My husband Pat and I recently got married at The Ranch on July 12th, and we truly loved everything about our special day!
As very Type B individuals, planning our wedding with Wed...gewood made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. We did have a few initial concerns because our main point of contact changed three times over our 1.5-year planning process. We started with Ingrid, then switched to Tyler, and finally transitioned to Nicole at the last minute. While we originally hoped to work with just one person from start to finish, all of them were absolutely amazing!
Tyler was incredible from the start. Since we worked with him for the longest stretch, we saw firsthand how professional and accommodating he was, especially with unforeseen circumstances.
We were also thrilled that the venue is dog-friendly! Having our pup in our ceremony meant the world to us, and Nicole, Monica, and Bri treated our dog like absolute royalty, which we loved!
Nicole was an incredible coordinator, and we are so glad we had the opportunity to work with her. Even though we were only paired with her for a few weeks leading up to the big day, she was extremely professional, ensured everything went according to plan, patiently answered every crazy question, and handled all our last-minute accommodations with ease. On top of that, she managed our crazy-large 21+ person wedding party like a pro! She brought high energy, was super personable, and our wedding party couldn't stop complimenting her performance at both the rehearsal and the wedding.
Our banquet managers, Monica and Bri, were also incredibly supportive all night long. They went above and beyond to make sure Pat and I had everything we needed throughout the evening.
The open bar was so worth it! However, we did have one miscommunication regarding bar times. We previously brought up a concern to Tyler about the open bar closing 30 minutes early at another Wedgewood venue. He assured us that rule only applied to certain locations and our bar could run until our 10:00 PM end time. Ultimately, our bar still closed at 9:30 PM, which was a bit disappointing—though we aren't sure if that detail just got lost in translation during the last-minute coordinator change. Regardless, our guests had a fantastic time!
While some recommended vendors can be on the pricier side, we appreciated the freedom to customize or drop vendors to fit our needs. Here is how our experience went:
Flower Divas (Florist): So worth it! They created beautiful ceremony florals and centerpieces. They worked within my budget and repurposed arrangements throughout the venue to save us money.
I Do Wedding Cakes (Bakery): Absolutely perfect with zero complaints! Delicious and looked great.
CCE Entertainment (DJ & Photo Booth):
DJ: DJ Aaron was a great MC with incredible energy! Planning felt a little hectic—we only met twice (once a year prior with Leo, the owner, and once the week of with Aaron after a rescheduled meeting)—and we wished a few more top-ten songs played. However, open dancing ran behind schedule (not his fault!), so we understand. Overall, he was great!
Photo Booth: Our guests had a blast and I loved customizing our photo strip! My only critique was that the lighting and photo quality were lower than advertised on their website and Instagram, but everyone still had a fun time.
All in all, we are so grateful to the entire team at The Ranch for making our wedding day unforgettable!
