Hello, newly married Calli speaking! Just wanted to take the time to talk about how truly amazing working with Helayne was. If I could give infinite stars I would. Saying that work...
ing with Helayne from The Road to Marriage was wonderful just feels like an understatement. Right away from our first interview, I knew we would be a great fit. I had heard that having a planner was the best way to go about planning a wedding, but as someone who typically prefers to do most things herself, I struggled with the idea of trusting someone with my big day. But with Helayne, I knew I was safe. I felt like I could give Helayne my half baked ideas or “vibes” and she could just run with it and guide me towards exactly what I wanted. I never felt pressured or rushed, and no questions or concerns of mine were ever silly. I felt like she genuinely understood what our priorities for the big day were, and she did everything possible to help make our dreams come true.
More than just being a joy to work with, Helayne is an absolute professional. She always responded to my texts and emails promptly, and was so accommodating when it came to meeting either in person or online when my schedule changed. She worked directly with the vendors on my behalf, which took so much off of my plate and made the entire process so much less stressful. She looked over the contracts and would help explain anything I didn’t understand. She would be very honest whenever I had questions on the pricing difference between vendors and gave her honest and valid opinions, which helped guide my decision making process.
Helayne gave us very clear timelines and “to do” lists that helped make the entire planning process way less stressful. And it wasn’t just the planning process that was seamless: her organization and clear communication on the actual day made her the best damn day-of wedding coordinator ever. I had so many wedding guests walk up to us and say how impressed they were with my wedding planner. One person told me that Helayne made it seem like I was a high-end celebrity with the efficiency and care she treated our day with! I know you hear horror stories about all the things that can go wrong with a wedding, but from our rehearsal dinner, to the big day, to checking on us before out honeymoon, Helayne made our wedding weekend flawless. While weddings are never stress free, Helayne made it to where I could truly be in the moment and just enjoy the product of all of our hard work.
I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention how hard Helayne worked to make sure to include my sister in all of the wedding planning. Living so far from home, I thought I wouldn’t be able to work as closely with my sister as I would’ve liked. But Helayne saw how close I was with her and made it a point to include her each step of the way.
From the bottom of my heart, I recommend Helayne to anyone seeking a wedding planner. If I had to do the whole process over, I wouldn’t change a thing. Whether you’ve been looking for a while, or this is your first stop on your search, I promise you, you can stop here; with Helayne, you have found the best wedding planner you could hope for.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Helayne from The Road to Marriage. Her expertise and organization made the wedding planning process seamless and stress-free. Helayne...
provided invaluable assistance with vendor selections, contract management, and flawlessly handled day-of coordination. She kept us on track with timelines, ensuring everything was executed perfectly. Thanks to her, my sister could fully enjoy her special day without any worries.
Helayne’s communication skills are exceptional. She is not only prompt and professional but also incredibly kind and detail-oriented. Her thoroughness ensured that no aspect of the wedding was overlooked. Her professionalism and compassionate attitude throughout the planning and the event itself made a significant difference, lifting much of the stress from our shoulders.
A standout moment for us was Helayne’s flexibility in working across California and Texas. As her sister living in Texas, I was responsible for many details locally, while my sister lived in California. Helayne kept us both engaged and informed through various meeting formats, making coordination effortless.
I wholeheartedly recommend Helayne to anyone seeking a wedding planner. Her dedication and expertise are unmatched, and I would trust her with my own wedding without hesitation. Choosing a planner is more than an expense; it's an investment in peace of mind and the success of your wedding day.
If you're just starting out, make meeting with Helayne your first step. Her guidance and connections can transform your wedding experience into something magical and truly unforgettable.
When we first started planning our wedding, we questioned whether we needed to invest in a planner. Working with Helayne over the past year put all of those doubts to rest - we tru...
ly could not have pulled off such a complicated event without her expert guidance and calming presence throughout the journey.
Helayne brings a friendly, professional, and expert approach to wedding planning. Her proprietary approach that breaks everything into manageable tasks, ability to source quality vendors, and day-of team exceeded all our expectations. She also brings a vast expertise that guided us through the small and large wedding details we never would have thought of, making everything run seamlessly for us and our guests.
During vendor selection, for example, she would save us time by presenting us with 2-3 well-researched contacts who she knew would achieve our vision. We then were able to focus on getting to know the vendors and their artistic styles in order to select one that aligned with our vision. As the big day approached, Helayne’s organizational skills shined, and she created a minute-by-minute, multi-page timeline for the event that included every detail from guest allergies and our preferred drinks to making sure some “quiet time” was scheduled for us as a couple. When it came time for the wedding, we went in feeling fully prepared and knew that Helayne’s team was ready to handle any surprises that might pop up - leaving us to celebrate with friends/family and simply take everything in.
