Where do we begin....
It has been the upmost pleasure working with The Pridwin for our wedding! We count our blessings that we found Jennifer, JP and the whole Pridwin Staff to b...
e the ones to pull off our wedding just in the grand style that they did. From the first meetings to the farewell hugs, they fulfilled all of our expectations and more! The atmosphere and beauty at The Priwin had our guest in awe. Shelter Island and The Pridwin are a very special spot for us , everyone has raved about it and many commented, “Best wedding we’ve ever been to!”
The delicious food and the cocktail hour was so impressive...everyone keep raving about the raw bar! The use of our speciality drinks and rose station was a huge hit as well. People were very impressed from the beginning with the cocktail hour, stations and raved over the seafood display as they hung out on the deck with the beautiful view infant of them.
The servers and bartenders were plentiful and first class. The groom and father of the bride were especially pleased with the individual service that was provided, nothing was missed or left out. They are truly are a top of the line, professional from the top to the bottom, inside and out.
The food tasting was another special day for us. Jennifer and JP accompanied mine and my husbands family for the tasting. We had a beautiful table on the deck and it was delightful to chat with them and the chef.
Jennifer was with us every step of the way, answering all sorts of messages from myself, my mom, and my mother in law. She became more of a friend to us then someone helping plan our wedding. It was a wonderful experience having someone like her helping guide us. It was truly sad to end the experience with her and The Pridwin.
JP and his staff are THE BEST! It was comforting to have him there making sure our day went smoothy without and hiccups. Our guest really enjoyed him and his staff.
We highly recommend getting married here if you are looking for a Shelter Island spot, they are sure to not disappoint.

We had the best wedding ever. Our guests were raving about the hotel, the staff, the food, the service, the location. The setting is gorgeous and the set up for our wedding was pe...
rfect. Our guests felt right at home on the deck, at the bar, in the lounge lobby area, at their tables and the dance floor. Everyone said they had SO MUCH FUN. The food was wonderful! Not typical "wedding food", everything was fresh and delicious. The striped bass was amazing and everyone loved the filet. Cocktail hour had wonderful choices of food and guests loved everything. Jennifer and JP were very helpful and went above and beyond the day of to make our day extra special. It has such a gorgeous view of the bay, private docks and beach for photos.... There is an awesome fire pit with adirondack chairs that we enjoyed after the wedding. Everything was so perfect! Cottage A where we stayed has a beautiful view and was comfy cozy. I wish we could have stayed longer! The Pridwin is gorgeous, laid back, and super charming wedding venue! We can't wait to go back and visit!
A Destination Wedding to Remember
Our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding at The Pridwin was beyond our expectations! We filled the hotel and the cottages with our guests and all en...
joyed the facilities for the weekend. The staff was friendly, informative and attentive to our needs.
From our first communication with the venue, Jennifer was invaluable—guiding us in all phases leading up to and during the three events we hosted at The Pridwin. The food (especially the chef’s preparation of the fresh-caught seafood) and the service were superb. The panoramic views of Crescent Bay, not to mention the glorious sunsets, made this wedding weekend a fairytale experience we will never forget.
The Pridwin now feels like “home”. We will be back soon!

ur special party goes down as the best wedding we have been to. Thank you Pridwin!
My husband proposed to me on Shelter Island, so we decided to get married there. We don't live locally, so we returned to the island after a few months to check out sites. There is...
not a lot to choose from, but this remote feeling, the calm, rather isolated atmosphere is what we were looking for. We chose the pridwin for the sunset view over the bay and the outdoor deck and their enthusiam to host our modestly sized, non-flamboyant event. Every question I had was answered, every concern attended to seriously. Our contract was standard and easy to understand, with no strange, pricey add-ons. And the cost was reasonable, in line with what one would expect for the region. There were so many choices on the menu!! The day of the event, we were able to get in and help set up - again all our concerns and questions were attended to by the onsite coordinator, Alissa Friedman and the manager, Jean-Pierre (JP). We had a flow to the event, the service was thoughtful throughout. And the food!!! all our guests truly enjoyed all the hotel provided. I especially appreciated the locally caught fish and sustainably raised beef and chicken. We were only about 40 adults and some children and everyone just felt marvelous. the buffet brunch teh next day was a bargain add-on. We did not stay at the hotel, as there was a large wedding the night before ours, so I can not attest to the rooms. But our event was just wonderful and it was a gorgeous day!
Our recent wedding at the Pridwin Hotel was fantastic. The staff at the Pridwin was very helpful and kind. They tried they're best to accommodate our every request. Since we got ma...
