I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Jaimee, Brittany, the Hughes family, and the entire team at The Shell! From the beginning of wedding planning, working with them was an absolute dream, and I couldn't recommend them more!
Since we live in North Carolina, most of our planning was done virtually, but that never once impacted our experience. Jaimee and Brittany were organized, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They kept us on track with vendors, helped with décor, offered recommendations, and thought of details I never would have considered. Every meeting left my husband and I feeling reassured and excited. Their guidance was truly invaluable!
Our wedding fell during the September 2026 nor’easter that devastated Long Beach Island. With severe flooding, road and bridge closures, power outages, and weddings being canceled all along the island, what could have been a disaster became the most incredible weekend, largely because of The Shell. I truly believe our wedding wouldn't have happened without them!
When our getting ready location lost power the morning of our wedding, Jaimee and Brittany immediately jumped into action. They coordinated with vendors, arranged rooms at The Shell for us to get ready in, and even accommodated guests who suddenly had nowhere to stay. They handled every unexpected challenge with kindness, flexibility, and professionalism.
And can we talk about the FOOD?! Our cocktail hour was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and our guests are STILL raving about it! We especially loved how much seafood was locally sourced. When the storm disrupted their supply, rather than changing the menu, the team personally found a fishery on LBI with fresh tuna. The kitchen staff then filleted it themselves so we could still have the seafood we had planned! WHO DOES THAT?! In the middle of a nor’easter, they went out of their way to source fresh seafood for our wedding. That dedication to quality and guest experience is truly unmatched!
I also have to recognize the INCREDIBLE staff. Despite everything happening on the island, those who made it in, including staff who stepped up last minute, showed up ready to make our night perfect. Every guest was taken care of, and the entire evening ran seamlessly. You would never have known the chaos happening behind the scenes. We are beyond grateful to everyone who made the effort to be there under such difficult circumstances!
The Hughes family truly opened their doors to our family and friends and became a beacon of light in the middle of the storm. What they did went so far beyond anything we could have expected from a wedding venue. They made us feel like family, and I'll never forget how they cared for everyone during such a chaotic weekend.
Despite everything happening outside, our wedding was absolutely incredible. What could have been a canceled wedding became the most unforgettable day of our lives. We are forever grateful to Jaimee, Brittany, the Hughes family, and every staff member who made our wedding not only possible but more special than we ever imagined.
If you're considering getting married at The Shell, DO IT! It's easy for a venue to be amazing when everything goes according to plan, but the way The Shell handled everything when absolutely NOTHING went according to plan speaks volumes about the people who make this place so special. We had our wedding at the Seashell and were blown away. From the very beginning Jaimee and Brittany were so thorough in our meetings to plan every detail and make our vision come to life. Any time I had a new idea in mind they brainstormed until they found a way to make it work. Our wedding day ended up being the weekend of a nor’eastern and Brittany and Jaimee helped us stay calm and reassured us that our wedding wound be awesome. And it was! They presented multiple options for ceremony and cocktail hour setup and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to do. All of the staff showed up, worked hard and made our day incredible. Despite high winds and flooding we felt supported and honestly forgot about the weather. The venue is so beautiful and provides so many great beach photo ops. We really had the best wedding ever. The decor, food, drinks and service were perfect. I really wouldn’t change a thing. If you are considering having your wedding at the shell just do it already!!!!