The wedding itself was flawlessly executed; everything from the florals and table design to the catering and officiant perfectly aligned with our vision. We could not have asked for a more successful outcome, and it was in no small part thanks to Helayne.
Helayne is an angel. You need her to be your planner. Holy cow did she make everything so much easier, so much less stressful, and did it all with patience, kindness, and an eye fo...
r detail. We had Helayne for the month of planning, but if I had to do it over again, I would have hired her for even longer. She's that great. If there were any hiccups with our wedding, I honestly don't know about them, and that's 100% because of Helayne handling everything. Thank you so much, we are so grateful that you were part of our wedding adventure.
Helayne was an absolute dream to work with. She is so knowledgeable about the wedding industry and will guide you every step of the way. We met with her over 2 years before our big...
day and had to postpone twice due to Covid. She helped us reschedule vendors and coordinate everything. On rehearsal and wedding day, she was outstanding. She helped all the bridal party to know exactly what to do and helped me by providing reassurance that everything was taken care of. I didn’t have to lift a finger. She worked so well with all of the vendors and was so professional with everything. Our wedding day was seamless. My husband and I were able to enjoy our day, have fun, and not worry about a thing! I cannot recommend Helayne more. She is just the very best!! She was the best wedding choice I made! ❤️
Helanya was an absolute delight to work with. She is sweet, charming, professional and very punctual. She went above and beyond our entire engagement and helped set a timeline for ...
us and stay on track and make sure we had answers to every little thing we wanted for our special day.
My wife and I did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. She took care of it all and always checked in with us to ask if she could get us anything. Such a warm experience.
What I loved most about her is she has the capability of leading and directing vendors/guests but in a way that never came off too stern or unpleasant AT ALL. My parents kept commenting on her and how wonderful she was.
12/10 had an EXCELLENT experience with her and would recommend to anyone looking for a coordinator in a heart beat.
If you are recently engaged and preparing to plan your wedding, call The Road To Marriage! Helayne will do an outstanding job. We hired TRTM in July 2019 for our wedding on Decemb...
er 28, 2019. Our interest in TRTM was based on other couples’ reviews and social media. We opted for the middle package- not complete planning and coordination but more than just day of coordination. We had secured our venue but needed assistance with florals/decorations, catering, entertainment and transportation. Helayne assistance was invaluable. She accompanied us to vendor meetings and offered insightful advice to aid our choices based on our wedding vision. Her recommendations for catering, bartender service, florist, event decor, and transportation were superb.
Helayne is incredibly organized, thorough and detail oriented. Everything you would hope for in the coordination of your special day. Our wedding reception was PERFECT. Helayne and her assistant, Marisol, made sure every detail was attended to. They did an outstanding job! We unequivocally recommend Helayne and The Road To Marriage. We will forever be grateful to Helayne for helping us plan our beautiful wedding and reception.
Dear future brides to be,
First, congratulations on your upcoming wedding day. This is a time of celebration for you, your partner, and your families.
Now, that you have decide...
d to embark on your future together it is time to start planning. If you are anything like me, you're trying to save a dime by planning the wedding yourself. I quickly realized as my wedding approached that we couldn't do it all by ourselves.
I reached out to Helayne and her team on a whim (based on a recommendation from a friend) which turned out to be one of the best planning decisions I made. Leading up to the wedding, she was available to answer all of my questions whether it was by phone, email, or text messaging. Although, I had set up most of my vendors before working with her she put me in contact with the remaining ones I needed. She attended every meeting with every vendor near the San Antonio region and coordinated all the vendors the day of the wedding.
Finally, on the day of my wedding she not only made sure I had everything I needed she also orchestrated an extremely complicated transportation schedule. My bridesmaids thought she was "da bomb" with no exaggeration. She directed them along the way so they had nothing to worry about and could enjoy the day with me.
She is extremely professional and works well with other vendors. Without a doubt, I would hire her again!
Helayne was so wonderful to work with! Our big day was a success due to her diligent work. A few months prior to my wedding, I started panicking. I was so worried that little detai...
ls were missing and that the timeline of wedding day would be chaotic. After the first conversation with Helayne, I felt comfortable and reassured, she put my mind at ease. She answered all of my questions along the way and never made me feel like I was a burden. Any bumps in the road that came up, we met and conquered them together. On wedding day, I got to enjoy every second of the day and take everything in all because of Helayne! Thank you Helayne!

