General Manager
Beth-Anne Norman Driskill is the General Manager of The Retreat at Crabtree Falls, a family-owned mountain wedding and getaway destination nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
Although Beth-Anne grew up in Northern Virginia, The Retreat has been part of her life since childhood. Her grandmother lived on the property, and Beth-Anne spent countless days here exploring the mountains, playing along the river, and making memories that created a lifelong connection to this special place.
In 2016, Beth-Anne returned to Nelson County and became an integral part of carrying her family’s vision for The Retreat forward. Today, she oversees the guest experience, property operations, weddings and events, and the continued growth of the property.
Weddings are an especially meaningful part of her work. Beth-Anne works personally with couples to help create wedding weekends that feel beautiful, relaxed, and completely their own. From lodging and property logistics to vendor recommendations, ceremony locations, receptions, and the little details in between, she loves helping couples make the most of everything The Retreat has to offer.
With on-site accommodations, mountain and river views, multiple ceremony locations, The Pinnacle Ridge Lodge, and the Blue Ridge Pavilion, The Retreat offers couples more than a wedding day—it gives them an entire weekend together in the mountains.
For Beth-Anne, The Retreat is much more than a business. It is a place woven throughout her life, and helping couples make some of their own most important memories here is one of the best parts of calling it home.

We had a relaxing anniversary weekend away at The Retreat. We stayed in the Tye River glamping tent. The creekside location was perfect! The king bed was very comfortable and the tent had everything we could have needed including a Keurig for q...
uick coffee each morning. If we had wanted to cook our meals there, we easily could have as they had everything we would have needed. The private bathroom was conveniently just across the driveway from our tent. It was beautifully designed and included all linens and toiletries. The owners were easy to communicate with and gave thorough instructions and information throughout the booking process. We hiked Humpback Rocks (about a 25 minute drive) and Crabtree Falls (.5 mile up th road). We rode out to try the food and drink at Three Notched, Lovingston Winery, Devil's Backbone, and Blue Mountain. We would highly recommend this location for a serene getaway.

There’s a neighboring cabin only a few feet off the back porch. Luckily no one was there while we were staying but if we didn’t know the neighbors that would be a little too close for comfort.

ring by the fire with glasses of wine, playing games late into the evening, cooking and sharing meals at the long communal table, and enjoying quiet moments on the decks surrounded by nature.
I stayed in Annie’s cabin, which felt perfectly warm, cozy, and intimate - a true little retreat. It’s great that all the cabins, yurts, and the lodge are within walking distance of each other, making it easy to connect and spend time together.
The area offers so many fun activities: we loved playing pickleball, exploring local breweries, and trying out the delicious breakfast and lunch spots nearby. The scenery is breathtaking, with waterfalls, trails, and forested views.
We had such a fabulous, rejuvenating time and can’t wait to return to this peaceful oasis. It’s the perfect spot for families, friends, or anyone looking to unplug, unwind, and create lasting memories.

ix of wilderness and comforts of home she needed to have a relaxing time. The Retreat at Crabtree Falls is nestled deep into the Blue Ridge Mountains and far away from hustle and bustle. Not knowing what to expect we found the Three Ridges tent fully equipped for our visit. The deck box had everything I would normally pack for cooking and cleaning up. The tent was spacious and equipped with microwave, Keurig, air fryer and heater. We enjoyed a campfire on the patio and rocking on the deck with our coffee. We were also treated to a nighttime thunderstorm and were as dry and comfy as could be. The king bed is comfy and a good quality mattress. We did find our tent seemed to be at the far limits of the WiFi and would come and go but was solid the closer we got to the lodge as cell service was non existent out here. Each tent site has its own private keyed entry heated and cooled bath house just a few short steps away. Ours had a huge walk in shower, heated floors, outlets and thick fluffy towels that my wife approved of. We even got to meet Beth on our way out! The resort is almost walking distance to Crabtree Falls and recommend it but add caution as it is somewhat strenuous and steep so be warned. Would definitely do this again maybe in late Sept early Oct. Next time would bring a cooler and pack more food/drinks in as the camp store at Montebello campground has limited hours and only necessities.
