Situated in Fort George Island, FL, The Ribault Club is a historic venue that caters to weddings. A waterfront venue nestled in 100 acres of picturesque countryside, couples will find this country club to be a haven of tranquility and southern charm. The Ribault Club was initially established in 1928 to accommodate the wealthy and powerful people of the era. Designed by renowned Swiss architect Maurice Fatio, the building is included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Now part of the Fort George Island Cultural State Park, the club has been restored to its original splendor and hosts special events and occasions. Guests can enjoy this waterfront location with activities such as kayaking, deep-sea fishing and horseback riding, or visit nearby Amelia Island.
Both indoor and outdoor event spaces are available within this 16,000 square foot property. Couples will fall in love with the venue's stunning architecture, original terrazzo floors, and soaring ceilings. Reaching up to 12ft, and flooded with sunlight from arched french doors, rooms feel airy and spacious. The club also offers a veranda, where couples can host their reception dinner or simply allow guests to mingle while enjoying the gorgeous Florida climate.
The Ribault Club can accommodate both intimate weddings and grander affairs with a capacity of 25-400 guests. The team allows couples to bring in outside caterers, providing them with access to two kitchens. They may also bring in their own selection of alcohol, without corkage fees. The venue can provide a set number of items such as chairs and tables. Drop-down screens are available should guests wish to show a video montage. The club can provide a list of vendors that they have worked with previously. This includes services such as bartenders, catering, rentals, and wedding attire, in addition to recommending a list of nearby accommodation locations. If I could give the Ribault Club 10 stars, I would. My husband and I got married at there March 2024 and we can’t say enough good things about our experience there. From the first visit, Marie made us feel like family. She has an incredible passion for what she does. Ribault was the first place we visited and during our other venue tours, we couldn’t help but compare every place to it. From start to finish, everything was a breeze and Marie along with the staff there treated us like we were the only wedding there that month when in reality the had 3 in the same weekend! You would have never known. We had the most perfect day and our guests kept staring in awe at the beauty of the venue and grounds. It truly embodies the “Old Florida” southern charm and we couldn’t recommend it enough.
Marie was wonderful to work with! She is so professional yet makes sure to make you feel special in all the steps leading up to your day. The Ribault Club is a beautiful venue! Our guests loved the shade of the big oak tree during our 90-degree ceremony, making it, not just bearable, but comfortable. The building itself is gorgeous and was a beautiful backdrop. Highly recommend the Ribault Club!
The Ribault Club was the perfect venue for our wedding!! I had the best experience with Marie, the venue coordinator. She gave us a great initial tour and answered all of our questions. She was also there every step of the way after we booked to help answer any questions about the venue.
This space is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect back drop for our special day. We had our ceremony outside and the large oak tree was so beautiful we didn’t need any other decorations. And the indoor reception space was great to fit all of our guests :) I also loved the option to bring in all of our vendors which helped cut down on costs for the weddingg!

The Ribault club was everything I dreamed of for my wedding! I would give the event space a 10/10. All of my guests loved it! And a wedding in November was the perfect weather. I did have issues with the wedding coordinator assigned to me by the venue. I feel like there was lack of communication, the coordinator was not used to working with a bride on a budget, and was not as helpful/involved as I would have liked for what I paid for ( I paid for the middle tier). I had to do most research and planning on my own because the coordinator had minimal recommendations. If I had to do it over again, I would book a coordinator just for the day of. Overall I loved the venue and my wedding turned out great! I would recommend the venue to any bride looking for a place to have their wedding
I booked the Ribault Club 11 months ago and I was married 4/2/22. Since the day I met Ms. Marie (GM) and booked, I did not experience anything but support and full encouragement. No matter how many questions or concerns I had, Marie responded in a timely manner. Summer Perkins was my coordinator (she works for RC), and I can’t brag about her enough! Everything went more than smoothly. My wedding day was actually very rainy most of the time, and the gnats were horrible. BUT, after a lot of contemplation, I changed the ceremony from being outside to indoors. This was not my “dream” per say, but it was stunning. I don’t regret anything! Fortunately, we were able to go outside for the reception and I have been getting nonstop compliments about the beauty of the Ribault club, and how much fun my guests had regardless of the weather. I chose Ribault because I knew even if I had a “worst case scenario,” such as rain on my big day, the venue I would be big enough to accommodate. I ended up having at least 150 guests, and it worked out beautifully. I can’t thank the Ribault Club enough. I would do the exact day all over again. Also, the gnats go away after dark!
