Wedding of my dreams at the Quechee Inn!!!!! It was truly an incredible weekend. We received so many compliments from guest on our wedding - from the scenery and the food/service to the intimacy of the ceremony on the front lawn. I could not have imagined a more perfect weekend. First, the staff were incredible. Britny, Michele and Rick were super responsive and attentive to our needs during the planning process. And not to mention, they are very kind and good people. Working with them was easy. All staff during the reception, Sunday brunch, and entire stay were exceptional. Second, you cannot beat the views at the Quechee Inn. With the hills in the background and kids running around in the field to guests enjoying s’mores by the bonfire during the dancing breaks, it was truly a unique day. Third, it was a super intimate ceremony and wedding. Getting to take over the Quechee Inn with your selection of guests for the weekend makes it a unique experience. Fourth, THE FOOD. Dinner portions are big, so your guests definitely won’t go hungry. The appetizers during cocktail hour were also superb. Brunch was delicious (try the pancakes). And finally, the drinks were amazing. Passing around his and her cocktails made a huge difference for our guests. I am running out of room to write, but you will not regret getting married at the Quechee Inn. Best decision I have ever made in my life!
My husband and I had a wonderful wedding weekend together at the Quechee Inn! We had the entire Inn to ourselves and filled it with our close friends and family.
The grounds are gorgeous - so much variety for pictures, absolutely stunning and lush. Quechee’s set in a charming Vermont town - covered bridges and all - so there was plenty of variety off of the property for our guests (and for us afterwards!). The rooms have the charm of an older inn: they’re updated enough such that the amenities are sufficient, without being so modern that it subtracts from the experience of a historical inn.
As we’d anticipated from our previous visits, the food did not disappoint: a lot of wedding venues seem to be known for sacrificing quality as a result of having to prepare a ton of food — not the case here, everything was so good and our guests loved it! They even took a special request for one of our ‘late night snacks’!
We had 130 people and the tent was the perfect size. Plenty of room for dancing, heading over to the bar, moving from table to table to see people. Quechee’s wedding coordinator Britny was very knowledgeable and very sweet. There wasn’t a ton of proactive communication before/after the wedding date, but the innkeeper Rick stepped in to cover, and he was attentive and accommodative throughout the weekend.
And last but more certainly not least, we cannot say enough about the amazing staff, who were with us the whole weekend. It was never as simple as carrying out job duties — everyone had such an amazing attitude and were so sweet to be with! They anticipated needs before we even asked! Sara, Tails, Vicki, Mona, Francisco… — EVERYONE was so kind and just wanted us to have a great experience. They felt like family, and that was special. They were flexible with us setting up our decorations, and helped us take things down and pack them away before we could get to it!
Ultimately, we were thrilled to have our wedding at Quechee and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a venue that will feel like a weekend getaway!
We had our 130-person wedding at Quechee on July 3, 2022. I am SO glad that we chose The Quechee Inn for our special day. Some highlights are the warm and welcoming staff (big shout out to Tails, Mona, and Courtney), the delicious food, the beautiful and comfortable rooms, and the stunning setting. If you want a relaxed, beautiful wedding day, look absolutely no further.
The Quechee Inn is the perfect place to get married! When we were looking for a venue we knew that we wanted a place that we could rent out for the whole weekend so that we could have all of our guests at a welcome dinner Friday, and that all of our events would be at the same location. The entire weekend was an entire party and all of our guests are still raving about how it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! The Quechee Inn checked every box on our list – including having the most wonderful wedding coordinator, Emma! She was so attentive to making are day go perfectly that I had to worry about nothing the moment we arrived at the Inn, and leading up to it she answered all of my (exhaustive) questions. Get married here, you will have the best weekend of your life!
We just had our wedding at the Quechee Inn, and it was easily the best day of our lives. Emma the coordinator is amazing at her job! She makes you feel like you’re the only wedding she’s coordinating, even though they are busy. She made everything run so smoothly and completely understood our vision. The food was amazing, and we received many compliments about it. The staff was incredible to our guests. We rented out the whole inn from Friday to Sunday, and it was an epic party all nights. Rick the innkeeper is friendly and kind, and helped us throughout the weekend. The guests loved how cozy, unique, and quaint the inn was, and there is a ton for guests to do in the area. Some guests enjoyed golfing, swimming in the river, and playing yard games back at the inn. The value is exceptional at the Quechee Inn. We look forward to spending our anniversaries at the inn for the rest of our lives. Do yourselves a favor, and book your wedding here - you won’t regret it!!!