ur big day. Instead, Helayne was the calm, cool, and collected person I was so thrilled to have on my team. I hired her for day-of-coordination, and was able to seamlessly pass over my list of vendors and my vision for her to execute. Leading up to the wedding, she completely owned the management of our timeline and all necessary communications with vendors. On the day of, Helayne was organized, kept my husband and I on track, and ensured the day was perfect from start to finish. If you are looking for a ROCKSTAR of a wedding planner, someone who is easy to be around, gets stuff done, and eases all of your wedding day stress and jitters, Helayne is your girl!

tions then say I know it's a dumb question. She would reassure me that there were no dumb questions . She even helped with Vendors when I had to take a step back with wedding planning
Her work is the best, she listens, she makes sure you have options and you know what your getting. I absolutely enjoyed every minute in working with her.

on all things wedding. The planning process was easy and stress free having her to walk us through each step and arrange meetings with other vendors. However, most importantly I cannot stress enough how amazing she and her team were on wedding day! Helayne took care of all the final details so we could relax and enjoy the wedding day! Thank you so much to Helayne and her team!

g. She has a wide variety of wonderful vendors that made my daughters day, and I quote, “ all that I ever dreamed of for my wedding!” Her calm demeanor the day of the wedding and the ability to handle the unexpected kept us all on track. She was a calm presence moving quietly through family and friends to get us through the evening with big smiles! Loved her!

dding industry professionals. Although I am very comfortable and have some experience in planning and executing small events, managing the many details and decisions involved in planning a wedding can quickly become an overwhelming and stressful task so I knew that I would really benefit from the services of a wedding planner.
I knew from the first meeting with Helayne that The Road to Marriage was the right choice. Her professionalism, organization and attention to detail was apparent from that first meeting. Throughout the year of planning, Helayne always responded to questions and concerns as soon as possible and went above and beyond to make all the arrangements that we wanted.
A priority for me in choosing a wedding planner was having someone who would have recommendations for creative and reliable vendors. Helayne did not disappoint. She was invaluable in setting up meetings with prospective vendors (all of them outstanding!), helping us evaluate each of them according to our vision for the wedding and then managing all the communications, details, payments and contracts with them throughout the process.
We also wanted to be able to really relax and enjoy the wedding instead of having to be concerned about all the details and everything that needed to happen leading up to the wedding and on wedding day. The wedding day was stress free and we were able to enjoy each special moment of the day. Helayne and her team made that happen!
Helayne and The Road to Marriage team made the vision for our daughter’s wedding a reality and it was a truly magical and amazing event! I could not have imagined anything better. Thank you Helayne. We are forever grateful!
As the mother of the bride when my daughter told me that she wanted a wedding planner I just didn’t get it...I thought...why??? she has me....I have an extremely flexible job...I ...
can do this! Ha!
Thank goodness my daughter convinced me otherwise!
We had Helayne from start to finish and WOW, what a blessing! There is no way in the world I could have done all that she did. Her knowledge and connections in the wedding industry are priceless. On top of that she is professional, punctual and just all around amazing!
I can not thank her enough for her help in putting my daughter’s dream wedding into a reality
Helayne and her team took SUCH good care of us through out my whole wedding planning process, and the day of the wedding. She is amazingly organized and talented. She.gets.it.done....
She made my wedding happen.. we had 2 rain plans and multiple last minute things to plan, and Helayne pulled through perfectly. I can’t recommend her enough!!
If you’re in the market for a wedding planner (which you are because you’re reading reviews for one) we strongly recommend you allow Helayne and her staff to make your special day ...
exactly as you envision it. From contacting vendors and setting up meetings to staying on top of important deadlines, Helayne is a do-it-all planner with a helpful and positive attitude who will get the job done. She’s always an email, text, or phone call away and is always open minded to your ideas. All the little details that you wouldn’t have even thought matter or exists, she has already considered and planned for. We are so happy that we went with Helayne and The Road to Marriage for our special day and would 1000% recommend you at least have a chat with her to get to experience what a pleasure a meeting with her can be.

rking with her. However, I didn’t book her right away, I ambitiously thought I could plan the wedding myself (lol). I was at my breaking point & decided I needed to pull in an expert. We hired Helayne in late December for our March 23 wedding for her day-of services. From the time we started working with Helayne the stressing over the planning portion was basically eliminated. We sat down with her several times for in-depth planning sessions. She helped tremendously with decision making throughout & graciously helped with the quest of securing vendors. Helayne meticulously created a schedule for day of which would be followed to a T. While we were forced to deviate some from originally planned due to weather, there was never a doubt in my mind that things would go off without a hitch. We had the most amazing time at our wedding and it wouldn’t have been possible without Helayne and her team making sure everything behind the scenes was being taken care of. We were truly able to relax and enjoy every minute of it. Helayne really knows her stuff & lives for the thrill of pulling off your dream wedding. Hire Helayne and let her take the wheel.

