hesitation I called the band leader Paul Hogu and booked them for my wedding. That was the best decision I ever made. The Pulse of Boston exceeded my expeditions. My wife and I requested all up tempo dance music. The guests were dancing all night long! One of the singers sang “Proud Mary”. It was the best rendention of the song I’ve ever heard! 100 hundred stars for this band. I highly recommend them for your wedding or any event if you want the dance floor packed all night.

We did not want to start and stop the party for speeches and a seated dinner, so after our first dance the band would need to take over straight through to the end. We found The Pulse of Boston early-on in the process and [spoiler alert] THEY WERE AMAZING!!! They were the tremendous sound and high energy that we had hoped for, playing the classics, to R&B and funk, with some great Latin thrown in there. Paul and the band learned 3 songs at our request and they were played wonderfully. We asked for no slower songs because we didn't want to kill the mood, and even during their breaks they DJ'd awesome songs and kept the party rocking! Every one who was there commented on how great the band was, even the other vendors! A huge thanks goes out to Paul and The Pulse for helping us have the amazing day we had dreamed of.

ater. We got all of the details from our friends and called Paul soon after we got home. From the moment we booked TPOB, it was a delight. Paul was always willing to chat if we needed to and he had us pumped up from start. Last minute I asked Paul if he could set up a speaker for our ceremony music and it was not a problem (much like anything else I needed). They played all of the songs for the ceremony in the perfect order and for just the right amount of time (surprisingly, this was something that I was stressing about. But of course didn’t need to be). Then came the reception. When I say that they killed it—THEY KILLED IT! I’m pretty sure that every single guest at our wedding was 1. On that dancefloor for every song they played and then 2. Told me how incredible the band was. Everyone LOVED THEM (and endlessly commented on each band members individual talent, let alone as a whole band). The energy that this band brings to a wedding is incomparable. They are SO into the music that their excitement bursts throughout the tent. We had so much fun and I can’t imagine having anyone else play at our wedding. BOOK THEM NOW! You will thank me later.

actually met in person until the day of. As you can imagine, not seeing the band perform in advance made us a little nervous, but we trusted Paul and all his experience. We also had to coordinate getting the band on the ferry, since our wedding was on Nantucket, which added a little extra logistical planning. Fast forward to the big day and everything went went great and the band was incredible. We really got lucky and I highly recommend the Pulse of Boston!

Everyone we've heard from in the few weeks since the wedding is still raving about them, and the experience We had first learned of them from friends who'd seen them at another wedding and said, “you have to check these guys out.” And I have to do a full shout out to all the members of the band, including the singers, who were just so into it and were on a total vibe with everyone in the room. Just fantastic Also, and very important, Paul is a truly great guy to work with, in every aspect. He cares about the music and most of all he cares about you, your guests and getting things right. He asks, he listens and he really pays attention to the details and what you're looking for, in everything from the playlist to the announcements and flow of the event. Paul also arranged and provided a wonderful set for the cocktail hour - very cool, just the right fit for the acoustics and ambiance, definitely added a lot to that key part of the evening. In sum, The Pulse blew us and the room away.