The Quechee Inn is a wonderful place at any time- beautiful location, quirky and fun buildings, great food, and the best staff but in an era of pandemic- Emma and the entire crew stepped up and we had the BEST wedding
Every details was taken care of of and every need met...the restrictions required by the State of Vermont were hardly noticed by our guests
You know you know when something is really good- well the Quechee Inn is really good
My wife and I got married at the Quechee Inn last summer and the entire experience exceeded expectations. Emma, Rick, and the entire staff were all fantastic to deal with, despite our tight 4 month planning window. They provided planning information and checklists that ensured everything went smoothly and no detail was forgotten. Emma was a master at balancing just the right amount of direction to keep our planning timeline moving, while also leaving the decision making to us without any hint of pressure. She is a professional, while also remaining personable, approachable, and was always on top of things.
This was a destination wedding for us as we’re based in CT and had many family members flying in from states in the midwest, the south, and even from abroad. Every single person had a blast and people were gushing about how much they loved the Quechee Inn. We had a Saturday wedding and guests arrived Friday for a welcome dinner we hosted. Seeing our friends and family all enjoying themselves together on the lovely grounds brought happiness well beyond what we expected when we first visited Quechee, when there was still snow on the ground and the beautiful surrounding scenery wasn’t yet in bloom.
We took advantage of the hiking trails across the street at Dewey’s Landing and organized a group hike for guests on Saturday morning after they had breakfast at the Inn. Others stayed back at the Inn and relaxed, or went into town to explore Simon Pierce or other nearby interests.
Having a weekend-long event was everything we had hoped. Rather than trying to squeeze everything into an evening, we had 3 days to spend with our guests. By the time our ceremony began Saturday afternoon, we had already talked and laughed, and spent memorable quality time with everyone. Guests who had never met before Friday were laughing together like old friends.
As people will tell you; the ceremony and reception fly by in the blink of an eye. What we’re left with is a blur of fond memories. We look back at the photos and wouldn’t change a thing. The Inn has the perfect balance of being a capable and experienced wedding venue, with a down to earth small town approachable feel. The food was delicious, the staff were exemplary and went above and beyond, from planning straight through to when we drove home Monday morning (tip: stay an extra day after your guests leave. After the whirlwind of the weekend is over, these will be some of the best moments you two spend together).
Tails, the bartender, also needs honorable mention. Every time I turned around, another guest was talking, laughing, and enjoying his company at the bar. In fact, every member of the staff; from Keegan at the desk, to Emma, Rick, Tails, Cheri, and everyone else, are all just plain awesome at what they do.
We would recommend the Quechee Inn to any couple navigating through the sea of wedding venues and looking for a place that has the experience to ensure a flawless event, and the human element in their staff to make it feel like so much more than just another wedding. The Inn, the grounds, and the surrounding area add up to make this an amazing place to get married. Highly recommended.
My wedding was almost 3 months ago, and my friends and family are still raving about the Quechee Inn! Everyone is so helpful and kind. Michelle and Colin were always available to meet and to answer questions. Michelle was calm, cool, collected the entire weekend, and made me feel so prioritized and special. Nothing was out of place, and everything was perfect. I couldn't have been happier to have had my wedding at the Quechee Inn.
Michelle and her team were fantastic! The entire weekend was a blast start to finish. It was great to have the Inn the entire weekend to accommodate family and friends. The food was incredible. We have had multiple guests commenting on it being the best wedding food they've experienced. Michelle went above and beyond throughout the weekend. We couldn't have been more please with the Inn and would recommend them to anyone.
Having our wedding at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms was the best decision we could have made! As another review stated, the start of our process was a little rocky when we were working with Theresa. Once Michelle took over the process it was better than we could have ever imagined!