y run so smoothly! We had the absolute BEST DAY & she was a huge part of that! I should also mention that we live in out of town and she was able to help us out from afar & also help us incorporate some Vietnamese traditions. There aren’t enough words for me to explain how amazing Helayne and her team are! You want the perfect wedding day? Choose Helayne! Thank you, Helayne, for being so patient, organized, and supportive of all our decisions. We are extremely blessed to have found you! We are so appreciative of you and your dedication!

d booking appointments I was so overwhelmed and it was making us miserable. This is when we booked The Road to Marriage. It was a giant weight off our shoulders right from the beginning! She broke everything up into pieces and told us step by step what we needed to do and think about. She took care of making appointments with all of the vendors, and even worked around my husband and I's very busy schedules! She also hand selected lists of vendors that she knew would match our taste. All of the vendors Helayne helped us pick and recommended were awesome and so professional, by the end of it all we had a dream team of people to support our wedding. On the wedding day Helayne took care of all the behind the scenes stuff, so my husband and I could really relax and enjoy our wedding. She organized all of the vendors, the venue, the schedule and the set up and break down of everything. She was always quick to respond if I needed anything and was always super professional. I know that wedding planning isn't always something couples think about or feel like they "need", but honestly, if you want to ENJOY the planning process and the big day, really do yourself a favor and get a wedding planner! It will make the whole process go SO much smoother.

ey were handling everything behind the scenes while my bridal party and I were getting ready, drinking mimosas. I wasn't stressed at all that morning because I had peace of mind that everything was being taken care of. I hired The Road to Marriage for the weekend, day of planning, but that included several meetings with Helayne and Anna to make sure everything was on track leading up to the wedding, and coordination of the rehearsal. Everything came out beautiful and I couldn't have asked for more on our wedding day. My Dad even said Anna and her assistant were on top of everything! Thank you Helayne, Anna, and the Road to Marriage for making our wedding a beautiful event.
There's so many amazing things to say about Helayne and her team. I met her two years ago when my husband proposed to me and I knew from the get go I couldn't do this on my own. Fr...
om the very beginning she was kind, heartwarming, and made me feel so much less stressed about the planning process. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. Throughout the entire process she was always so calm and collective and always reassured me that everything would be OK anytime I went into panic mode. (Which was often, lol) My wedding day went absolutely perfect and if anything had gone wrong or didn't go as planned I had no idea because she made sure to take care of everything and let me have my day. Helayne will always always ALWAYS have a special place in my heart and will mean so much to me because if it were not for her my day would not have been my dream come true like it was. If you make any decision for your wedding, make the decision to get a wedding planner. And then choose Helayne because she will make your entire planning process stress free!
Hiring Helayne as our day-of-coordinator was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Nothing I can write in a review will do justice to how awesome and fantastic her ...
services were. As soon as we had booked our venue I started searching for the person who would help pull one of the most important days of our lives together and came across The Road to Marriage. I read so many excellent reviews that I immediately reached out to set up a meeting and I’m so glad I did. Helayne is exceptionally professional and knowledgeable about this industry and has such a passion for what she does – it’s incredibly obvious she takes a lot of pride in her work and wants nothing but to be sure her weddings go off without a hitch. While I only utilized her day of services, she was still there above and beyond to make sure that any questions I had were answered in a timely manner and to help steer us away from potential disasters; I have no doubt she would be excellent planning the entire wedding. Helayne’s services were worth far more than what we paid and was easily the best money we spent. Stop asking yourself if you need a coordinator and hire Helayne…and thank us later!

l things wedding. Helayne's experience and planning prepared us for all the possible surprises and coordination we didn't even think to anticipate. She has different wedding coordination packages that can suit not only your budget but also your planning needs. We would highly recommend Helayne and the Road to Marriage team!
My husband and I are so grateful for everything Helayne did to make our big day the most perfect day ever. Honestly we don’t know what we would’ve done without her! Her attention t...
o detail, organization skills and her dedication exceeded all our expectations. Her work ethic shows her passion and having her by our side throughout the whole planning process was the best decision we could’ve made. We are forever thankful!
My husband and I highly recommend Helayne. Without her, I don't know what I would have done. We hired her for her day of services but I wish I had the budget for her full service. ...
She was worth every penny! I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day. When I first started wedding planning, I wasn't sure if planning services were necessary but I'm glad I invested in Helayne.
Helayne is hands down the best wedding planner there is. She exceeded our expectations and then some. I was the penny pincher in the planning of our wedding and honestly, she was w...
orth more than her price tag. We took advantage of her full service package. In hindsight, her services were an absolute necessity.