The Ribault Club exceeded my expectations for any wedding venue. As someone who grew up in Florida, I know March weather can be unpredictable. I loved the flexibility of the full space. As a Saturday wedding we had the full grounds for our use and I loved knowing that if we needed to be inside, the French doors would allow the space to feel airy and natural. Luckily (even with a little chill and wind) our ceremony was able to happen outside under the beautiful oak tree. No matter the weather, if you book the Ribault Club, your wedding will be amazing. Along with an incredible space, the staff is amazing. Marie was incredible from day 1 of putting our deposit down, to our wedding day. Even her emails were perky and kind! We opted to work with Summer, the in-house wedding planner, and I have no idea how I would have managed without her. She was fantastic at contacting vendors, communicating what she needed from me and keeping me sane, especially in the last month. She went above and beyond to make our day perfect, from making sure a vendor would set up after some morning rain to helping add some last minute candles to our center pieces. I could go on forever about how awesome Summer and the whole Ribault Club was! Thank you!!!!!
Where do I start! The Ribault Club is truly a hidden gem of Jacksonville. My now husband and I absolutely fell in love the first time we visited and compared all other venues to The Ribault Club. The large outdoor backyard, oak tree, and flexibility with bringing in vendors really allowed our wedding dreams to come true. Unfortunately we were a covid wedding and had to postpone from 2020 to 2021 and Marie and staff we so helpful and accommodating! Every guest at our wedding commented about the beautiful venue and how perfect it was for a December wedding! Cannot recommend The Ribault Club enough.
I have been lucky enough to DJ and MC for a few weddings at this incredible historic venue. I have also attended several weddings there as guest. I DJed there again this past Saturday and it was a truly magical night. The venue features a number of great indoor and outdoor areas for dancing, eating, cocktail, etc. The dining hall is gorgeous with ample seating for groups large and small. The trees and nearby marsh are a photographic goldmine for capturing lifelong memories on film. The staff are a pleasure to deal with. Huge kudos to Summer, one of their in-house planners, for making sure my most recent event was nothing short of perfect.
I could go on but rest assured that Ribault Club is truly a premier wedding and event venue in Northeast Florida!
From when I first stumbled across photos of The Ribault Club, I knew this was where I wanted to have our wedding. Guests could not stop raving about how perfect and how unique of a setting it is! The areas for getting ready were perfect for my bridal party, and the groomsmen even had their own space with a bar to get ready in. Marie was great in assisting my husband and I with all of our logistics and was there throughout our wedding day to ensure everything was how it needed to be! My husband and I cannot recommend The Ribault Club enough!
My husband and I fell in love with The Ribault Club and it's old Florida charm the moment we arrived. The old oaks draped in Spanish moss and palms with the historic club were just what we didn't realize we wanted for our wedding. The Ribault Club was easily one of our best vendors we worked with throughout the wedding planning process. Marie, Madi, and Haley all were so wonderful, quick to help, and went above and beyond our expectations. Our guests are still talking about what a beautiful night our wedding was and we totally agree!
We had our wedding at The Ribault Club on a Friday and it was even more perfect than we could have hoped. From our initial tour of the venue, it was love at first sight. We visited multiple times between that initial visit and our big day and were awe-struck by the natural beauty and the Old Florida feel of the estate every single time. The grand oak was the idyllic backdrop for our ceremony, and the ballroom was a lovely setting for our reception.
We were looking for a venue that was both affordable and gorgeous, and The Ribault Club fit the bill flawlessly. We loved being able to pick our own vendors (hello, taco bar!) and having enough space to dance the night away. They also provided all of our tables and chairs, which really helped us in keeping the cost and additional vendor involvement to a minimum.
The staff was always professional and warm to us. We mainly worked with Marie, Madi, and Deborah, who were all welcoming and accommodating. Emails and phone calls were always answered promptly. They were flexible with us and did their best to ensure our day went exactly as we pictured it.
