Located in the heart of Lexington, the Round Barn Stable of Memories is one of Lexington’s historic landmarks and architectural treasures. Built adjacent to the track in 1882, the four story barn was designed as an exhibition hall then later used to house horses and tack for the races. After being restored as a museum, The Round Barn became a unique, historic location for special events. A stunning chandelier suspended through the center creates a warm, welcoming ambiance over the dance floor. The facility will seat around  250-300  guests for a full dinner. The second floor balcony area may be used for cocktail hour, photo booth area, games and much more. Facility rental for the Round Barn ranges from $3500-$6000. Bayou Bluegrass Catering is the exclusive food and alcoholic beverage provider for our venues. From themed menus, to family favorites, our kitchen staff is fully equipped with chefs who can create delicious menus that will be sure to impress your guests and your budget. We are focused on having the whole package here to make your wedding planning easy! Our facility rental includes tables, chairs, linen, set up and clean up. You have access to the space prior to your event to decorate and 5 hours of reception time.

The Round Barn exceeded all expectations for our daughter’s wedding. Allison was wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding process including a last-minute pivot from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony that was perfectly executed! Our guests absolutely loved the delicious food and this historic venue. You made the day magical! Thank you!

The Roundbarn was the perfect venue, and Shanna and her staff were absolutely amazing. There is nothing we would change about our day. Shanna was incredibly responsive. We met with her on several occassions before our wedding to make sure our questions were answered. She was so quick to respond to our emails and texts, and she helped relieve our anxiety. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and in a great location in Lexington. We also appreciated how every single detail was perfect. If you're looking for a place to get married in Kentucky, this is your place!

We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception inside the Round Barn and the experience was flawless. The venue could hold a much larger number of guests than attended our wedding, but Shanna and her team anticipated how to set up the Round Barn so that the space was full in a beautiful way. The Round Barn has some interesting antique pieces, lighting, and draping that add to the barn's natural beauty so that we weren't so reliant on purchasing flowers. In addition to the features within the space, the latter portion of our reception happened to coincide with a brilliant midsummer sunset. The venue team was constantly attentive to our guests and immediately opened all of the barn's doors so that guests could have a better view of the sunset and take photos. We would choose the Round Barn all over again for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

There is nothing I would change about my wedding, and much of that has to do with choosing the Round Barn as our venue. Shanna was easy to communicate with, accommodating to our questions/needs, and a calming presence during a hectic season. The venue itself is beautiful and uniquely structured, making for a spacious event space that still feels intimate. There was also plenty of room for our guitarist, DJ, and photo booth. Since Bayou Bluegrass Catering owns the Round Barn, they also take care of tableware, food, and beverage. This was ideal for us so we had to make less decisions and focus on other details that were our priorities. I highly recommend using the Round Barn for your next wedding/event.

The Round Barn was such a beautiful venue! Shanna and Alison were so helpful during planning and the day of the wedding. Things like place settings and linens were even included and they looked amazing! Everything about Round Barn was perfection.

This beautiful historic venue was the perfect place to host a wedding. Shanna, Allison and staff were wonderful to work with! They were so helpful, flexible, professional and assisted us with all of our needs throughout the entire planning process and wedding day. We met 6 months prior to the wedding at Copper Roux (which is located very close to the venue as well as the hotel that we stayed at ) to taste test and select our menu for the wedding. Our Rehearsal Dinner was held at Copper Roux as well, and the food was wonderful! Matt Gwynn of Riptide Productions was the DJ, and provided a comprehensive selection of music throughout the evening. He Is very thorough, and sends you a questionnaire in advance regarding your wedding events of the evening, songs and musical choices. I would highly recommend this venue as your wedding choice.

Just attended a wedding here last weekend. Beautiful space. I was also the florist. The staff was terrific and had table set-up ready to go early, which made my job much easier. They are organized, available for any questions (day of) and accommodating. The space just sparkled. AND the food and DJ were terrific.

The perfect venue! The Round Barn is such a unique and beautiful venue with the red doors, chandelier, and gorgeous drapery. The staff was so helpful and took care of every detail. And reasonable pricing!

