The Roosevelt Inn

When I walked into the Roosevelt Inn last summer, I was excited about the fact that the site was historical and a little bit quirky. It is an old school house that has been turned into a bed and breakfast. The outside grounds are lush, green, and very well kept. Gorgeous for an outdoor wedding. The majority of my family is from out of town and the ability to rent out the entire space for two days was wonderful. My family had a great time being together and the daily breakfast was ideal and delicious! There were 14 rooms in all and we were able to fill them up. Tina Hough, one of the owners, was exceptional at making sure that everything was organized and payment got through where it was supposed to. If someone was charged too much, she was very willing to adjust things and make sure everything got straightened out. The day of the wedding everything was perfect, despite the downpour that happened an hour before the ceremony! Tina did a great job hosting my family and friends and was very thorough with all of the business. Unfortunately, Tina's husband John, is a bit of a space cadet. It is hard to keep him focused on what you need done, he answers emails inconsistently, and forgets to return phone calls. We had a very difficult time arranging alcohol and bar detail through John and did not know the type of wine we were having until a day before the wedding. Overall, the wedding was beautiful and Tina did an excellent job managing all of the business with my family coming and going. She was also able to put together a breakfast for my family the day after the wedding that was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a quaint space in Coeur d'Alene to get hitched. Only recommendation is to do all of your business through Tina if possible.
