I am a non-denominational officiant providing personalized ceremonies from simple to custom, religious or not, that reflect the wishes, beliefs and traditions of the bridal couple. I enjoy getting to know couples and working with them to create ceremonies that represent them and their relationship including, multi-cultural ceremonies, diverse beliefs and unique requests. All couples are welcome. My belief... We are ALL creatures of love. As such, we desire and need to show love and, in turn, be loved. I help couples meaningfully express this love and commitment to each other. I also guide and assist them in publicly announcing and celebrating their love and union with family and friends.

I also guide and assist them in publicly announcing and celebrating their love and union with family and friends through custom written ceremonies that reflect their relationship and personal beliefs. I am equally supportive of same-sex couples as well as couples that may be of differing ethnic backgrounds, or religious beliefs. Traditional or not' religious or nonreligious, all ceremonies are special.

wanted to include in the ceremony, provided feedback and guided the bride and groom with creating a meaningful ceremony. Robbin was very involved and took time to learn about the bride and groom. Robbin nicely incorporated details about the bride and groom into the ceremony. Robbin weaved in pertinent statements that were good for the bride and groom to hear along with wedding guests that had been married a while. The bride, groom and I received numerous compliments from the wedding guests about how good and meaningful the ceremony was. Robbin did a great job facilitating the wedding rehearsal. The wedding party left the rehearsal knowing what they needed to do and say on the day of the wedding. Robbin’s knowledge and efforts around the ceremony truly made for a wonderful experience.

There are many aspects of the ceremony that most couples never think to take into consideration simply because they have never been in this situation. In fact, the first time we'd been face-to-face was at the rehearsal the day before! We both live out of state but came into Michigan for the wedding. Robbin had met with us on Zoom a few times beforehand, first to discuss what we wanted for the ceremony and, several weeks later, to go through his plan and speech in more detail--a touch we very much appreciated. He was curious and interested in our personalities and the story of our relationship, eager to incorporate readings we wanted, and ready with advice and guidance on the flow of the ceremony.
Robbin has a worksheet for couples to fill out before the first meeting with some information about what they want in the ceremony and details about their relationship: how they met, what they love about each other, challenges, etc. All that got woven into the ceremony in a thoughtful and natural way. He was funny but didn't steal the spotlight--the occasional jokes showed understanding of our relationship and, if anything, heightened the focus on us.
He was so warm and friendly every time we spoke and seems genuinely happy for us.
A note: Robbin was wonderful about honoring different traditions. My husband is Catholic, as are many people in both our families, and I am one of those vaguely "spiritual but not religious" people. We both wanted some kind of ritual. Robbin offers a handfasting ceremony with a symbolic braided cord that we both found deeply satisfying. (He explains the significance of each color if you're interested in that approach.)

I think this is the detail anyone considering Robbin should hear: we had tons of people ask us after the ceremony how Robbin knew us so well. "Is he your neighbor? A family friend?" No - he's just an incredible professional and friendly person who's a rock star at what he does. We also had many people say they loved our hand fasting component of the ceremony and even remarked that they'd looked for someone to do it for them on their day too but couldn't find someone. Robbin does it all. We wouldn't change a single detail about our ceremony and we're grateful to Robbin for supporting us and glad we got to learn a bit about him, too!
PS - Robbin is also very good at covertly handing tissues to you if you need them during your ceremony.

eone that could make it seem like they had known us for years. Someone that would take in all of the personal details about us and tell a story. He had people laughing, smiling, and crying throughout our ceremony - all for the right reasons!
We also presented an odd request - to do a tequila shot during the ceremony! This is something that had a story behind it was very special to us. He absolutely nailed it and worked it into his speech so flawlessly so that it made it seem normal.
We also had a unexpected event happen during our ceremony that he handled very well. He was professional and compassionate, we got so many compliments on how he acknowledged the incident, then proceeded without missing a beat. He was truly the prefect person for the job and I would recommend him every single time.

Robbin was amazing! The County Clerk's office messed up and put the wrong date of application on our marriage license. Robbin pointed this out to us and accommodated us immediately...
. We were able to have our wedding ceremony, albeit last minute! It was a crazy and wonderful moment, and we cannot have been more grateful with Robbin for supporting our last-minute request. Whether you plan to get married in a month, or in a year from now, Robbin is the officiant for you!

ng process that wasn’t was working with Robbin. My husband and I heard about Robbin through our venue and I randomly gave him a call one day. Just from speaking with him on the phone, I knew he was the one I wanted to officiate my wedding. Robbin is very flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling. We met with him after work hours on a weekday which worked for us and I’m sure most working couples. After only one meeting, he put together the most beautiful ceremony. It was like he had known us for a long time and our guests felt that way as well. All we asked for was a simple ceremony that was personal and reflected us.. and Robbin did just that! Our guests were smiling, laughing and crying (in a good way) throughout the ceremony all thanks to Robbin! Please check one item off your to do list today and call The Rite Officiant! You will not regret it! Side note: He owns his own flower shop and did my bouquets and boutonnières. Absolutely beautiful and affordable pricing. Thank you again Robbin for everything!

children! He included them in something called a ribbon ceremony where our children were each represented by a color. They loved it! There was not a dry eye at the ceremony! The vows that Robbin created for my husband and I were personal and beautiful. I could not believe he could blend making our marriage ceremony about my husband and I and our family. This man truly has a gift and I would highly recommend him!

t's obvious that he truly wants the best for your big day. Robbin was respectful of our every wish for our ceremony. He really focused on making sure we were happy and took the time for us. The day of our wedding, I was incredibly nervous, like all bride's are on their big day, Robbin made time to make sure I was alright. He was very comforting and I cannot stress how important that is. Another quality of Robbin's that I valued was his ability to make us all laugh in a time filled with heavy emotions while also remaining professional. He added just the right amount of humor to our ceremony and he made it truly memorable. I promise you that Robbin will not let you down!
