We recently had our daughter's first birthday party here and we couldn't have had a better experience. From the beginning, Samantha and her team were hospitable, kind, and easy to work with. The cost was reasonable, and they handled the payments upfront so we didn't have to worry much about payments the day of. Leading up to the party, Samantha and her team had a pre-party meeting where we reviewed all the details of the party - Samantha even helped me to find the perfect table runners. The day of, the staff were helpful in setting up tables, runners, filling water in flower vases, etc. When everyone was running later from traffic, they were flexible in timing lunch service and cake cutting and in extending the time for the party. We will definitely be using The Rum Runner for future events!

We hosted my daughter's bridal shower at the RR on July 12th and it was absolutely perfect! From the start, Samantha (banquet manager) and Gabriella were amazing to work with. They were so accommodating, flexible with our requests and made the planning process stress-free. We had our shower in the Loft, which has beautiful water views. The brunch buffet was delicious - everyone loved the stuffed French Toast, and the Tuscan Chicken was a favorite. My daugher and another guest are GF and the chef prepared a special chicken dish, which was greatly appreciated. The entire staff was outstanding from the waitstaff and bartender to the event manager and valet team. A special thank you to the valet staff for helping to unload our decorations, carrying everything upstairs and then later back to our car. One thing that made a huge difference was being able to decorate the night before thanks to Samantha. It made the day more enjoyable. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue, decor, delicious food and wonderful friendly staff. My daughter said, "we knocked it out of the park". I highly recommend the Rum Runner for any special event. They truly made my daughter's bridal shower a day we will never forget.

The Rum Runner, a wedding venue in Rumson, NJ, offers two private event spaces, both of which offer breathtaking views of the Shrewsbury River and the surrounding landscape. Whether you were looking to host an intimate wedding ceremony with reception, rehearsal dinner, showers, or birthday celebrations, we are the perfect location! Our event space, South & Ocean Dining, offers seating for between 40-50 guests while offering outdoor seating as well. The Loft, located on the second floor of the restaurant, is our largest space, accommodating up to 65 guests. The onsite coordinators will work closely with you to customize your menu, bar, floor plan, and timing of your event.

ULY breath taking. the view upstairs is so gorgeous! The staff is very down to earth and so friendly. The food was SO delicious. They did an amazing job on the drinks as well! We had such a great experience with them and will recommend them to everyone!

Let me start by saying that we met with the Event Director at Rum Runner, Danielle, a few months back to plan my daughter Kimberly's Bridal Shower. She was fantastic. She answered ...

all of our questions ,showed us all of the options and together we easily planned a Shower for 50 guests. The event space is on the top level and is called the Loft. ...there is an elevator for convenience if that is an issue for any of your potential guests.It is an amazing classy space. The entire back wall is a series of windows overlooking the river . Even on a not so sunny day , as we had, the whole space is bright and well lit. The shower was this past Saturday and to say that it exceeded all of our expectations would be an understatement. Danielle thought of everything ...and not one item was overlooked.. from the table layout to the linens ..to the bubbly bar ...everything was done to perfection...exactly the way we planned it . As the guests arrived and entered the space they were struck by the incredible view of the river and the spaciousness of the entire room. We had chosen the lunch buffet and the food is wisely laid out away from the main party space in an alcove with both river and ocean views....outstanding. The food was delicious and plentiful and honestly our guests raved about it. We brought in our own dessert and some is also supplied by the restaurant. I will tell you that our daughter told us afterwards that it was her "dream shower"...what more can you ask for ? Thanks to Danielle and her staff for a perfect day that our daughter will cherish and remember always.

thing was missed. Being an event planner myself I am a detailed person, although Danielle was incredibly responsive and a joy to work with. The food was fantastic, the room upstairs was beautiful and the staff was amazing. My guests kept commenting on how attentive they were and they all wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. It really surpassed all my expectations and I cannot be more thankful. I will definitely be back for another event! :)