There’s no way we could have done everything she did for us without losing our minds. She took the time to get to know how we envisioned our perfect wedding day and then found the perfect vendors to execute the plan. I would have driven myself into the ground doing all the research to find the perfect vendors, but because of her I didn’t have to. She has knowledge of the industry that you only get with years of experience. That aspect alone saved us so much time and stress because she was so spot on with our preferences, we rarely had to visit multiple vendors for the same service. Being very busy people, that was a huge deal to us. One of my favorite was the bakery who made our strawberry with lemonade custard cake. I never would have found them on my own and that cake was phenomenal.
Just knowing that Helayne had our backs and was going to make it all happen was a huge stress reliever. We didn’t have to constantly stress over whether we forgot to book someone or make a payment on time, or whether or not everyone was on the same page as far as our vision and expectations of our wedding day. I had no doubts from day one that she was going to make it happen, and she did. She not only exceeded our expectations, but she gave us something you can’t put a price tag on.....peace of mind. And that is what makes her so special.
Where do I begin? We started out with a different wedding coordinator, and it was a disaster. We parted ways and I was so excited to find Helayne following that. I say that to say ...
Helayne was completely night and day. She is professional, an excellent communicator, and provides so much value.
My husband and I have extremely busy jobs and Helayne was flexible with us and kept us on task. You could see her strong work ethic and commitment to making our day perfect. She helped us with vendors that we had not booked yet, timelines, and asked questions that we would have never thought of.
Fast forward to the month of our wedding, Helayne took full control of coordinating the vendors. I never could have found the time or energy on my own to contact each one of my vendors, and set up the timeline as she did, on top of everything else that I was doing. Typically, I am a very decisive person, but something about planning a wedding made me the most indecisive bride. Helayne was so patient with reminders and guiding us to make the best decisions.
Helayne, for all of the last minute questions, payment reminders, timeline reminders, handling everything that came up that I found out about AFTER the fact, and so much more - THANK YOU.
Bottom Line: I highly recommend The Road To Marriage. My mom was very reluctant in agreeing to a coordinator. At the end, she said that was the best decision that we made - a huge compliment.
Hiring The Road to Marriage to coordinate our wedding was the best choice we made in our wedding planning process! Helayne is punctual, organized, thoughtful and one step ahead at ...
all times. Helayne thinks of every detail and how everything will run together. She sees problems before they come and always has a plan b. Helayne is reliable, trustworthy, honest, kind and intelligent. She made our planning process and wedding day flow smoothly. I knew I could trust her and it took any worries I had away so that I could relax. We love Helayne and could not have had the wedding of our dreams without her and her team!
If you’re getting married, you NEED Helayne Nicholson.
When we got engaged we had several challenges:
1. San Antonio is a destination for us
2. I was not flexing on my June 9th d...
ate
3. We wanted a high-end wedding on a moderate budget.
4. Oh, and we were getting married in less than four months.
I was referred to two local planners from friends. The first planner flat out said, “No,” that she couldn’t do it. Another planner didn’t even respond to my email (her Assistant responded instead, I didn’t quite like that.)
In comes Helayne. I had my eye on her for a bit due to her high reviews, but I didn’t know anyone who had ever worked with her. She swiftly responded to my email at 6:30 am on a Saturday and I knew I had found my match!
Do not get sticker shock with Helayne, she is worth every. single. penny! She was my first wedding contract/purchase, and honestly I have no idea how I could’ve had my wedding without her.
We used Helayne’s “Trip Around the World” service, which is a full-planning program. My husband and I (who are both executive level professionals) both agree that Helayne is sharp, professional, hard-working and excellent at her job.
We were so blessed to be able to work with Helayne. Before we even hired her, she was the first of all the planners we contacted to respond, to set up an interview, and to follow u...
p. I appreciated her drive and organizational skills from our very first emails. Our wedding was fraught with planning drama, and despite the fact that we only booked partial planning services, Helayne went above and beyond to help us out when our planning experience hit the rocks.
She is the perfect balance of honest and accepting. I know our wedding was offbeat and one with many firsts for her, but she never made us feel like our choices were any less meaningful just because they weren't "traditional." However, she didn't shy away from having the hard conversations - she told us bad news plainly, and honestly, but always had a backup plan. She doesn't sugarcoat things, which, when you're planning an event, is a valuable asset. Despite our planning drama, I almost began to enjoy watching her handle vendors on our behalf - she has this masterful ability to question people in such a way that she gets a truthful answer from them, even if they don't want to give it. Maybe it comes from her history as a teacher!
My mother described Helayne as a military general, and that is absolutely accurate. She is meticulous, prepared, grounded, realistic, and capable. And maybe has a secret twin, because I'm not sure how else she managed to be everywhere at once on our wedding day.