Our guests loved the venue and we loved having the whole Inn filled with our friends and family. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and they handled the day of flawlessly. The even found table numbers to match the decor when I brought a set that had missing numbers!
The food was incredible, both for the rehearsal dinner (BBQ) and the wedding itself.
Michelle thought of all the little things that I would have forgotten. Things like ordering lunch the day of and late night pizza, are just a few of the examples of the way the staff went above and beyond for us.
I really can't say enough positive things about this venue!
We had a wonderful experience working with The Quechee Inn and Michelle Campbell's Team. Not only did we have a smooth and easy wedding day but we had the whole weekend to spend time with our closest family and friends because we were able to devote the entire Inn to our guests. We received so many compliments on the food both for the BBQ rehearsal and Wedding day itself. Keep in mind that dancing and music outdoors can only go until 10:30 pm due to sound ordinances however, they offer an indoor after party option and are very accommodating! We are so grateful our day went off without a hitch.
As long as Theresa doesn't work there anymore you are in the clear! We read a review awhile back that she was not as responsive with material, so we made it a point to try our best to communicate with every concern we had. Theresa would often not answer our emails, avoid our phone calls, and take days to answer us back. When making an appointment for our tasting she conveniently didn't show up or even show an interest to meet us. Actually, the only time I ever met her was when we showed up for a random visit a couple months before the wedding. When the weekend of the wedding arrived she failed to tell us that she wouldn't actually be there and I had to keep asking to see when she would arrive.
Other than the disaster of the commutation from Theresa, Michelle and the Quechee Inn were amazing. Though I wasn't in direct contact with Michelle for most of the planning, she immediately stepped in and helped out in anyway she could. She was more than apologetic and really made an effort to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best wedding. The wedding itself was amazing and everyone raved about the vibe, food, and overall amazing time they had that weekend.
Thank you Michelle and the Quechee Inn for making my wedding the best day of my life!
I honestly don't know where to begin with this review, because there is just too many amazing things we have to say about the PERFECT wedding weekend the staff at the Quechee Inn helped give us! Michelle Campbell went above and beyond coordinating our rehearsal bbq and wedding day. She took care of every detail, never getting flustered and going out of her way to help us at the drop of a hat! I am a big worrier, and thanks to Michelle I was actually able to sit back and enjoy my own wedding with my now husband because I completely trusted her! She was a saint answering all of my emails and questions, and coordinated the number of vendors and wedding details we had flawlessly. The Inn Keeper Rick was welcoming to all of our guests, along with the wonderful bartenders, servers and house keepers. From the minute we walked in until we left, the staff made everyone feel special, including the operations manager, Collin, who continuously checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our guests could not stop complimenting the gorgeous venue, delicious food, and incredible staff. We keep hearing how our wedding was one of the best weddings our friends and family have attended, and that is 100% thanks to the Quechee Inn and all they did for us! We could not be happier with our choice, and are jealous for anyone having their wedding here in the future - we wish we could do it over and over again!!! We for sure will be visiting lots over our lifetime and the Inn will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We had the most amazing time having our wedding at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm! The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we loved having the entire Inn to ourselves for the weekend to spend time with friends and family. Michelle and the rest of the staff were incredible and they made sure everything was taken care of. Everyone was extremely easy to work with, always checking in to make sure things were going smoothly, and getting us anything we might need or have forgotten. The food was delicious and there was not a single hiccup the entire weekend. All our guests had nothing but great things to say and neither do we. I would highly recommend the Quechee Inn to anyone for their wedding weekend. Cheers!!
The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm was the perfect place for our wedding. From the rehearsal dinner the night before to the breakfast the day after the wedding we could not have asked for a better experience. The staff are wonderful and helped to care for every need we had. There were many kids at our wedding and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Michelle and Colin are both great to work with, there wasn't one detail that they didn't think of. We highly recommend this venue!