Everything about my wedding was perfect. Nothing went wrong...if it did I had no clue. This venue and the staff were absolutely perfect. I was one of the brides who didn't want to do anything the day of the wedding besides enjoy every minute of it. That's is exactly what I did. They took care of, and thought about every detail.

Shanna and her crew were absolutely amazing!!! Due to COVID, we had to reschedule our wedding and change venues. The Round Barn came highly recommended and have a date available that worked for us! Even with the last minute booking, everything went so smoothly! Shanna helped me so much with picking things out and getting us all set for our big day! Everything went off perfectly - it was so beautiful inside and I barely had to do any decorating! The food was AMAZING! The only problem was trying to choose what to have! The best surprise came at the end of the night when we had food boxed up for us to go! They really thought if everything!

We had an absolute magical wedding at the Round Barn! It was beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better. The staff there provided us with a free wedding coordinator who created an outline for our wedding and helped us the day of. Everything was beautiful and they already had a lot of decorations so we didn't have to do a lot. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they changed our wedding coordinator on us about 2 weeks before the wedding which caused some slight confusion. However it was nothing major and everything ended up going as planned. It was the perfect day.

We couldn’t imagine having our reception anywhere else. The perfect Kentucky setting for our out of state guests. The races going on at Red Mile were at hit! The food was delicious. And the staff was so easy to work with. They were always quick to answer any questions and always willing to switch things up to work with our budget. We are so thank for Erin and the entire Bayou Bluegrass staff. Thanks for making our day so memorable!

It was a dream to have our wedding in the Round Barn. It was centrally located downtown but highlighted the charm of Kentucky and the Bluegrass. The venue is so naturally gorgeous and allowed us to have minimal decor. We had our ceremony and reception downstairs-- even with 120 people it felt intimate and beautiful. The dance floor under the chandelier was perfect. In order to use the venue, you must use Bayou Bluegrass Catering, which worked out perfectly. I highly recommend getting the AC attachment for hot days/summer weddings!

I can’t speak highly enough of the Round Barn! Erin and Shanna were fantastic about answering questions promptly and accurately and were super flexible when we changed our ceremony from outside to inside! The food was delicious and we had several people tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! The venue was gorgeous, easy to decorate and made our wedding a dream come true!!

I don't even know where to start in how wonderful everything was. The food was PHENOMENAL! Erin and the rest of the staff were ahead of our needs. Being a florist, I deal with a lot of brides and party planners. I won't be able to recommend The Round Barn and Bayou Bluegrass catering enough to make up for how amazing our wedding experience was. Thank you for understanding the feel I wanted for my wedding and keeping up with all of my wants and needs. You guys are the best in the business!

We used the Round Barn Stable of Memories for both the ceremony and reception. The setting was absolutely stunning! Because the inside comes pre decorated with twinkle lights and white drapes, the venue has a very classy and romantic feel. Erin was the event coordinator who worked with us and she was absolutely amazing! She was fast to respond to any and all questions that I had for her during the planning process. She was super helpful and so patient through the entire experience. She made sure that the night ran smoothly and that everything was taken care of so that I didn't have to worry about anything besides having fun. We also used their catering and bar services. The food was phenomenal! All of our guests were raving about how delicious everything was! They also made it very easy to accommodate the dietary restrictions of some of our guests. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this venue and staff! And to top it all off, it was affordable as our budget wasn't very hight! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in Lexington!

This venue is timeless, stately, and majestic. I'm sure all of your friends are getting married in a barn and even though the word "barn" is in the this venue's name, it does not feel like one. The outside is so pretty and the grounds are meticulously kept. The inside will not disappoint either. There is plenty of room for your guests, 2 floors if need be. The staff, especially Erin, are so attentive; making sure the bride and groom are taken care of. They checked on the wedding party and made sure my wedding was running smoothly. They also coordinate with all of your vendors. I recommend this venue to anyone. You will not regret it!

