My wife and I had the privilege of Jesie and Devon doing our hair along with our 6 bridesmaids. Everything was flawless and beautiful. I couldn’t make up my mind on the style I wanted so I had two trials and Jesie was patient and kind helping me find what felt natural yet elevated. Getting ready on our wedding day it was so easy sitting and chatting with both of them and their calm, relaxed energy. They accommodated everyone’s various styles and made the morning a breeze and my wife and I both felt confident the whole day! Thank you!!!

Jesie was absolutely incredible to work with, from booking to trial to wedding day, absolute perfection. Their team is incredibly kind and responsive, and Devon was our additional stylist the day-of. They were both wonderful to work with and made every single person in my party feel exceptional and beautiful- I still get raves about how wonderful they were. They were also extremely gracious and patient as some of our party dragged our feet to get started. Everyone’s hair looked phenomenal and my hair kept me feeling like the most beautiful bride all day. Super super extra bonus that they are so inclusive and accepting of all backgrounds and expressions. They started makeup services long after I booked otherwise we would have used them as well. Do not hesitate to book!!!

Jesie and Devon were both so amazing!! I am so so happy that I chose to work with them. I felt like I couldn’t put into words exactly what I wanted my hair to look like and Jesie put it into words for me while absolutely slaying my hair! All of the girls had nothing but greats things to say about their hair. It’s been 8 months since my wedding and my mom still talks about how perfect her hair was! I used Jesie and Devon as an assistant for my 10/29/2023 wedding hair and I couldn't be happier with my decision on hiring them! They did 8 girl's hair in 4 hours. Devon has a chill personality and executed all the hairstyles. All of my bridesmaids were happy with their hair and it stayed all day/night through the rain and dancing. My hair trial was one week prior to my wedding date, therefore I knew the weather forecast... and it was rain. I was so upset because I knew I wanted to wear my hair down! I asked Jesie if they can go to the reception with me for a second look/ hair touch up and they immediately said yes. Jesie met me at the reception site for photos where they did a quick touch-up before photos and even came outside with me to fix my hair during photos. By the end of my photos it began to rain heavily and my hair was ruined... so we decided to do a low ponytail for the reception. The ponytail was perfect- it was comfortable, my hair was out of my face, and I didn't have to fix my hair throughout the night. Jesie listens to what you want and executes it x100. I wore my hair down with Bellami extensions for the Church and photos, then in a low ponytail for the reception. My extensions were in for 16 hours! Jesie put them in so comfortably I had no headache by the end of the night! Truly amazing. 10/10 recommend Jesie!

Jesie and Keith were amazing! We felt so taken care of on our big day; I felt totally beautiful and my wife felt handsome as hell. Jessie and Devon were a total dream to work with. The second I sat down in the chair for my trial, they made me feel extremely comfortable, listened to my ideas/inspiration, and knocked it out of the park. Day of, they made myself, family, and bridesmaids look beautiful, and worked quickly despite having 9 people who needed their hair done. The day of look I chose was completely different from my trial (which I also loved! Changed my mind because I didn't want my hair down all day) but Jessie didn't seem to mind the last minute change, and made me look confident and beautiful. I could not recommend hiring them more, they are the real deal!

10000000/10 Jessie nailed my vision right off the bat. They truly can talk and get to know you and just knock it out of the park. I loved my trial because how quickly we were able to decide on my hair. My wedding hair lasted 2 days and was so pristine!!! I would book them over and over again. Plus side- personality and conversation was so great. Added bonus is clean, vegan & ethical !!!! I loved jesie & will continue to book !!