The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farms is a picturesque venue, with an exceptionally talented chef and a lovely inn keeper, wait staff and bartenders. The Inn is exclusive to you and your guests for the weekend, starting Friday night after their dinner service at the restaurant is finished, until Sunday. The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is beautiful, and you can really use every part of the property to customize your weekend long wedding. That being said, get ready to plan / coordinate your wedding at the Inn completely by yourself (and with the help of your bridesmaids / Mom)! The Inn wedding coordinator, Theresa, was reviewed very highly in the past reviews I am seeing, but my husband and I were completely let down. I don't know if in the past year, they have taken on too many weddings? But the communication between Theresa and myself was beyond unsatisfactory. Phone calls would never be returned, and emails would go weeks without a response, which makes planning a wedding at the venue near impossible, and beyond frustrating. Everything in regards to the Inn was planned last minute (things that could been handled / discussed months prior) due to lack of responses from Theresa, which consumes a huge portion of your time the weeks leading up to your wedding, and takes away from the planning of other wedding components that cannot be completed ahead of time. We weren’t given a wedding questionnaire to fill out until September 1 (our wedding was September 30th), and the questionnaire included questions about everything from the ceremony time to whether or not we were doing open bar, I should have gotten this 6 months before the wedding to start filling out so that all of those elements could have been planned ahead of time and I’d have time towards the end to do things like the seating chart. Instead I had to plan every element of the wedding with the Inn, 2 weeks prior to my wedding day. Theresa was also extremely rude on several occasions to myself and my guests throughout the weekend, and there were several oversights on her part. For instance, I designed wedding programs and bought a basket to hold them in. Though I went over this with Theresa and couldn’t have been more organized or clear, the basket and the programs were never set out for the ceremony and the guests never received them. Also, the band played our cake cutting song and announced the cake cutting when I was not even in the tent, because they received the go-ahead from the Inn staff. There are numerous other examples, as there are things that you cannot do yourself on your wedding day, so you have to rely on the venue staff. We were let down on all aspects of planning the wedding at the Inn, and we were let down by several mistakes that happened during our wedding day. That being said, we had the best wedding and the best weekend of our lives, but only because we pulled it off, on our own, because of the incredible atmosphere, and because of the delicious food.
So so so happy we chose The Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm for our reception. Everything was completely wonderful and memorable. The tent opening into the field is a beautiful setting, the inn is reserved all weekend for just your guests and Theresa, the wedding planner/manager there, ( and the rest of the staff) are amazingly helpful and great at what they do.
We could not have picked a more perfect place to get married than at the Quechee Inn. Michelle and Theresa went above and beyond throughout our 9 months of planning our out of state wedding, and on the day of the wedding. The entire inn staff was amazing, from the bartender to the front desk receptionist. We can't wait to revisit the inn on future anniversaries!
The Quechee Inn made sure our wedding was excellent. Months afterwards, guests are still complimenting us on how great the wedding was and how it was the best wedding they have been to. We take the compliments, but it is really due to the amazing work Michelle, Theresa, and the entire staff did to ensure an amazing time not just for us but for all of our guests.
Michelle and Theresa were always available throughout the lead up and worked with us to make sure everything went smoothly. And we could not have been happier with how well they worked with us.
The BBQ the night before was so good (food, atmosphere, service) that if that was our wedding, we would have been quite happy. But they stepped up even higher for the wedding day. Despite pending rain, the entire staff worked hard to make everyone was relaxed and to find a way to have the ceremony outside (which we did). In short, everyone at the Inn worked that weekend as if it was their own wedding! They were all incredible.
The best compliment I can give the Inn and everyone who works there (and especially Michelle and Theresa) is that our guests still ask us to have another wedding at the Inn because they enjoyed the weekend so much! If anyone chooses the Inn for their wedding, I am confident that Michelle and Theresa will ensure that the the bride, groom, and their guests will feel the same way we feel and our guests feel: Let's do it again.
We had our wedding at Quechee Inn at the end of September 2016, and absolutely loved it. All of our guests said how much they loved the setting, and how beautiful a location it was. We were able to hold everything there - a BBQ Friday night, the ceremony and reception on Saturday, and a breakfast open to all of the guests on Sunday. The staff was fantastic, particularly Teresa and Michelle, but everyone was so nice and accommodating to us and all our guests. I cannot speak highly enough about the Quechee Inn and their commitment to making our wedding a special day, both for us and our guests.