And last but not least, our day-of coordinator, Summer, knocked it out of the park. We went with the in-house coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made. She was so attentive and ensured our special day ran smoothly from start to finish. Her knowledge of the venue and her experience in wedding coordination were apparent from day one. We could not have had such a perfect, stress-free experience without her, and we are beyond grateful for her and the whole Ribault Club staff.
If you’re considering The Ribault Club as your wedding venue, you can’t go wrong with them. The grounds alone guarantee a gorgeous wedding and their staff will make sure you have a beautiful, unique day!

We absolutely loved having our wedding here! Aside from being a beautiful place, it was affordable and we were able to choose our own vendors which saved us even more money. There are several areas to have your ceremony and reception, we did an outside ceremony at their oak tree followed by an indoor dinner and dancing back outside. The staff was super helpful especially their day of wedding coordinator, Summer.
Our daughter fell in love with this venue the moment we parked and walked up it. What a gorgeous location and everything she dreamed of for her wedding day came true! She was married under the stunning oak tree, and dinner and dancing all took place outside. All of the out-of-town guests raved about how beautiful the house and grounds were. Thank you to all the staff at Ribault for helping make our daughter's wedding day a dream come true!

I was absolutely IN LOVE with this venue. It's strongly reliant on the weather being nice because the true beauty is on the grounds. I had the wedding of my dreams at this venue and I couldn't be happier with everything.
Decorating restrictions but beautiful and spacious.
We had our dream wedding here this past weekend. Everything was beautiful! We had the entire ceremony and reception outdoors, which was a risk, but the weather was beautiful. We used Angie as a day-of-coordinator and she was absolutely wonderful!! So sweet, always checking in on us, and making sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot say enough good things! If you're looking for a historic, outdoor venue it is inexpensive and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous.
My husband and I absolutely loved this venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! We knew right away that it was the place we wanted to get married at. We loved the big oak tree in the back, and we loved all the greenery outside, as well as the simplicity inside. It was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't have been happier! The staff was also really great and a big help!
We hosted both our ceremony and reception at The Ribault Club and we were so glad we did! We didn't really have any problems with communicating with the staff, and they helped us as much as they can to help our event go smoothly. We also loved the fact that we can pick and choose our own vendors so we can incorporate our own taste. We actually did not use the coordinator services from them so we can't really speak much on that. Otherwise, we were extremely happy with the way everything turned out! The Ribault Club is a great venue if you're wanting a somewhat "blank canvas" to really customize your wedding!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Thr Ribault Club and I could not have been happier. The setting is beautiful and the team there was so willing to work with us and make sure we had exactly what we needed.
While the venue was a beautifully preserved southern style plantation with a nature preserve set as a backdrop, the staff (specifically the wedding coordinator) was ill prepared, uninformed and incompetent. Susan, the coordinator for our special day just added unnecessary stress and confusion. I highly recommend anyone considering this venue to try and book a private, separate coordinator than the one suggested by the venue.
Absolutely LOVED getting married at the Ribault Club. The price was inexpensive in comparison to most Jacksonville venues, and you just can't beat the charm of the live oak tree, spacious ballroom, and open windows. The ONLY downside of the entire experience was hurricane Irma bringing in lots of mosquitos. Unfortunately mosquito treatment is not included in the cost of the venue's maintenance fees, so we had to come out of pocket for that. Again though, this was a minor issue. Chelsi was great in helping us to secure the venue/rehearsal time and during our final walk-through. She was thorough and always answered my e-mails in a timely manner. We had the most amazing wedding. Would definitely recommend this venue to other engaged couples in the area.
I unfortunately was one of the few who had a wedding that was impacted by hurricane irma. However I have never seen such unprofessionalism in a venue before . Specifically the manager Chrissy is not the most pleasant and seemed to care less about my feelings . I was informed 24 hours before my wedding day that the venue would be closed and my wedding had to be canceled. Unfortunately I was informed via email in an unsympathetic manner. Not even a recommendation of what I could do in this type of emergency, or even suggestions for rescheduling . She just like that left us hanging with little to no notice . We weren't even reassured that we would be getting our money back. It was beyond unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone. Luckily our wedding was moved to a far more beautiful location and we had an extraordinary wedding at the winterbourn inn. I couldn't be happier that the ribault club canceled on us, it was a blessing in disguise.