As soon as I saw The Sanctuary Story’s portfolio I knew I had to book them for my wedding; I absolutely loved all of their styles and had full confidence that they’d be able to create my dream wedding hair. To say that they did not disappoint is a massive understatement. Jesie is an artist and a magician and crafted the MOST gorgeous, dreamy, intricate hairstyle for me on my wedding day; I wish I could wear it every day for the rest of my life, I felt like a goddess. They were super patient and dedicated extra time to working with my fine, naturally curly hair and went above and beyond to ensure that my hair held for the entire day--they even sewed my crown into my hair to make sure that it wouldn’t fall off. Despite the rain, humidity, and the fact that I spent the last hour of my reception dancing, my crown did not budge and my hair held up all day; I loved how it looked at the end of the night just as much as I did after it was first styled. Jesie also styled my mom’s hair, as well as my wife and her mother, grandmother, and best friend; their hair also held up all day, and all of them looked beautiful and absolutely loved the styles Jesie created for them. Jesie and their team were great to work with throughout the planning process; they were responsive, helpful, and provided my wife and I with lots of tips to prep our hair well in advance of the wedding. Jesie’s expertise, creativity, and attention to detail is unparalleled, as is their patience and kindness. I sincerely hope I get a chance to work with them again in the future, they are truly spectacular.

Jesie and Devon worked with me and my bridal party (10 of us total) and we all absolutely loved our hair! Jesie and Devon were both so nice and incredibly talented. We were all done early and our hair lasted all night! Jesie worked with me to create a style I loved. Would 100% recommend to anyone!

We worked with Nicole for our hair and results were amazing! She did the hair for myself, 3 bridesmaids, mom, and MIL, all with different hair types and everyone was thrilled with the results. Our hair stayed all night long and looked beautiful! Nicole was super friendly and easy to work with and everyone at the Sanctuary Story was helpful and easy to communicate with. To say that Jesie and Devon did an AMAZING job is a major understatement! Jesie was incredibly patient going through 2 hair trials with me, giving helpful tips and tricks for ways to prepare my hair for the wedding day, and also giving honest advice about how I could achieve the look that I was going for based on my hair type and length. Jesie has a way of making you feel completely comfortable, and there is something to be said about knowing that you can trust that your hairstyle will be executed perfectly the way you are hoping for. I was incredibly happy with how my hair turned out, and even happier that my hair and my bridesmaids hair lasted all day/night without any issues. Having been a bridal party member in several weddings, I can confidently say that Jesie does the BEST and most phenomenal job with up-do's (in a way that is NOT just your typical up-do just wrapped with 70 bobby pins), AND can also do a wide range of styles, which was really reassuring for the rest of my bridal party members. Devon also did an amazing job, and the both of them were so fun to work with on the wedding day. I also wanted to give a shout out to Jesie's administrative coordinator, Sarah. Her attention to detail and response time were unparalleled compared to any other vendor that I worked with. Between Jesie, Devon, and Sarah--they are basically like the triple threat dream team that you absolutely NEED to be a part of your big day! I would book this team again in a heartbeat.