Shanna and her team knocked it out of the ball park! The reception was amazing, the team worked hard, no one waited in line for a drink at the bar and the food was delicious! We wanted a wedding reception venue that captured our simple Kentucky theme since many guests were traveling from out of state. The Round Barn was the perfect spot! Guest raved about the location and how nice it was. The building is well kept up, and tables and chairs are included. Another great plus to this venue is Bayou Bluegrass Catering who is an amazing caterer is part of the rental agreement too!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue or the staff of Bayou Bluegrass! From the time of our initial visit until wedding day, Shanna could not have been more attentive or accommodating to any of our questions or needs. Our wedding day showed a 70% chance of rain despite our dream of an outdoor wedding, Shanna stayed in constant contact with me to ensure that I felt relaxed and prepared despite needing to implement a "Plan B". The day ended up being sunny and hot, and she couldn't have been more of a trooper when I made a game-time decision to move everything back outside. And that is just one small example of how absolutely committed Bayou Bluegrass is to making your day as special as possible. Incredible service aside, the venue is also beautiful and the food is DELICIOUS. As a word to this wise, maybe rent industrial fans if getting married in the warmer months (there isn't any AC). But definitely don't let that keep you from wanting to get married here in the summer. Can't recommend enough!

This venue is run by Bluegrass Catering, and I am so glad we found it! It is reasonably priced, the food is amazing, and they provide you with a one on one planner who is there for you right through your wedding day! I worked with Erin, and she was unbelievably helpful in getting my big, roudy family organized. She made sure my husband and I were the priority, and that our wedding day came out exactly how we pictured it. The catering staff was also exceptional, and met our needs before we even realized we had them. the venue itself is beautiful with views of Lexington's skyline and is right beside the racetrack. The only issue is that there is no AC, the only cooling is industrial fans, so if you're planning a summer wedding plan on it getting fairly warm. Despite this, I wouldn't have changed a thing about this beautiful venue!

I could not possibly say enough great things about the Round Barn and all of the Bayou Bluegrass Catering people! I had my wedding there March 2018 and everything was perfect!! We used the upstairs area for an indoor ceremony which was beautiful and intimate. Then we had cocktail hour, dinner, and reception downstairs! Erin helped me with every step of the way. I was an out of town bride and honestly could not have done it without Erin! From answering a million emails, to making recommendations for dinner or nail salons, to making sure everything was just right at the venue... I was able to enjoy my day knowing that Erin was there to handle it. We also utilized the Copper Roux for our Rehearsal Dinner and a welcome party the night before the wedding, which was an awesome choice. It created such a wonderful weekend experience and Erin made sure to have the same staff at both events so it just felt very personal. My guests can not stop raving about how fantastic everything was at the Round Barn!! If I could do it again, I would chose everything the same because Erin and the Round Barn truly made my wedding day the day of my dreams!!!

Shanna was so knowledgeable and easy to work with as I e-mailed her 100 questions before my big day. When planning first began, I thought there was no way the barn would be able to check all of my boxes but I was so very wrong! With a little creativity, we were able to hold the ceremony upstairs and the reception downstairs and it works wonderfully! For a December wedding, the decorations added the perfect ambiance and fulfilled my dream wedding day! Everything went off without a hitch and I highly recommend them. Bayou Bluegrass is the required caterer and I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on how DELICIOUS the food was. (And the open bar was pretty great, too!) Thank you, Shanna! 10/10

We could not have been more thrilled with the Round Barn, and especially Erin! Having the majority of our guests coming from out of state, we wanted everything to be simple for them to get to. We had our ceremony on a crisp November evening outside up against those giant, romantic red doors, then welcomed our guests inside and upstairs to a bourbon tasting cocktail hour, and then downstairs into the main space for the reception. The venue was to die for- the look and feel was just perfect for our fall Kentucky wedding, and our guests were so impressed! Erin is a dream! A large part of why we chose the barn was because Erin made us feel so comfortable from day 1- when we booked the venue almost 2 years out! Erin was in communication with us on a regular basis for many, many months, and stayed on top of everything for us. She felt more like a personal assistant than an event coordinator. The night of our wedding, we felt 100% confident that she was taking care of everything behind the scenes. She even made sure we were taken care of with food and drinks while we talked with our guests. The barn is beautiful and a fabulous venue, but Erin truly makes the space PERFECT for any event. Thank you, Erin, and thank you Round Barn!!

I was married at the Round Barn on September 16, 2017 and the experience was amazing!! My husband and I are from Kentucky, we are UK graduates but now live in dallas, TX, so planning a wedding 1000 miles away was fairly challenging!! Shanna made the entire experience so simple and our wedding weekend was executed seamlessly!!! I highly recommend this venue and the staff!!!

