The Rose is a historic venue located in Golden, Colorado; ideal for any size of wedding. This recently remodeled venue features dramatic historical elements, including large steel roof trusses, vintage brick walls and restoration of the original windows. The Rose's event upgrades include all new flooring, state-of-the-art lighting, audio, and visual systems, and a commercial kitchen that provides delectable catering. Their certified Special Event and Wedding Planners will assist with everything from developing a detailed event timeline, to customized floor plans, to vendor management and be your Day-of Coordinator on your wedding day! Conveniently nestled between 2 different hotels within walking distance, The Rose is an easy ride from Denver International Airport. Located in downtown Golden, along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, providing your and your guests with quick access to Clear Creek and all that the mountains have to offer.
Facilities and Capacity
The Rose offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces to celebrate any ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner or engagement party. The venue can comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests for a plated meal reception (275 for buffet). The main level consists of a lobby, a transitional bar area that opens up to the main space and an upper level with a private bar suite. The main room boasts a spacious dance floor and an elevated stage with a high-quality sound system. There are also two get-ready rooms ideal for preparation and relaxation.

ife and I knew we had found the perfect venue. The building is full of charm — the upstairs state room is ideal for cocktail hour, the front lounge creates a warm gathering space for guests, and most importantly, the dance floor is huge with an incredible stage. We wanted to throw an absolute rager with a live band, and The Rose was the perfect place to make that happen.
Patricia, the event coordinator, runs an incredibly tight ship. She is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and always on top of everything. The planning documents were thorough and thoughtfully structured, and she kept us on track every step of the way. Wedding planning can be stressful, but Patricia made us feel completely confident that every detail was handled.
At the rehearsal, Patricia took full command in the best possible way. She had every minute detail mapped out, which allowed us to truly relax and focus on enjoying the moment. On the big day, we felt so well taken care of. Thank you, Patricia, for going above and beyond for us. If you choose The Rose, you can trust that Patricia will make your wedding everything you hope it will be.
Fun fact: My wife and I actually booked The Rose before we got engaged — a little untraditional, I know. We wanted to lock in the venue before dates filled up, and it took so much pressure off. When it came time to propose, I reached out to Patricia to help plan it. At our wedding, there was even an “X” on the dance floor marking the exact spot where I proposed. Patricia truly goes the extra mile.

Her recommended vendors were great and she has a great working relationship with all of them. She really focused on making the day easy for us. During the event, she was available to handle any requests that we had. She kept us well-hydrated and made sure we had plenty of time to regroup between the ceremony and reception. The space is a historic building that has a vintage charm, including an excellent bar on the 2nd floor mezzanine, moody lighting, and a sophisticated feel. It's located in the heart of Golden, right by Clear Creek. The whole day was very beautiful.

rm, organized, calm, and incredibly thoughtful. She truly helps keep you grounded throughout the entire planning process. As a busy mom of two, I had no idea how I was going to pull off planning a wedding, but Patricia kept everything organized and detailed while constantly reassuring me that I was on track and that there was no need to stress. Her calm presence and guidance made all the difference.
On our wedding day, she went above and beyond in the most incredible way. At one point, a strap on my wedding dress ripped right off my shoulder — and before I even had a chance to panic, Patricia was there immediately. She calmly pulled out a full emergency wedding toolkit, expertly sewed me back into my dress, and had me back out enjoying my wedding in no time at all. What could have been a stressful moment became a complete non-issue because of her.
There were also so many thoughtful touches that made the day feel extra special — seeing our names on the marquee at The Rose on our wedding day was such a fun and meaningful surprise and made everything feel even more magical.
Everything turned out exactly how I envisioned it. One thing I absolutely love about The Rose Event Center is that it has the perfect amount of character and ambiance — you truly don’t need a ton of wedding décor to make it beautiful. The venue itself sets the tone in such an elegant, warm way.
The entire staff was fantastic — warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the day. And the food was incredible. The chef truly knocked it out of the park, and we received so many compliments from our guests.

The rustic-industrial decor of the venue is SO cool, the State Bar upstairs is fabulous with bohemian-chic vibes overlooking Washington St (Golden's main street), not to mention the delicious food menu, amazing drink options, great sound system and the WONDERFUL staff, which made everything happen flawlessly! From beginning to end she was made the entire planning process and wedding reception flow seamlessly. She went above and beyond to provide everything and anything we needed to plan the perfect day. From detailed spreadsheets that my type A personality loved, to answering random little questions within minutes, and providing us with recommendations I wouldn’t have even thought of, she exceeded all expectations. Even on the day of the wedding, I knew I could completely relax because I trusted that she had it all handled. And she absolutely did! It truly was the perfect day, and I owe a huge part of that to Patricia!
Now for the Rose Event Center, not only is it a beautiful and historic building that all our guests raved about, but the staff is truly unmatched. I don’t think my husband or I had a single moment we didn’t have a full drink in hand because they were attentive. Not only that but the food is incredible!! Not to be bias, but it was the best wedding food I have ever had, and they did an amazing job of helping us craft the perfect wedding menu.

We went with the BBQ buffet for our dinner, and it was so good that many of our guests went back to Buffalo Rose for lunch the very next day. The bartenders were lightning fast, super kind, and kept the drinks flowing all night without a line. The service team was fantastic as well, constantly checking in on my wife and me, as well as all of our guests, making everyone feel cared for. The entire team was so warm and welcoming.
The space itself is awesome, full of history and character. Definitely take advantage of the cool upstairs bar! We have received so many compliments on how fun and unique the venue was. While we added in some decor to make it feel like us, you really do not need any!
And the best part: Patricia! From the moment we toured The Rose, she made choosing the Rose as our venue a no brainer. The first time we met her, she impressed us with her organization and thoughtfulness. That gave us the confidence that the planning process would be a breeze, and it absolutely lived up to those expectations.