Jesie did an AMAZING job. They came highly recommend from my best friend/hair dresser, she knew how much I struggled with my hair bc it’s so fine and told me Jesie does an awesome job. Once I checked out their work I felt confident they would make me feel beautiful. We had 1 video chat before I booked with them. Jesie was so kind and I just knew right then I found the one 😇 With me I’m so “whatever you think” bc it’s hard for me to imagine what I want or like being my hair never does what I want, we had 1 trail and we thought we were doing tight curls to replicate my hair pattern but day of the wedding Jesie was like “ I’m thinking I want to do bigger curls” and I trusted that they knew the vision and I’m so happy we went that way. My hair came out amazing. I was so happy we went the way we did. Jesie also did my moms, sister and sister in laws hair. They never met them before but was able to pull off the exact style they asked for (those girls know what they want unlike me hehe) Jesie kept me calm when I felt like I was in a whirlwind especially when it started to down pour, they even let me borrow their cute umbrella bc of course I didn’t think I’d need one. Devon and Erin were everything I could have hoped for and more. Devon did my hair PERFECTLY- despite not being able to have a trial. All of my bridesmaids looked amazing. In addition to being incredibly talented, they both had such a calming presence and made my day so much fun. I’m not sure I’ll ever ask anyone other than Devon to do my hair again. I am so happy I used Sanctuary Hair Loft for my wedding I could not have had a more perfect experience!! Devon executed everything perfectly! I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted my hair to look like and a few pictures I wanted incorporated and she did my hair exactly as I was imagining! As soon as I saw Jesie’s work on instagram I had to book her! Throughout the planning process communication and planning was a breeze. Trial went great at her own studio space. Jesie is so relaxed and kind, she makes you feel calm in the midst of all the wedding chaos. Everyone in my bridal party’s hair came out amazing, they got compliments all day. Holy moly, I'm obsessed with Jesie's amazing talent!! I had a really clear vision for how I wanted my hair to look--old Hollywood high-femme glam waves with some height. Just one problem...I have super thin hair and hair loss. I was sooo nervous and self conscious and felt pretty sure that achieving the look wasn't going to be possible. Jesie proved me wrong in a serious way. With some hair extensions, colored spray, and Jesie's magic I had the most incredible dream hair ever. Jesie also has just such a nice, calming energy. I was definitely an anxious bride and had several outfit changes while getting ready, and even though Jesie probably wanted to kill me for messing up my hair, they didn't! Instead, they laughed and kept hair-spraying! Logistically, SHL was a dream to work with. Amazing communication, transparent pricing, fast response time, and showed up early on the day of. Honestly, this was my favorite vendor. <3

I cannot express how amazing Jesie and her team were to work with! Super down to earth, easy going and professional. Deciding on your wedding hair can be a bit stressful, but Jesie was great in helping create the wedding hair of my dreams, while also making sure I still felt like me. I cannot say enough incredible things about Jess and her incredible team. From start to finish, they have been responsive, organized, informative, and reliable -- and this is all besides the work that they actually do on hair!! Turns out, Sanctuary Hair Loft's studio is in the same building as my hairdresser, and she recommended them to me when I was inquiring about LGBTQUIA+ friendly vendors. My best friend used her for her wedding and I followed suit immediately. Jess worked with me to make my vision come to life that I wasn't sure other hair artists would have been willing to work with me on or execute well. I had two looks on my wedding day so I wanted two hair looks as well. For the ceremony and first dances in my main dress, I wanted an elegant bun but for my reception jumpsuit, I wanted it to come down into a braid. (We had a blast during the hair trial trying to work this out haha). She tackled it head on, was super honest about my options and made it WERK. Day of, Jess was punctual, professional, and FUN. Additionally, my bridesmaids loved their hair so much, they want to use Jess for THEIR weddings! She also taught my MOH how to take down my bun so it would be perfect for the reception. I can't tell you the amount of compliments I got on my hair. She is EVERYTHING. RUNNNNN TO HER!

Absolutely blown away from my experience working with Jesie and I cannot recommend her enough. From the moment I reached out to her from the moment I sat in the chair getting my hair done, it was amazing. Having someone who worked with all vegan/cruelty free products was extremely important to me so finding someone like Jesie who was like minded and also was clearly VERY talented at doing hair was overall a win-win! She was so friendly and gave great suggestions to me and my entire party the day of and everyone loved their hair! It lasted the whole day and then some. She completely understood what I was asking her and let me check on the her work throughout the entire process. I had an out of state wedding and she worked with me through it every step of the way. She even went above and beyond when she heard that my photographer cancelled on me about 2 months from our wedding day (PANIC SET IT REAL BAD) and she knew I wasn't from the area. She sent me a full list of photographers she knew/worked with in the area and I was able to find one that I completely loved and ended up working out for the better. I can't say enough great things about Jesie! If I'm ever in the area and need my hair done, I would choose her 10x over.

