We could not have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding ceremony and reception. It was the most beautiful space for our small and intimate event. Stephanie was a dream to work with. She was so accommodating and had so many great ideas and suggestions for our event. She sprinkled pixie dust over everything. It turned out so beautifully. As for service, we had a great group of event staff on the day. They consistently checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. They even reminded me to take a deep breath before walking down the aisle when I was nervous and told me everything was going to be perfect. I could not have asked for a better place to host our event or a better group of people to work with. They made our day magic.
Overall we had a great wedding at this venue. We were the first wedding to be had on the second level of this event space, most people book the third. Because of this we had to work with the venue coordinator, Abi, on some of the logistics. We were able to do a room flip in about 45 minutes while guests mingled in the bar area. I did have to email Abi twice after not receiving a response for two weeks. Other than those occasions she was always on time, reachable, and very quick two respond.
The food was absolutely amazing, however our food was cold due to a 45 minute delay in our ceremony. I only wish that they had a way to keep the food warm for everyone. We ended up doing a customized menu surf and turf so the venue is willing to work with you on your menu.
If I had one word of advice for future brides it would be to pay attention to the minimum. We ended up paying around $1300 in just "fluff." because we did not meet our min. I wish we would have just done the unlimited bar package so at least we wouldn't have wasted so much money.
We had our son's wedding rehearsal at this beautiful event space. We couldn't have been happier with the top notch service and the food was outstanding. We wanted to find a place that would make this experience the most special for our bride and groom and we were very pleased. We had numerous compliments on the space and how good the food is here. A big thank you to Alexis for helping with planning and details of our event. I highly recommend The Reserve Event Space for any upcoming gathering or party you are planning if you want attention to every detail to make your evening the best experience.
What a wonderful experience having our wedding on the second floor of The Reserve Event Space, above the Rockhill Grille. Alexis Miller guided us through the process of planning the evening and selecting the menu. She was a joy to work with and everyone loved the food. We went with many, many appetizers. They were all amazing, but we should have ordered more grilled cheese & tomato soup; also the crab cakes.:) John Burdick is quite the mixologist! He worked with us to create 3 specialty cocktails. They were all popular, but I'm pretty partial to the "Mrs. Whiting". It was clearly the crowd favorite! And John handed one to me as soon as I stepped off the elevator! The k.c. skyline outside the large garage door windows was the perfect backdrop for the evening. We held our ceremony and reception in the same space. We decorated the doorway with curtains, eucalyptus and fairy lights during the vows, then opened them to the other side where the 2nd bar was. They provided the tablecloths and I had 4 square cakes for centerpieces on the larger round tables. We had several bar top tables with sugar cookies on them. We had plenty of room for an acoustic band and dancing. The entire staff worked hard to seamlessly keep the event going so we could focus on our wedding and our guests. We could not be happier how everything turned out! We would highly recommend The Reserve for your event!