I remember like it was yesterday the first time my mom and I met Helayne at the Bridal Fair. I remember thinking, wow, she is perfect! Of all the wedding planners we met that day, ...
Helayne was absolutely the best. She guided us every step of the way by not only providing us with timelines and tasks to complete, but also taking the time to meet with us on a monthly basis as well as every vendor appointment we had. She was great in providing us with vendor options which all had amazing things to offer. Helayne was by our side every step of the way and knew what our vision was for our special day. On the day of our wedding, Helayne had everything organized from our flowers at the church to everything else going on at the reception 30 minutes away. Not once was my husband nor I stressed of something going wrong on our wedding day. We put our full trust in Helayne and we would recommend others do the same. Helayne was truly a blessing to us and couldn't have asked for anyone better! Thank you, Helayne!

e took the time to get to know us on a personal level individually and as a couple to make sure she was able to execute exactly what we envisioned. She kept us organized and on track with timelines with continued correspondence, documents and checklists. She responded in timely manners and always made us feel like we were priority even when we knew she had other tasks/clients/events. She always made us feel comfortable and the times we were able to meet we accomplished so much. It was nice knowing that although we had selected "day of services", the "extras" including meetings prior to the day, access to her vendors and unlimited correspondence was assuring we knew she was 100% our person! On the day of our wedding, we were able to feel calm and focused on the importance of our marriage while Helayne handled all the details. We loved that leading up to the day, any instances, occurrences or situations were handled without our knowledge so it didn't take from our enjoyment. Even the planner and organizer in me tried to figure things out but Helayne continuously reassured she had it and for us to enjoy ourselves. We were so thankful to have her on "our team" and helping us have the most beautiful and perfect wedding!
Helayne was exactly what we needed for our big day! My husband and I were planning our wedding on our own when it was suggested to us multiple times to get a coordinator. We did ...
our research and The Road to Marriage stood out to us immediately. After speaking with Helayne on the phone it looks us all of 2 seconds to look at each other and say "lets book her". Helayne is very knowledge in the wedding industry, detail oriented, and did a great job of balancing our needs and wants and inputting her suggestions. On our wedding day she was running around making sure everything was going smoothly and making adjustments as needed because we were behind on our timeline. If running behind wasn't enough, an unexpected event happened and Helayne was still cool as a cucumber. I can't thank Helayne enough! We received multiple compliments from our guests about what a great job she did which speaks volumes about her dedication to her couples. I would recommend The Road to Marriage in a heartbeat. :)

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Helayne and her team. She helped to tie up so many loose ends and made the big day effortless for The Bride and wedding party!! If yo...
u are planning a wedding, you ABSOLUTELY want this special lady on your team! I would recommend her services to any and every bride!
Our wedding was simply amazing! Our guests were in awe, vendors pulled us aside and complimented every detail, the owner of the venue even commented that our wedding was the most b...
eautiful that they have had to date. Absolutely none of which would have been possible without Helayne. You can hire the best caterer, buy the perfect dress, splurge on the most beautiful flowers, but at the end of the day the most important and memorable part of your wedding is the execution and harmonization of all the details. This is a rare quality that Helayne and her staff have perfected, and at a level of professionalism and empathy that you will not find with anyone else. She was the backbone of our wedding. Helayne took care of every single detail of our wedding and allowed us to enjoy and take in everything about our day stress free. She held our hands from the first day we met her, throughout our wedding, and even after our wedding day. She found us the perfect venue and connected us with the very best vendors. She listened our vision and desires and perfected them, even providing expertise recommendations to enhance and personalize our ideas. She made sure that we covered every little detail, some of which I would have never even thought of! We planned our wedding for a little over a year and Helayne always made herself available, she set up and attended all vendor meetings, she made sure that all our decisions fulfilled our vision, but most importantly she removed all the stress from our wedding and allowed us to enjoy each other and our guests. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and we will forever be grateful to Helayne.
Highly recommend! Worth every penny.
The Road to Marriage made our wedding experience an unforgettable one. Helayne is such an amazing, organized, hard-working, breath of fresh air whom I cannot imagine going through ...
this process without. She made us feel confident throughout the entire process, and didn't quit until the job was done. On the day of, everything could not have gone smoother. We even received a compliment from a bartender that our event was the most well run, organized, and professional event they had ever seen at their venue. To me, that says it all. Thank you so much for your attention to detail, and being our voice so we could just sit back and relax. :)
We were extremely thankful to have met Helayne at the Wedding Fair. From the moment my daughter and I met her, there was no doubt that we wanted her as our Wedding Coordinator. ...
Her expertise, knowledge and professionalism is invaluable and made every step of our daughter's wedding truly beautiful and memorable. We could not have asked for anyone better.