Jesie and Devon absolutely killed my hair and my bridesmaids, MOB/ MOG hair on my wedding day. I did a trial two days before my wedding because Jesie came highly recommended and I knew she would be able to do exactly what I wanted. Jesie is fantastic. She can honestly bring any vision for your wedding hairstyle to life and make it look even better than you pictured! She was able to pull off 7 completely different, beautiful hairstyles for me, my bridal party (including one bridesman with long hair), and my mom and mother in law. Best experience I could have had with a hair stylist. I discovered Jesie through instagram when looking for a hairstylist that is allergy conscious. I have many different allergies and was really concerned about being able to get my hair done for the wedding. Jesie was incredibly accommodating. Not only is her kit cruelty free, they already had a bunch of products that were low fragrance or fragrance free. My trial with Jesie was great; Jesie is genuine, personable, accommodating, and professional. They were able to create space for me to explore what shape(s) I was looking for while also taking creative control to guide me in the right direction. I also worked with Nicole Rochelle Photo and Daylin Laine MUA. Both vendors & Jesie have worked multiple events together which made my day run super smoothly. It was also incredibly helpful to have them collaborate and consult one another when working in order to highlight stylistic choices. Day of the wedding, I asked Jesie to change my hair from original trial as I wanted to go "full Miss Edwina Sharma" (if you know what I mean). My hair was P E R F E C T the entire night. I had multiple friends and family compliment how great my hair looked. A close family friend who has been in the beauty industry for 40 years said it was some of the finest work she had ever seen. Jesie/ Sanctuary Hair Loft are truly hair artisans & their work really made me feel beautiful on the day of my wedding. 10/10.

Jesie is beyond amazing and I was blown away by how amazing my hair turned out for my wedding day, thanks to Jesie!! I was very nervous about finding someone to do my hair for my wedding because I have very long/thick hair and after getting my hair professionally done many times, it usually falls out or I am not happy with it. That was NOT the case with Jesie and I can not believe how well my hair turned out! When it came time for my hair trial, Jesie was so easy to talk to and helped me pick out the perfect hairstyle for my wedding day. The trial came out so perfect I knew I was in good hands for my wedding. Jesie and Devon arrived at my house right on time to do my wedding day hair and my 6 bridesmaids hair as well and everything came out perfect the day of. My hair lasted the entire night and it did not fall out and I LOVED it!! I am so incredibly happy that Jesie was able to do my hair for my wedding. WOW, I could not recommend Jesie enough. Jesie styled hair for my wedding this June, but I booked them over a year earlier and they had been so helpful and supportive throughout the whole planning process, chatting through ideas and timeline etc. Even more, I am particularly insecure about my hair and Jesie always made me feel at ease, working with me in consultations and trials leading up to the big day. On my wedding day, thanks to Jesie, as well as my makeup artist (who recommended Jesie to me in fact), I truly have never felt more beautiful. My wedding party looked incredible as well – and Jesie styled all 7 of us alone! A total rockstar. You won't regret booking them!

Jesie did amazing with my hair for my wedding. She did a Hailey Bieber Inspired Bridal Hair look on me and I absolutely loved it. Jesie is so sweet, personable and flexible - during my trial we tried 2 looks that I loved, her studio is perfect and she makes you feel so comfortable in her chair, she totally felt like more of a friend than a vendor. I’ll be forever grateful for her. On the wedding day she did my hair, my moms, my mother in laws, grandma’s, my maid of honor and my styled my younger brother’s curls. Emilie and Sanctuary Hair Loft were like the 911 rescue squad for my hair emergency surrounding my wedding. I live far away from where I got married and I had initially worked with a hair stylist who canceled my trial when I was visiting multiple times, and when I finally connected- was unable to do the style I was seeking. Sanctuary hair loft was flexible, and responsive. I asked them if they were available for my day and they worked with me to do a virtual hair trial! Emilie was extremely accomodating and worked with me to find a time for the trial even though I had a very tight schedule and the wedding was only a weekend out. During the virtual styling she very smartly prepared multiple styles and discussed them with expertise knowledge of how my hair might look in each. On the day of the wedding Emilie was an absolute pleasure while we were getting ready. She has such a calm energy! She is a complete perfectionist and everyone’s hair turned out beautifully and lasted the entire event. Overall I would hands down recommend Emilie and the Sanctuary Hair Loft team. My wedding would not have been the same without them and I am so grateful they worked so hard to accommodate me.

