Imagine a wedding celebration that transports you to a more elegant time: a stunning 1920s-era ballroom, sparkling chandeliers, candlelight and a wait-staff ready to serve. It’s all possible at The Read House Hotel, where we’ve been crafting dream weddings for nearly a century. With a variety of distinctive spaces for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions, our experienced wedding planners can easily bring your vision to life. The Read House’s Silver Ballroom is an ideal venue for large dinner banquets of up to 306 guests, complete with ornate silver mouldings and Waterford Crystal chandeliers from 1926. Couples can also book our spacious Centennial Room, and historic Green Room, which are perfect for ceremonies, cocktail parties and dinners for up to 250 people.

Everyone at the read house is sooo kind! Their newly renovated ballroom made for the most beautiful wedding venue! They do everything they can to make you’re wedding amazing!

We booked The Read House because it was a little ways away from outdoor venue and a bit more refined for our wedding night. After accidentally locking ourselves out while carrying/being carried over the threshold and getting new keys (oops), we had a perfect evening. Friendly staff and beautiful decor. A very classy feel.

The Read House Historic Inn & Suites oozes vintage charm and fit our wedding style perfectly. The Silver Ballroom, where we had our ceremony and reception, is absolutely stunning. Most of the guests are still commenting about how it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had attended, and the venue played a large part in this experience. The event manager on site is amazing and worked with me from start to finish. He was incredibly detail-oriented and made sure that everything was fabulous and exactly what we wanted.

Loved it! They have valet parking, a top %5 prime steakhouse, a Starbucks, awesome bellhops, nice rooms, chandeliers, and breakfast in bed.