ace. My wife and I have been lifelong LBI-goers and knew that we wanted to get married on the island. We honestly did not know if this was reality due to our budget, but we fell in love with The Shell as soon as the tour began. First of all, the smell of the lobby is literally like an all inclusive resort. My wife wants them to make a candle smelling like their lobby. (New business idea - lol) The Shell is family owned and we loved this characteristic! Tom, the owner, was carving the meat on our wedding night. It truly feels like you are a member of their family.
Jaimee and Brittany are the best wedding planners in the game, hands down. They make the wedding planning process so fun and laid back. My wife and I often said that the process felt too easy. During our meetings, it felt like Jaimee and Brittany would be reading our minds. They often thought of solutions to questions before we even voiced them. They work so well together. There were so many times that we threw crazy ideas at them. They took it in stride, bounced ideas off of each other to make sure our ideas could come to life, and then effortlessly executed our ideas on our wedding day. There was no question or idea that was too silly to ask them. The day of our wedding was so seamless. When Jaimee and Brittany told us that we would not have to lift a finger on our wedding day, they truly meant it. Everything was figured out and arranged exactly how my wife and I envisioned. We did not have to worry about one thing. Before I met my wife on the beach, I had forgotten to put my boutonniere on. Brittany was the person who pulled me aside and tediously made sure that the boutonnière was perfectly in my jacket pocket and was not going anywhere. On the day of your wedding, you want nothing more than to just relax and enjoy the day, and that is certainly reality when you have a wedding at The Shell. During cocktail hour, plates and plates of food were brought out to us and our guests. It seemed never ending. When my wife wanted more mac and cheese spoons, I simply asked a staff member for more, and an entire plate was brought directly to my wife. There is not one detail that is overlooked from any member of the staff.
After we decided to book The Shell, my wife and I visited the venue for drinks quite a few times. We were always recognized by staff members, and Jaimee and Brittany frequently came to chat with us at our spot by the bar. We became more than customers -- we felt, and still feel, like we are good friends.
We would absolutely recommend The Shell to any couple looking for a reasonable, family owned, detail oriented, and jaw droppingly gorgeous venue. If you are considering touring the venue, please go now, tour it, and then order a Summer Time Sparkler after! I promise you will not regret it!

Seriously, the food is incredible. Cocktail hour was amazing and our buffet dinner was delicious. I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. It has such a homie feel and Brittany and Jaimee do an incredible job of making you feel like part of their family. They make sure every little detail comes together perfectly and really know what works best at the venue. Given that it's a family business, they work with a lot of heart which is something that you truly cannot find in other venues.
As far as the food there's only one word to put to it... PERFECT. We receive constant compliments on how incredible the food selection was and how great everything tasted.

by comparison—and I'm only half joking. Our wedding was absolutely AMAZING!
First, I have to thank Jaimee and Brittany. As a very Type B bride, there is absolutely no way I could have pulled off our wedding without them. From the very beginning, they handled everything. They shared ideas, connected us with incredible vendors, answered every question, and made the entire planning process feel effortless.
On the wedding day, they truly did it all. The venue looked absolutely gorgeous, every detail was perfectly executed, and everything ran so smoothly. Their organization was incredible. They even managed to keep my groomsmen, who may have started celebrating a little too early, in line! The level of service they provide is something you simply cannot find elsewhere.
The food was a huge hit. Guests are still talking about it! During cocktail hour, everyone raved about the Angus beef sliders and cheesesteak egg rolls. The cocktail hour setup itself was stunning and created such a beautiful atmosphere. Dinner was just as impressive. They do buffet style, which allowed everyone to enjoy a little bit of everything, and it was a huge success. It was also very organized and there were no lines or messiness. The chicken piccata, stuffed salmon, and prime rib were all outstanding and many guests went back for all three!
To make things even more memorable, rain was in the forecast right up until the last minute. Jaimee and Brittany knew how important an outdoor ceremony was to us and stayed flexible throughout the day. When the skies finally cleared, we switched back to Plan A, and the Seashell team quickly set up the arbor and cocktail hour outdoors. Everything came together seamlessly and looked absolutely perfect.
One of the best parts of the entire experience was that we were able to fully enjoy our wedding day. We never had to worry about logistics, solve problems, or leave the dance floor. Everything was handled for us.
We chose king tables, and the setup was beyond anything I could have imagined. I hadn't created a vision board, didn't spend hours on Pinterest, and honestly gave very little direction. Yet somehow they created something that exceeded every expectation I had.
The Shell also connected us with incredible vendors, including Lily Florist in the Valley, Aisle & Arbor, Sweet Memory Bakery, and Crystal Clear Entertainment. Every single one of them was 10/10 and helped make our day unforgettable.
I am truly so grateful to everyone at The Seashell for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. It was everything we hoped for and so much more. If you're considering having your wedding here, book it—you will not regret it. You will however, absolutely regret not booking here.