I feel so lucky to have had Jesie do my hair on my wedding day. I loved the way it came out, and so did all of my bridesmaids! She did exactly what we all asked, no matter how intricate. She is especially skilled at braiding. I felt comfortable as soon as I met her and would recommend her to absolutely anybody getting married.

Where do I even start! From the moment I submitted my information for an appointment, Sarah (and Sanctuary in general) was an absolute dream to work with! I had [very last minute] decided to go in a different direction for my wedding hair and in a panic told my colorist that I was going to do my own hair. She looked at me like I had four heads and said "Don't do that. Reach out to Jesie at Sanctuary Hair Loft." Jesie, unbelievably, was available to do my hair and my Maid of Honor's hair on the day of my wedding. Jesie is truly one of the most incredibly personable and lovely human beings I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was kind and honest and listened to what I wanted for my hair and not only did she take it all in, she NAILED it. I could not possibly have asked for a more perfect physical representation of what my dream wedding hair looked like. And my Maid of Honor's hair was equally fantastic, beautiful, and exactly what she wanted. I cannot stop looking at my wedding pictures or how gorgeous my hair turned out. Where do I even begin! I originally worked with Jesie at my sister's wedding a few months before mine. After her wedding, I immediately knew that I NEEDED to have Jesie do my hair for my own wedding. The booking process was super easy, Jesie has a full questionnaire on her website where you give all the details for your event. I provided some pics for inspo for my own hair and had a trial a few weeks before. Jesie nailed it first try, no changes needed! My mom has pretty difficult thick hair to work with, so she also requested a trial. Jesie tried a few styles on her and truly listened to my moms feedback, and also gave her own suggestions. I loved that Jesie was super honest and would say "how about we do this instead?" or "I am not loving how this looks, would you be open to this". So helpful! Day of was also flawless. Jesie is exceptional with time management. I was so nervous about running late with my makeup and Jesie worked with my MUA to time everything perfectly. For all the anxious brides out there (me, big time!), Jesie is a fantastic vendor for you. She has the most lovely, calm energy about her. The second I sat in her chair it was like all my jitters went away. I think it is so important that not only do you personally vibe with your vendors, but you enjoy their company! this is your big day! you need to be surrounded by nothing but positive energy. Lastly, I have never seen a bridal parties hair look so gorgeous across the board (for my wedding and my sisters). We don't love traditional crazy up-do's or hair looking overly styled and Jesie understood that. She gave us looks that were so modern and chic. Simply beautiful. I would not change a thing. My husband also loves her and her talent so much that he refuses to get his hair cut by any one other than her! Jesie, thank you so much. I could not imagine my wedding with out you!

