead of schedule, and gave everybody exactly what they were looking for. Rachael had recommended that I look into using hair extensions while we were doing our first hair trial. I ended up taking her recommendation and buying some off of Amazon and she gave me another trial to help me decide if I wanted to use them or not. Everyone was very easy to get into contact with and responded really quickly to any concerns! 10/10 recommend!!
