venue. Gabrielle, their general manager, was a pleasure to work with in planning our reception. She quickly and professionally responded to any questions or requests we had. The lobby and main hall have a mid-century vibe. The facility was clean and a blank canvas for us to use. The wedding reception was held on Saturday afternoon, but we had the venue early Friday, which enabled us to setup all our décor, which when we were done looked FANTASTIC!!! We used the stage for our wedding party and set up twelve round tables on the floor for our guests. Additionally, we set up rectangular tables around the perimeter for our desserts, bar, DJ and gifts. We located our buffet in the meeting room adjacent to the lobby and right next to the kitchen. We had approximately 150 guests and had ample seating and plenty of room for dancing and mingling. If you are looking for an affordable option with tons of possibilities, I would highly recommend The Rockville Center.

turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. There are so many different ways to decorate the center and make it whatever you want it to be, without having to spend a fortune to do so. Mrs. Thomas was who we dealt with and she was an absolute pleasure. We had a stopped up toilet the night before the wedding at the rehearsal - I called her and she had someone out there fixing it immediately. She was friendly and very accommodating when we needed to get into the center in the weeks prior to measure or whatever. I'd definately recommend the Rockville Community Center to any bride who is looking for a venue to hold their wedding or reception. If I had it to do all over again, I'd choose it again.

ay of our wedding is where we ran into a few problems: 1. There were no trash bags or paper towels in the facility. We had to send our groomsmen to the store to purchase these items. 2. If you are using the kitchen be prepared to bring EVERYTHING!! We thought we prepared ahead of time but common items such as a can opener and pot were not there. 3. The floor was very sticky. We had to clean it ourselves before we started decorating and it didnt help. Then at our reception one of my elderly guest almost fell due to the still sticky floor. 4. Dont use the website table inventory. Please check the amount of tables they have before ordering tablecloths. I planned on 12 of each size and didnt have enough tablecloths in the correct size. 5. There was nothing posted on the sign by the road that a wedding was being held there. Meanwhile at the end of the night we were confronted by a police officer asking why we were on the premises so late. I dont want to say I had the worst experience but we had a few issues that I feel could have been avoided.

almost impossible to find in the Richmond Area, but I came across the Rockville Center, which ended up being the perfect place for our reception. We had 200-220 seated guests and plenty of space for dancing because of the way we arranged the seating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, because it is VERY affordable and a perfect place for a wedding if you plan on having your own catoring service or way of bringing food/drinks. Also, it was very easy to get my ABC license to be able to serve alcoholic drinks. Gabrielle, the contact person was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we had a question or when we needed to visit the center she always took care of our requests. Also, a day before the wedding i couldn't figure out how to turn on the AC, and Gabrielle came out and got it working. The wedding ended up being beautiful and all of the guest we're very impressed. We had a wonderful experience and after everything I also got my deposit check back fast!