My wedding day was magical thanks to Helayne.
After getting engaged I considered the services of a wedding planner but did not think they were necessary. You see, as a profession...
al part of my job is planning large events for 600+ people. I’d say I’m experienced in coordinating event timelines, budget, and facilitation, however many of my friends and colleagues advised me against using my own services on my special day. They stressed the importance of not only finding a wedding planner, but choosing the perfect one. Looking back I’m so grateful for their advice.
I met with lot of planners but many seemed insincere or just not quite the right fit for me, until I met Helayne. I found her to be composed, genuine, organized, and she asked intelligent questions. I made my husband attend all of our meetings because she provided such great tips and insight. At each meeting we’d each take out our phones and write ourselves notes capturing all the great information. Had I not chosen Helayne I know I would have missed out on so much. I should also mention I’m a perfectionist with exceptionally high standards. My husband is the exact opposite and flies by the seat of his pants in every decision he makes. Helayne was able to eloquently communicate with both of us allowing us, especially me, to avoid unnecessary wedding stress.
Less than two weeks before my wedding my husband and I were still waiting on pricing communication from our reception venue. Of course I was freaking out and Helayne made herself available for every late night and early morning text. She facilitated communication between the venue and myself helping every step of the way.
One the day of my wedding, when I would feel myself getting stressed of anxious, I’d just look at Helayne and see her beautiful smile or reassuring thumbs up. It was exactly what I needed to ease my nerves. I am absolutely grateful for her services. Although I’ve always known Helayne was the perfect choice for me, what impressed me the most has been the comments made by my friends, family, and wedding guests. Friends said, “Wow, she did so much! She was on top of her game!” My dad stated, “Her directives during the church entrance and before the toast really helped me out. I was so nervous!” My wedding guests, “Where did you find her and give me her information!”
Again, I can’t say enough about Helayne’s abilities. My wedding day was magical thanks to her.
Helayne and Ana, thank you so much for everything! When we first met you it was like a breath of fresh air, we were pulling our hair out dealing with multiple vendors without a rea...
l plan. You were able to get everything on track, deal with our problem vendors while allowing us to focus on our upcoming wedding and our own sanity! The day of the wedding, everything ran flawlessly with Ana leading the team to perfection. Thank you for everything, y'all are the best!!
Helayne Nicholson is a God-send. Her expertise, vendor referrals and recommendations are invaluable. Helayne kept us organized, moving and on time (no easy thing task with our busy...
schedules and essentially a three month wedding plan timeline.) Helayne was gracious - even on days when the pressure got to us - and was an angel of reason when we needed it. In working together, we had a dream wedding. She was attentive to what made us unique and what we wanted for our special day. If you're looking for the right person to walk with you on 'the road to marriage', look no further. Helayne is one of the biggest blessings for which you could ask. Thank you Helayne!!!
My husband and I were looking for a day-of coordinator for our July wedding, with only 6 months to plan and execute. Helayne was in touch within hours after my initial contact, and...
within a day we knew we'd found the right person for the job. What we didn't know was how incredibly blessed we'd be not only by Helayne's work, but by her friendship. She is detailed oriented, task-focused, and has the ability to juggle about a million things at the same time. And even though I'm sure things went wrong on our wedding day, we never noticed a single one of them. Helayne kept us calm when we wanted to get frustrated, helped us laugh when we were tense or nervous, and walked every step of the way with us as we traveled the road to marriage. She made sure our families and friends were well taken care of, she took a genuine interest in our relationship and well-being, and because of that we were able to trust her at every moment to get us through our big day. As we've reflected on the entire process, we are certain that hands-down, Helayne and The Road To Marriage were the BEST choice we made during wedding planning....other than choosing to marry each other! We couldn't imagine the last 6 months without her. Well done, H! We're going to miss you!
Helayne was a God send. My mother-in-law had attending a wedding previously that Helayne was the coordinator. She was so impressed that she suggested her for our wedding. Helayne c...
ame in at the very end of planning for our wedding as I had done most of the planning while still working over 100 hrs a week. She was amazing!!!! She tightened up any loose ends that I had up to day of the ceremony. She met with my event coordinator and may sure our day was absolutely perfect in our eyes. She was punctual, efficient, organized, and thorough. I could only imagine all the mishaps that might have happened if we did not have Helayne. She gets the job done and done well! Thanks for all your help and I will definitely recommend you to any of my family/friends/colleagues in need of a wedding coordinator!
When I look back on my wedding planning experience, Helayne is the one person/thing that comes to mind. After a decision to get married in 4 months (after dating for nearly 4 years...
