ng, but Shanna and her team anticipated how to set up the Round Barn so that the space was full in a beautiful way. The Round Barn has some interesting antique pieces, lighting, and draping that add to the barn's natural beauty so that we weren't so reliant on purchasing flowers. In addition to the features within the space, the latter portion of our reception happened to coincide with a brilliant midsummer sunset. The venue team was constantly attentive to our guests and immediately opened all of the barn's doors so that guests could have a better view of the sunset and take photos. We would choose the Round Barn all over again for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

The venue itself is beautiful and uniquely structured, making for a spacious event space that still feels intimate. There was also plenty of room for our guitarist, DJ, and photo booth.
Since Bayou Bluegrass Catering owns the Round Barn, they also take care of tableware, food, and beverage. This was ideal for us so we had to make less decisions and focus on other details that were our priorities.
I highly recommend using the Round Barn for your next wedding/event.

We met 6 months prior to the wedding at Copper Roux (which is located very close to the venue as well as the hotel that we stayed at ) to taste test and select our menu for the wedding. Our Rehearsal Dinner was held at Copper Roux as well, and the food was wonderful!
Matt Gwynn of Riptide Productions was the DJ, and provided a comprehensive selection of music throughout the evening. He Is very thorough, and sends you a questionnaire in advance regarding your wedding events of the evening, songs and musical choices.
I would highly recommend this venue as your wedding choice.

ho created an outline for our wedding and helped us the day of. Everything was beautiful and they already had a lot of decorations so we didn't have to do a lot. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they changed our wedding coordinator on us about 2 weeks before the wedding which caused some slight confusion. However it was nothing major and everything ended up going as planned. It was the perfect day.

and allowed us to have minimal decor. We had our ceremony and reception downstairs-- even with 120 people it felt intimate and beautiful. The dance floor under the chandelier was perfect.
In order to use the venue, you must use Bayou Bluegrass Catering, which worked out perfectly.
I highly recommend getting the AC attachment for hot days/summer weddings!

She was fast to respond to any and all questions that I had for her during the planning process. She was super helpful and so patient through the entire experience. She made sure that the night ran smoothly and that everything was taken care of so that I didn't have to worry about anything besides having fun. We also used their catering and bar services. The food was phenomenal! All of our guests were raving about how delicious everything was! They also made it very easy to accommodate the dietary restrictions of some of our guests. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with this venue and staff! And to top it all off, it was affordable as our budget wasn't very hight! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in Lexington!

Our wedding day showed a 70% chance of rain despite our dream of an outdoor wedding, Shanna stayed in constant contact with me to ensure that I felt relaxed and prepared despite needing to implement a "Plan B". The day ended up being sunny and hot, and she couldn't have been more of a trooper when I made a game-time decision to move everything back outside. And that is just one small example of how absolutely committed Bayou Bluegrass is to making your day as special as possible. Incredible service aside, the venue is also beautiful and the food is DELICIOUS. As a word to this wise, maybe rent industrial fans if getting married in the warmer months (there isn't any AC). But definitely don't let that keep you from wanting to get married here in the summer. Can't recommend enough!

I worked with Erin, and she was unbelievably helpful in getting my big, roudy family organized. She made sure my husband and I were the priority, and that our wedding day came out exactly how we pictured it.
The catering staff was also exceptional, and met our needs before we even realized we had them.
the venue itself is beautiful with views of Lexington's skyline and is right beside the racetrack.
The only issue is that there is no AC, the only cooling is industrial fans, so if you're planning a summer wedding plan on it getting fairly warm.
Despite this, I wouldn't have changed a thing about this beautiful venue!

e used the upstairs area for an indoor ceremony which was beautiful and intimate. Then we had cocktail hour, dinner, and reception downstairs!
Erin helped me with every step of the way. I was an out of town bride and honestly could not have done it without Erin! From answering a million emails, to making recommendations for dinner or nail salons, to making sure everything was just right at the venue... I was able to enjoy my day knowing that Erin was there to handle it.
We also utilized the Copper Roux for our Rehearsal Dinner and a welcome party the night before the wedding, which was an awesome choice. It created such a wonderful weekend experience and Erin made sure to have the same staff at both events so it just felt very personal.
My guests can not stop raving about how fantastic everything was at the Round Barn!! If I could do it again, I would chose everything the same because Erin and the Round Barn truly made my wedding day the day of my dreams!!!

We had our ceremony on a crisp November evening outside up against those giant, romantic red doors, then welcomed our guests inside and upstairs to a bourbon tasting cocktail hour, and then downstairs into the main space for the reception. The venue was to die for- the look and feel was just perfect for our fall Kentucky wedding, and our guests were so impressed!
Erin is a dream! A large part of why we chose the barn was because Erin made us feel so comfortable from day 1- when we booked the venue almost 2 years out! Erin was in communication with us on a regular basis for many, many months, and stayed on top of everything for us. She felt more like a personal assistant than an event coordinator. The night of our wedding, we felt 100% confident that she was taking care of everything behind the scenes. She even made sure we were taken care of with food and drinks while we talked with our guests. The barn is beautiful and a fabulous venue, but Erin truly makes the space PERFECT for any event. Thank you, Erin, and thank you Round Barn!!

Round Barn was the BEST event planner we could have ever asked for. She was there every step of the way for my daughter and I, since we were planning a tri-state wedding. Shanna was impeccable about everything, she never seemed stress, even though I kept emailing her. She would answer immediately. Shanna represents the Round Barn in a very positive manner. The only issue we had at all was it was a hot/humid day and they do not have A/C. They have cooling units but it was quite warm during the reception. It would be perfect for a Spring or fall (or even winter) wedding.
