About this vendor
The Proud Bird Restaurant is a wedding and events venue located in Los Angeles, CA. Part event center, part museum, this venue offers an uplifting experience for weddings both large and small. Their outdoor ceremony space will allow you to bask in the Southern California sun before an evening of dinner and dancing. Their professional event coordinators will get your wedding vision off the ground for a day that features your distinct personality.
Situated beside the world famous Los Angeles International Airport since 1967, this restaurant and event venue pays homage to the world of aviation. David Tallichet, the restaurant’s founder, had the vision to provide his guests an exceptional destination dining experience complete with one-of-a-kind runway views. Several exhibits honor the history of flight while others educate guests about the future of the industry. The outdoor airplane park features an opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of historic aircraft. Once your aeronautical curiosity has been satisfied, take your guests inside to one of their exquisite ballrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows, elegant chandeliers, and well-appointed decor create an upscale ambience reflecting your style and taste.
Choose from indoor and outdoor event spaces for your sophisticated wedding ceremony or reception. A variety of wedding packages are available which feature the kitchen’s scrumptious, freshly prepared hors d’oeuvres, main courses, and desserts. Both lunch and dinner options are available in order to best suit your needs and budget. Their array of beverages can include a premium bar, coffee and tea service, a champagne toast and more. For a stress-free planning experience, allow their full-service coordinators to design and decorate your event space. They are happy to plan floral arrangements, coordinate the day-of details, and much more. This venue flawlessly combines the intrigue of aviation with all of the amenities required of the modern couple for a wedding day that will be both memorable and exciting.

Pros: offer lunch menus and dinner menus, diverse packages to choose from, they work with your budget, most staff is friendly. Most guests liked the delicious food!
Cons: Grand bal...
lroom was very hot (I asked twice to increase the AC but there was little relief! many guests complained), no windows in the Grand ballroom!. I had to ask for a food tasting, final walk-through and final phone appointment but I wish they initiated this type of communication vs the bride/groom initiating it.
Overall, great venue for a party/celebration, but I probably wouldn't recommend it for a wedding reception. I don't believe they specialize in weddings but they can help host a wedding (there is a difference, if you know, you know..). Highlyyyyy recommend having a day of coordinator if booking with Proud Bird; thankfully our coordinator helped us alot!
