Facilities and Capacity
Rivers Club offers a club ballroom for wedding receptions that is a bright combination of modern and classic with elegant neutral tones and bright beautiful light fixtures, lending it an aesthetic of sophistication. This facility also offers a variety of other private rooms that can be configured to host events of up to 250 guests at maximum capacity. All private rooms feature the same contemporary elegance as the ballroom, complete with cheery modern lighting and handsome flooring. Large windows afford beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh and a riverview of Station Square.
A private indoor ceremony site is also available, featuring a long walkway for an elegant entrance and a stage for the couple to say their vows.
Services Offered
Rivers Club hosts engagement parties, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, receptions, and more. The private event staff and event directors work with every couple to plan their big day, from vendor referrals to day-of coordination. A standard wedding package with this facility includes hors d'oeuvre, bar packages, a champagne toast for all guests, linen packages, cake cutting and bartender fees, tables, chairs, china, glassware, and silverware.

, we were hooked from the beginning. Getting prepared for the big day was easy with them. They kept us on track and made sure that if anything came up, we got an answer back quickly. I was not sure what to expect when we dropped off all our decorations the day before the wedding. I showed Ashley and Cailin my vision and they delivered. My husband and I got to do a walk through of the reception before the guests filtered in and I could not pick my jaw up off the floor. Not only did they meet my vision, they far surpassed anything I could have imagined doing on my own! The whole day felt seamless and like a breeze. After our honeymoon we found out that there were some hiccups that day but the team there handled it and allowed us to truly enjoy the day. We also hosted a brunch at the Rivers Club the next morning and we were impressed with the staff there yet again. They were just as friendly and welcoming as they had been the night before. We can not recommend you look into them for your wedding enough!

very overwhelmed. I wanted everything to be perfect, but felt very indecisive and a bit scattered, which is not typical. Ashley Barna, the wonderful River's Club event planner, was very patient with me and step by slow step, listened to my thoughts and laid out what she thought would be best, communicating regularly with me along the way.
The event could not have been better! The room was lovely, quiet, and so well planned out as far as set-up was concerned. The lunch buffet was fantastic! We received many compliments from our guests on the excellent quality of the food. The bar service was attentive and efficient. From the moment I walked into the room, I felt completely at peace, and confident that everything was taken care of. I cannot thank Ashley and her wonderful staff enough ,for making our event a huge success! I would most definitely recommend The River's Club for any special event you plan to host!

h a family member when we first got engaged. We met with Amanda for a tour of the club and venue. We were greeted with a celebratory glass of champagne to celebrate our special occasion. From that first moment we knew the Rivers was where we wanted to get married. We not only were able to have our ceremony there, but we were able to seamlessly flow into our cocktail hour and into the fabulous reception.
Amanda was there every step of the way helping to provide her input and make our dreams come true. She listened to what we envisioned and made it into our reality. Her kindness, flexibility, and creative eye helped to make our wedding be what it was. She stayed after work to allow us to come in and review all of the details and would even reach out if she had an idea. It was awesome to have such a great person to work with and she made it easy. It was a blast and I am so glad we got married here, it was honestly one of the best decisions we made.
Not only did Amanda play a role in our wedding, but Jim Gelzheiser, the executive chef made such a delightful dinner. All we heard about the food was good things from our guests. They have so many options and will work with you on your choices to make sure it is what you want it to be.