), I knew that whichever wedding planner we hired would need to be prepared to get down to business quick. After putting in a request for information, I heard back from Helayne within minutes, and was on the phone hiring her just a few hours later. To add to the chaos, we were planning a "destination" wedding from out-of-state... A difficult feat in itself! From the moment I spoke with Helayne, I was confident that she was the person to help guide us through the process. She took the time to help educate us on wedding details and things to expect, and never once assumed we knew what was going on... She truly helped guide the way through every decision, both big and small. She was good at showing us "both sides of the coin" when considering different options, and while she would give her recommendation when asked, she never forced her opinions or ideas on us. Throughout the process I trusted Helayne, and I am so glad that I did. While something goes wrong with every wedding day (ours was moved inside), she helped quickly transform our vision and even surprised us with a beautiful Ceremony display that was unexpected. She obviously cares for her clients, but also cares for the various vendors that she connects her clients to. This is such an amazing benefit to hiring her - she is well-respected and people enjoy working with her. My sweet husband really has one thing he wants to mention: "While I knew that there were so many details that go into the wedding, I didn't know how many details Helayne would handle that I never could handle in the first place. She isn't just valuable to you, she is valuable to your family, friends, and vendors." From the both of us, if you're considering a wedding planner, look no further. She will have your best interests in mind, and help to make the experience of planning a wedding fun, organized, and memorable. We love you Helayne!
Amazing, detailed, experienced!!! Did I catch you eye yet? Is is weird to be jealous of the brides that get to work with her now? I was looking for a planner to help with the day-o...
f wedding planning. I will admit, I am a bit anal (understatement) and had lost out on two planners already. Now, I know that God was just making me wait until I met Helayne. Was referred to her by Anne at The Girl General (also awesome) and I knew from the first moment that she was the one I was waiting for. I know, corny, but it takes someone who I completely trust for me to let go and trust implicitly. Someone who would take the reins and not be afraid to shoot someone the "ojos" when they aren't doing what they are supposed to. That is Helayne. She is organized, funny, happy, not too sappy, not afraid to get dirty (not literally). We had so much fun in our meetings leading up to the wedding day, but still seemed to get everything done. She was always there in the background nudging me in the right direction and then took over EVERYTHING so that I could focus on getting married! She reminds me of a duck, so composed on the top of the water, you would never know her legs are kicking a million miles a minute below the water. Things I never even thought about, were taken care of. Matt and I were able to see the reception room and enjoy 20 minutes alone with our drinks of choice (yes, she asked us what our drink of choice was and kept us full all night) and apps before the reception started. Even during the day, I was feeling kind of bloated and needed some GasX (sorry for the TMI). I was trying to figure out how to not inconvenience anyone and still get what I needed. Then, Helayne magically showed up with some. I am talking over and above the call of duty there. haha. She anticipated everything and was one step ahead of everyone the entire process. I could write more, maybe a novel, but I think you get the picture. Just go ahead and hire her, you will enjoy your day, and it will be everything you dreamed up and more!
My experience with Helayne was amazing. Since the first day we met, I knew she had to be a part of my wedding. I could not have had the wedding without her help! I got married Apr...
il 7th, 2017 and the entire wedding planning process went so smooth and it was so enjoyable! Helayne is professional and amazing at what she does. My wedding day was magical and more than I could have ever imagined, because of Helayne. She truly cares about her clients and advocates at whatever possible circumstance. I had absolutely no worries or stress having Helayne as my wedding planner. No worries and no stress?! Is that possible!? It is when you have Helayne! Helayne kept in constant contact with us since the day one. I recommend her 100%!!
I wish I could give this an infinite amount of stars. Helayne was the best decision we made ( besides marry each other) for our wedding. She was calm, collected, and poised. True...
ly a master with a plan! Our outdoor ceremony had to quickly more indoors due to rain and Helayne and her team made it all work flawlessly. Beyond her incredible wedding planning skills, she's a joy to be around and gives off the best energy. She got down to business and handed everything so we could enjoy our day. I knew from the moment I met her I wanted her around- really she's beautiful inside and out and makes your wedding day perfect for you. Thank you!
Wow, I cannot say enough about Helayne. My wife and I debated whether or not we should have a wedding coordinator, and I was leaning toward saying no, but I can't imagine having pl...
anned our wedding without one. After meeting Helayne, we both knew that it would be worth it to hire her. Every step of the way she exceeded our expectations. At our first meeting gave us an extremely detailed checklist that we used for the entirety of the wedding planning process. From then on we continued to be impressed. On the day of our wedding it rained and she came up with three options to save the day, and everything ended up being perfect. Her energy was always calming and assertive, meaning that she knew she was going to be able to handle whatever we threw at her, and make our day go off flawlessly. As someone who was skeptical at first, I can tell you that you certainly won't regret having Helayne on your team as you plan your day.