The Ribault Club is a perfect venue for couples who wish to have a unique wedding. With little supplied and hardly any rules regarding vendors, it's easy to make your day custom to you. I did choose a coordinator package with the club but in hindsight I don't think it was really worth it. I also didn't care for the "relief" coordinator who was supposedly in charge of breaking down my decor but instead watched my maid of honor and her mom do all the work. She even made ME (the BRIDE) take trash out to the dumpster down by the road because we could not leave anything in the club. The staff was very helpful with preparing for the wedding but not so much with breaking it down. Overall, the Ribault Club was a great venue and I would recommend it to other engaged friends.
I worked with Angie as my day of coordinator and she is so kind and thorough that it put me at much ease for the wedding. The venue is of course stunning and so organic. Our only complaint was clean up.

Completely gorgeous, with tons of Florida charm. We had a beautiful outdoor wedding, and the wedding planner helped take care of all the details with us. Since we were allowed to use the entire facility, there was plenty of space for everything we needed. Highly recommend.
We hosted our wedding at the Ribault Club on Friday, July 24th 2015. After looking at well over 15 venues throughout the greater Jacksonville and St. Augustine area we settled on this venue for the price and flexibility. The Ribault Club is hands down the most affordable venue in Jacksonville and includes Chivari chairs, tables, and a beautiful backdrop to make any vision come to life. With the flexibility given, we book a Friday event to cut the price in half and then loved that we were able to bring in our own food and decorations. We ended up having a food truck which was an unbelievable hit, so delicious, and such a money saver! Overall, I give the club 5 stars for the location, ample parking, price, and value included within the rental fee. Where my review drops is the people you will have to interact with at the club to make your vision come to life. Chrissy, the one and only event manager currently on staff, was distant and difficult at times. It was frustrating not being able to get the answers I needed to have peace of mind for our event which is the job of a venue event manager. I regret having to write this in a review but want others to be aware. Should this overlooked? I would say absolutely! Despite the customer service and lack of response, it was still the best venue choice and our wedding was so GORGEOUS! I wouldn't change anything in the world. Just be prepared to put in a little more effort with this vendor than with others you may book. I hope this is helpful in making your upcoming wedding decisions!
The Ribault Club was beautiful for my wedding. They are very flexible and allowed me to customize my wedding in every way by hiring my own vendors. The space was perfect for both the ceremony and the reception. There were a couple of drawbacks to be aware of when booking The Ribault Club. My wedding was in June. It was very hot inside the reception hall. Our reception was from 7pm-11pm, and it remained very hot even with the air on. Our cake ended up melting because of the heat and I was very sad about that. The other thing to be aware of is the bugs. There are a lot of bugs outside, so I recommend a bug spray station for your guests. Tip- Hire vendors that are very familiar with working with this site and who are familiar with working with each other! The wedding planner comes highly recommended, but honestly she caused me a lot of unnecessary stress on the day of the wedding and I would not use her again. Overall, I would recommend the Ribault Club for a spring, fall, or winter wedding and with an outside wedding planner.
We found the Ribault Club to be the perfect location for our outdoor wedding in early November, 110+ guests. There was ample space for the bridal party to get ready. Ceremony under the tree was perfect. Lorna was our contact, she was fabulous and clearly had a handle on everything.
When weather became a challenge, the variety of rooms made for great backups. Lorna worked well with our vendors (brought our own alcohol, Chef's Garden for catering, Brooke Raulerson and Aubri Bleil at Artistic Florist for floral and day-of planning, Christina Karst Photography, St. John's Illuminations lit the trees and dance floor, and Casey Powell and Sara Jane Maples at Modern Classic Beauty for hair and makeup) and she gave good advice and structure at our pre-wedding meeting. Ultimately, our guests were blown away with the beautiful setting.
Cons: roads to the island were a challenge.

The Ribault Club is the perfect venue for a wedding if you are looking for something intimate and naturally beautiful. The isolated location provides intimacy and the mixture of giant oak trees, palm trees (and path to the water) is so naturally beautiful you won't need to jazz-up the place with over the top decor and flowers.
Hotels and banquet halls pale in comparison to this place. We had our ceremony outside under the tree, the dance floor outside under strings of lights and the food stations and dining tables both inside and out providing a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where everyone could mingle about.