Working with Jesie was AMAZING! I am so relieved I found her through a friend's recommendation. Her personality is A+++ and her skills are broad and impressive. All of the girls who got their hair done by her were thrilled. I especially loved that the styles varied so much based on what my bridesmaids asked for. Words cannot begin to express the gratitude and awe I have for Jesie, but I'll try nonetheless! I booked Jesie after postponing my original wedding, and I was so lucky she was available. From the jump, she was incredibly easy to communicate with. Any questions I had, she answered them almost immediately which for sure kept my mind at ease. I don't know how many hair ~artists~ would have been able to handle my level of indecisiveness, but Jesie handled it like the queen she is. At my trial, she tested about about three different styles and helped guide me to pick out the accessory that would best fit that style. Then a few months later, I decided I wanted to change it again and she didn't bat an eye. I scheduled an appointment with her to get my hair cut close to my day, so it was optimal for the style I ended up going with. I brought the extensions I purchased for my wedding day, and she walked me through exactly how to prep them which I desperately needed since I've never owned them before. Jesie traveled a few hours upstate for my big day and was there right on time. We were running a tad behind (at no fault to her) and I've never seen a team be so calm about everything. Even with chaos happening behind us, she was able to talk me through this brand new style I had decided on (lol sorry again) and made it look just flawless. Devon, who she brought with her, was just as talented, chill, and personable as Jesie. Me and my loved ones looked and felt our best and that's all I could ever ask for. Jesie is an amazingly talented person. Her work and attention to detail is a form of art and she delivers nothing but superb work. I opted to not have a trial, and she still was able to give me the exact look that I wanted on my wedding day. She is super professional- her and her assistant Devon came early on my wedding day and left later than expected. They were both so nice and have amazing energy on top of their talent. Jesie is the most talented person! I was referred to Jesie by my cousin and after speaking with her, I didn't look anywhere else. Jesie helped answer all of my questions about my extensions and I finally landed on the right set after many emails. Jesie offers a very chill, relaxing, and authentic experience. We bonded over our love for vegan food and hair! The day of my trial was so exciting, I truly felt like J.Lo when she finished (which is exactly what I was going for). On the day of my wedding, Jesie was prompt and in good spirits. My mom was buzzing around like a maniac so Jesie's calm presence was so valued. I felt like an absolute queen and my hair was what I was most excited about regarding my bridal look. My mom and MOH were picky about their hair and Jesie did a great job hearing them and making them look gorgeous. I can't recommend her enough<3

Jesie is so incredible. She listens to what you are looking for and really makes it happen. I got more compliments on my hair than anything else the entire night! I went to Jesie for a hair trial about a week before my wedding. I gave her some vague thoughts like, "updo, not too tight, and texture is cool..." and she created an amazing look for me! Then, on my wedding day she did my hair as well as 6 others - all unique, and creative, and beautiful. She was a joy to talk with, very professional & relaxed. I would seriously consider driving to NY to get my hair cut by her!

Jesie is absolutely AMAZING! I cannot recommend her enough!! She seriously made my wedding morning so relaxed even though I was running on zero sleep that morning 🤣 I am a pretty anxious person and she really added a sense of calmness to the room! She is such a kind soul and you will see that immediately upon meeting her. She goes ABOVE and BEYOND and truly is so talented at what she does. I first met Jesie when I was 14 years old through her sister and I bring this up because it very much explains who Jesie is. She chaperoned our track meets and was the best advocate/supporter I had ever met. I have been watching her magic for many years and knew always that I wanted her to do my hair for my wedding. When I reached out to her in prime covid season and postponements galore, worried she would unavailable but so fortunately she was very much available. The rest was history. Jesie is the real deal. I enjoyed all our special moments together from consultation to trial to wedding day. Truthfully, I am sad it is all over. I want to do it all over again. Jesie is so attentive and talented. Jesie has this calming demeanor that really transcends the room. Jesie makes sure you are seen and heard, and revisits that sentiment of being seen and heard all throughout the process even until the final zip. She is also the active cheerleader who reminds you of your beauty when you are having a meltdown. On the hottest, most humid day ever I got married and Jesie made my large and and in charge hair ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Her team did such magical things with my bridal party. She made me into the Sicilian princess I always wanted to be. Thank you again Jesie.

Where do I even begin?! Jesie is one of the sweetest souls out there! When I was searching for someone to do my hair, I became obsessed with Jesie's work and was ECSTATIC she was available for my big day. I showed her two photos of a look I was going for and she absolutely knocked it out of the water. It was the perfect mix of both photos and I was IN LOVE with my hair. I never had a trial with Jesie (I live out of state and couldn't make it up in time) and she was sweet enough to video chat me. I was not nervous at all. Jesie took the time out to talk to My Mom, Sister & I on what we wanted and everyone's hair looked so beautiful. She is worth every penny & everyone should book her for their wedding. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jesie! I had to find a new stylist since my original wedding was postponed to a new date and I am SO grateful Jesie was available. From the minute I first spoke with her, I knew I was in kind and talented hands. In the challenging times of planning what essentially felt like a new wedding, Jesie made the process start to finish so easy. I cannot express how much I appreciated that.