The Quechee Inn is the perfect wedding venue! My husband and I knew we wanted the exclusive wedding weekend and we wanted all the events to be outside. The Quechee Inn is so very picturesque. When we booked them, we had only seen it during the winter. When we finally saw it just before our June wedding we almost didn't recognize it - the grounds are meticulously cared for and all our guests were impressed. All the food was AMAZING! We chose to have the BBQ rehearsal dinner at the inn the night before and our family and friends are still talking about those ribs! Lastly, Michelle and Theresa are the best wedding coordinators I have ever encountered. They thought of every last detail, put up with us constantly asking them questions and changing our minds about things, and took care of every little thing the entire wedding weekend. I loved that they handled all the decorating so we could enjoy our time with our family and friends. They made everything look better than I ever could have imagined. All the staff are super helpful and incredibly friendly. They made us and our guests feel very comfortable. None of us wanted to leave when the weekend was over! I could go on and on about how wonderful this venue is. We looked at venues that would have saved us a few thousand dollars but I would choose the Quechee Inn again and again (and we paid for the entire wedding ourselves so that is saying something!).
Our daughter was married at the Quechee Inn at Marshfield Farm, Quechee, VT in September 2014. This wedding was amazing, not just from our standpoint, but from the view of all of the guests who attended this weekend event. Many, many people told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Michelle Campbell and Tori Martorina did an incredible job of fulfilling all our wishes and then adding their own touches to make the wedding even better than we anticipated. Everything was beyond perfect…the apple cider and doughnuts on the veranda before the ceremony, the ceremony complete with flowers in sap buckets on maple trees framing the bride and groom, cocktails on the veranda with a fall signature drink and beer in a wheelbarrow, the Good Time Singers blue grass group, the tent reception with beautifully displayed homemade pies and a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream cart, smores outside by the firepit, and the after party in the inn that went until 1 AM. In addition to the actual event, our family and friends loved taking over the inn for a whole weekend of togetherness and love. This truly was the dream wedding of our daughter and her husband. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you, thank you, thank you Quechee Inn for giving us a weekend of beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
We had our September wedding at the Quechee Inn at Marshland Farm and couldn't be happier with the staff, coordinators, innkeeper and overall venue. We had a chance of rain the day of the wedding and the venue had two ceremony set ups for us, outside and under the tent, and waited til the absolute last second to make the call. Even under the tent the ceremony was terrific.
I've had so many compliments about the food, the ambiance of the inn and the staff. I can't thank them enough for their flexibility with the rain. It was truly a phenomenal weekend in Vermont!
We decided to make our Wedding a weekend (destination weekend for most) of fun...so we decided to have a BBQ on Friday night as our rehearsal dinner and giving all of our out of town guests a place to gather and have some really awesome food.. we also held a Brunch her on Sunday AM after the Wedding... centrally located place for all wedding guest to meet and have a awesome meal... the service was also great, always there to help and get what you need.
Special thank you to Michelle Campbell and Chef Ed
The Quechee Inn was an easy decision when my now husband and I found it for our wedding venue. We wanted an outdoor wedding and the tent over the brick patio was perfect. It was great to have the Inn available for family and close friends to stay all weekend. We really had the entire Inn for only our party and it was great! Catering and bar service were included with the rental and they provided many food choices and options to choose from depending on wedding size and budget. The day of the wedding the dinner and appetizers were delicious and more than we expected. Michelle (the wedding coordinator) was amazing to work with and she was extremely helpful leading up to the big day. All staff members were great to work with - especially Tom our head bartender! The only small hiccup of the weekend was when some of the plumbing was not working for an hour or so saturday morning. There was very little water pressure. But the problem was fixed shortly after we notified the front desk. I highly recommend the Quechee Inn if you are looking for a laid back, country venue! The tent, location and Inn are quaint, beautiful and a perfect Vermont wedding location!
Beautiful country setting with gourmet food and excellent service. The venue seems a bit pricey at first but includes food, drink, service, tent, dishware, etc. We had a wonderful time and our wedding coordinator made sure everything went off without a hitch and was gorgeously executed. I highly recommend this venue. We also had a large wedding so the cost for smaller weddings is more affordable.