The Ribault Club provides a gorgeous backdrop for every single photo taken during the wedding. Between the charm of the building itself and the richness of being surrounded by nature (not cars, streets, and more buildings), beautiful photos are effortless.
The staff and wedding coordinator are beyond helpful and do everything in their power to make your day special. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. Our girls got ready in the several rooms upstairs while the groomsmen had a room downstairs. It was the perfect set up all the way around. You will start and finish your wedding day stress free. I had so much FUN that day thanks to the staff at Ribault Club.
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for my wedding. The Ribault Club was simply perfect. We also used their wedding coordinator services and if I could give Chrissy 6 stars, I would. We had a destination wedding and she made sure everything was exactly how I pictured it. She listened to me and gave us a day we will never forget.
I found the Ribault Club in a magazine and couldn't have picked a more perfect setting. We got married under the oak tree and took pictures on the beach. It was all very southern and perfect!
The club requires that you hire a wedding planner which I thought would be helpful since I was planning the wedding long distance. However, although my planner came very highly recommended, she was less than helpful and truly caused more stress than was necessary on the day of my wedding. She is the only reason I did not give this 5 stars.
The Ribault Club's beauty speaks for itself. The grounds are incredible and the clubhouse is just perfect, especially for brides who want a Southern plantation feel. The space is large enough for a large wedding, but small enough for a smaller wedding, because different areas can be used. Lorna and Chrissy, the coordinators there, are wonderful. They were always responsive, which is helpful for couples like us who were planning from out of town. Lorna and Chrissy were also knowledgable, experienced, and provided a lot of suggestions and advice. We got married on Sunday, which was a better value. I only gave a lower rating on flexibility because being in a state park, it seemed hands were tied on certain regulations and restrictions. The only other downfall of the Club is that it is quite far from guest accommodations. We were initially worried about the long drive for our guests, but it was not a problem. It also feels more private because it is on state park land so is secluded by trees. I highly recommend this beautiful venue.
From the moment my husband and I saw the ribault we knew it was exactly what we had been looking for! We also really liked that we were able to pick our vendors freely and not have to pick from a preferred vendor list. They were very accommodating! The woman from the office even emailed me and told me there was a Sunday bride and would I be interested in splitting the dance floor and lighting with her!! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to get married!
Beautiful southern country charm setting. Looked all over florida for a big oak tree for the ceremony and it was wonderful. Wedding planners were top and their recommendations were fabulous!

If you love an outdoor wedding The Ribault Club is amazing. The tall palm trees share the yard with the most beautiful oak trees. We got married under the tree that is behind the club and the pictures turned out great.
The Ribault Club on Ft. George Island outside of Jacksonville is a dramatic, lovely setting for a wedding and reception. We knew it was the place we wanted for our wedding the moment we saw it, and our guests were just as impressed with it as we were. The building is a carefully restored late 1920s country club, in a beautiful waterfront setting. The staff was a pleasure to work with.

It was a nice indoor/outdoor venue. There's a nice breeze because it's on the island but not too much of a beachy feel.;After it rains biting gnats come out. We were constantly applying bug spray!
The Ribault Club is a beautiful wedding site. It is located on the water and offers a lot of different places to take pictures.;The Ribault itself is expensive and only includes tables and chairs. Despite the high cost it will charge you 'vendor fees.' For example you book a $500 dance floor but the Ribault will charge you an extra $150 to get it put in their building. Also if you're wedding is on Saturday everything has to be out by Sunday morning which will make all of your vendors much more expensive. Finally in our case the staff at the Ribault Club is not very easy to work with.
The mansion is gorgeous and classic. There is plenty of space (we rented the entire downstairs). Outside is classic southern, Florida surroundings. There is the water, palm trees and massive oaks. We were married under one of the oak trees. The room for the women to get ready is really nice as well. We just fell in love with the site as soon as we saw it.
Guests had option to go inside or outside. The outside was beautiful, fitting perfectly with our classic southern themed wedding;Be careful what time of year you get married. The flies tend to get worse during the hotter months
It is a remote location with no traffic or other events going on. Beautiful property with big old oak trees. We had both the ceremony and the reception there.;Since it's off the beaten path a bit, it may be a little difficult for out of towners to spot. Balloons or signs indicating the entrance would have been helpful for us. It also will take longer to get to than one might think since the closest hotels are in Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island.