Especially Erin Ennis who helped me from the very beginning and was there for throughout the whole process including on the day when she made sure everything ran smoothly and got us anything we needed. Erin IS AMAZING! The venue was absolutely gorgeous. She was so easy to stay in contact with and she answered ANY questions we had along the way. When something went wrong she fixed it, no questions asked. The most common compliment we got on the wedding was on the food, by bayou bluegrass catering, which comes with the venue. Everything was classy and stunning. I couldn't have been happier with how everything was handled. Request Erin. She is the best.

My daughter was married at the Round Barn. It was wonderful experience. Erin was just fantastic at helping us plan and facilitating our use of this venue. She was with us every step of the way. Everyone at the venue went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was truely wonderful. The food was exceptional, the staff was amazing. I can't recommend the Round Barn enough for any event. Amazing!!!! They were catering and bartenders!! The food was amazing, we had local beer choices and good liquor, and they did the set up. Shanna was great!!! She gave us a preferred vendor list to choose vendors from which was great since we were planning it from Pennsylvania. Shanna helped plan and come up with the centerpieces. The place looked gorgeous and al of our guests LOVED the venue!!!

The Round Barn was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding! It is absolutely magical. Most of our guests were from out-of-town and absolutely loved the venue. Shanna at the Round Barn was the BEST event planner we could have ever asked for. She was there every step of the way for my daughter and I, since we were planning a tri-state wedding. Shanna was impeccable about everything, she never seemed stress, even though I kept emailing her. She would answer immediately. Shanna represents the Round Barn in a very positive manner. We had our cocktail hour upstairs and then the reception downstairs. The food, staff and bartenders were fantastic. The venue as said before is absolutely magical.

The Round Barn is a dream come true in Lexington. It is quirky and unique and is perfect for someone looking to wow your guests. The round barncoordinator (Shanna) was professional, detail oriented and made our dream wedding come to life. They worked with our budget, allowed us access to plan and choreograph our dance and made it so easy. No wedding horror stories here! The food is excellent! I would highly recommend this location for it's history and one of a kind feel.

The best moments of my entire life took place here! I have no complaints. The food was amazing. It tastes exactly like it did at the tasting except there was enough to feed 150 people. We had a dualing piano band with two grand pianos and there was still plenty of room. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice to my guests. The sticker price may be higher than other venues but it's worth it for what they deliver. If you want to plan a stress free wedding, go with the Round Barn and Bayou Bluegrass Catering.

It was the perfect Lexington wedding. Bayou Bluegrass is the caterer and basically your event planner. It captured the essence of Kentucky and was absolutely beautiful. The staff is super easy to work with and is very fair about pricing. Our guests loved seeing the unique carriage racing right outside. It is also great to have an upstairs, if nothing else for aerial photos! The only issue we had at all was it was a hot/humid day and they do not have A/C. They have cooling units but it was quite warm during the reception. It would be perfect for a Spring or fall (or even winter) wedding.

I can't not rave enough about our experience with the Round Barn. My Husband and I are from Kentucky but currently live in Georgia so we wanted to get married somewhere that meant something to us( we use to live down the street from the barn). Shanna was amazing to work with from planning via email/phone up until the end of our reception. She also employs an fabulous staff who were so kind and helpful no matter what. All of our guests complimented the venue all day from the look down to the food. Which I must say was wonderful!! I now can't imagine our day being anywhere else than the Barn with Shanna helping us through the whole experience.

We got married outside The Historic Round Barn at The Red Mile Racetrack with our reception inside. Since neither my husband nor I were from Lexington, we wanted to have our wedding at a special location and not in some hotel and this was the perfect fit! One downfall..there's no A/C but we had a big industrial fan and it worked fine. Rental fees included use of grounds, talbes, chairs, linens, china, etc. which was one less headache to worry about! It's such a beautiful historic site!

We had our reception at the Round Barn at the Mile. Shanna was so helpful with the planning/catering. The food was amazing and we heard nothing but good things from guests! The venue was beautiful-had both the historical and modern feel to the barn. It is accomidating for all ages as well. The people there were truly wonderful and so friendly