finding anything that we liked and we were losing hope. I felt that I didn't have too strict of a criteria. I basically did not want pillars in the room (so that everyone could see what was going on), did not want to have to do much to make the room look nice, and wanted a great coordinator. I was told that when you find the place, you'll just know. I didn't believe that, but when I walked into the Rivers Club, I couldn't believe my eyes. The place is amazing in aesthetics and you don't have to do anything more to make the place look nice. There were no pillars in the main room. The wedding coordinators are incredible, attentive, and listen to the bride and groom. They will coordinate with you for whatever you want. I had no doubts that the day would go smoothly. The food is excellent. I was so excited for the appetizers and my meal. The staff is joyful and makes you feel good about everything. The Rivers Club exceeded expectations and made my wedding day amazing. I had no worries about the day and wish I could have another wedding there because of how amazing the people and this place are. My mother and I could not stop talking about the place before and after. chedule to view. The space had recently experienced a renovation. It was bright and modern with plenty of space. Upon exiting the elevator there is an area where we had a photo guest book, the card/gift table and large oversized games supplied by the Rivers Club for guests. The cocktail hour had its own space with tables and chairs plus a player piano playing as guests enjoyed drinks and hor’dourves. The reception room had plenty of space for guests to mingle and dance. Working with Michele made planning the wedding easy. Her experience and expertise kept us calm throughout the process. Michele answered all of our questions and cried right beside us during the tender moments of the reception. The wait staff was wonderful and experienced. Guests commented on the great personalities of their servers. The cake from Jennuine Cakes was absolutely delicious. So many people told us that it was a beautiful venue and I would have to agree. I encourage everyone to check out the Rivers Club for their next event.

nnot express how thankful I am for Amanda, their wedding coordinator. She does it all - and is WONDERFUL!!! She is there for you anytime you need her throughout the entire planning process. Our wedding reception was everything we dreamed of and more! The only reason I did not give this venue 5 stars was because of a terrible interaction my husband and I had the following day (after the wedding) with the venue's food and beverage manager, Paul. I felt that he was very unprofessional, and left a bad taste in my mouth. This was so unfortunate, as we were both experiencing that post-wedding "high", and felt that he was out of line in the manner that he spoke to us. It is very unfortunate as this was probably the last time we would be in the venue where we experienced so many wonderful memories. However overall, the Rivers Club was a wonderful venue, and our guests could not stop raving about the food and the service! ace downstairs in the Oxford Centre Lobby for our ceremony. During our planning, Michele became our main point of contact, and she was equally helpful! After our tasting we were SO excited for our food at the wedding as all of the food we tasted was delicious, and we were not disappointed! Our guests raved about our food afterwards. They were also super accommodating with one of our guests with a peanut allergy. We did have a small scare when we discovered on our own that the piano that was downstairs for our ceremony had been sold and no one had mentioned it to us. This was a little off-putting, but Michele and staff were quick to right this error and rented a beautiful piano for us for the day of! After that small bump, everything sailed smoothly. Michele was very organized and responded to all of my questions as the day got closer. Everything looked gorgeous the day of, and we couldn't have been happier. Even though the Club transformed completely from the time we booked to the time of our wedding (as we booked right before their remodel), we were not disappointed. Michele, the wait staff, bartenders, and staff were fantastic during our entire event, and kept smiles on our faces the entire time! We worked with Amanda for our wedding and we could not say enough great things about her. She was THE best. I cannot imagine another person being as perfect at her job as she was -- I'm not exaggerating either. Between all of the texts, emails, calls, questions, changes, etc she was always there smiling and willing to do whatever we asked to make our wedding day perfect. We had ''the most cookies anyones ever seen'' at a wedding and the River's Club displayed in the most beautiful way. I was very impressed! I can honestly say that the River's Club was and still remains the perfect venue. The entire staff was fantastic between bartenders to servers they were all on point and kind. The food was AMAZING. That was the one thing I really wanted for our wedding and the River's Club completely delivered. The guests are our wedding are still talking about how elegant and wonderful our wedding was and a lot of that is thanks to Amanda and the River's Club. We had a few issues to watch out for. We were advised that we either had to end the cocktail hour after 45 minutes or order more appetizers so we ordered the food but from word from guests it sounds as though they weren't necessary and they didn't receive them until right before the reception began. Also, my check card was charged the day I returned from my honeymoon without my knowledge so just be sure to square away your final payment method before the wedding so there are no surprises when you return. I also advise discussing a plan for dealing with 'problem guests' prior to the event to avoid any confusion the day of the wedding. But overall it was a great venue and everyone loved the food, martini ice bar and most of the staff.