Brittany and Jaimee had open and honest communication throughout the entire process, which made planning feel exciting instead of stressful. They never pushed their own ideas, but always offered thoughtful suggestions that truly elevated our vision and brought everything to life in a way that exceeded our expectations.
The food was absolutely out of this world, and our guests are still talking about it! Between the perfect weather, dreamy beach atmosphere, amazing service, and beautiful venue, the entire day felt magical from start to finish. One of the reasons we considered the Shell was because my sister-in-law said she went to a wedding there in 2009 (!!!!) and she STILL thinks about the food and how it was probably the funnest wedding she has ever been to! The Shell, without a doubt, lived up to its reputation in every way.
Jaimee and Brittany are like little cherubs angels sent from above who nudged us along and kept us on track every step of the way. If you are a type B bride, these are the girls for you! They’ve created a sacred tome of a wedding planner with incredible suggested vendors and timelines and everything you could think of to make your planning seamless. (They will still love you even if you ask them questions that are very clearly written out in their planner)
Brittany and Jaimee have created such a well-oiled machine. They personally reached out to everyone who had a food allergy and took the worry out of making sure everyone had their own food. A few days before the wedding we basically just handed them all my things a few days before my wedding then walked into something we never even dreamed of. They understood that we were a bride and groom who just wanted to be silly and light hearted and have a good time, and they truly honored that and gave us the space, both literally and figuratively, to be ourselves.
We have zero regrets. There is not a single thing we would do differently. We felt supported and celebrated, not only by our family and guests, but by Brittany and Jaimee and all the staff from the Sea Shell from the bar tenders, to the wait staff, to the hotel receptionists. We are forever grateful to all of them. Every single one of them made us feel special.
(WARNING: be prepared for no one to shut up about the food for the next decade- it’s that good!)

And the food? Simply divine! So many of our guests told us that they felt full, but just HAD to have more to try as much as they could. us keep organized and feel at ease about the entire process. They were a quick text away to help with any questions we had throughout the entire process, and we can’t thank them enough!
As for the venue itself, they nailed it. Everybody told us it was the best food at a wedding cocktail hour they’ve ever had; and there was plenty! We opted to do our ceremony right in the sand/beach area next to where the cocktail hour was held, and this made it incredibly easy for the guest, and ourselves, to enjoy the food and drink as soon as the ceremony ended.
The buffet style dinner made everything easy, and delicious (get the stuffed salmon!). The rest of the night was a blast; the bartenders were generous and with Brittany and Jaimee taking care of everything behind the scenes, we got to focus on spending time with our guests and enjoying the evening. They even helped coordinate getting some late night pizzas after the buffet closed.
We’re so happy we chose The Shell to host the most important day of our lives and we will always cherish the memories!

We frequent the restaurant during the summer and since the food and atmosphere is always incredible, we knew we wanted to get married here - but our day was even more magical than we could have imagined. The wedding planners, Brittany & Jaimee are true professionals and experts in their craft. The planning process with them was seamless, and as a type A bride I LOVED the open communication they had with us. Any question I had, I knew they were only a call or text away and that made planning our wedding so stress free and wonderful. They made sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. They don't make you feel like a burden. They take such pride in their work and it shows. We had a last minute potential weather "emergency" with our cocktail hour band and both Jaimee & Brittany were so quick to tackle the issue and make me feel at ease. During the weekend of our wedding they were so accommodating and did everything to make sure our day was perfect. And it truly was. The owner, Tom was also there the day of our wedding, cutting the prime rib, taking care of us: making sure myself, my husband and my social butterfly father ate food since the day flies by. I can go on & on: they really made us feel a part of their family. You can't get any better than the staff and the bartenders at the Shell. So many people have told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and that it was the best cocktail hour and dinner food they've ever had. From the beautiful ceremony on their private beach, to the cocktail hour by the pool & tiki bars and the beautiful reception space, we wouldn't change a thing. We had the breakfast the next morning that they offer, and they also turned the fire pits on after our reception, which was amazing!! It gave us even more time with our guests. We both look back on this as the best day of our lives. So special. Thank you!!!!

has two in-house wedding planners, Brittany and Jaimee, who are the daughters of the owner. They were with us every step of the way during the planning process and really made things as easy and straightforward as possible, which can seem impossible when planning a wedding. And as great as they were during the planning process, they were PHENOMENAL the day of our wedding. We had a couple of snags (unrelated to anything with The Shell) and they went so above and beyond to fix things and make sure our day was perfect. A wedding can be very stressful, but they made it so easy to just sit back, relax, and actually enjoy ourselves instead of having to worry about all the little details that they took care of.
The only thing that might have come close to topping the service was the food. It was absolutely unbelievable. The Shell has by far the best cocktail hour spread of any wedding I’ve ever seen, and people are still complementing us months later on how good the dinner was. To be honest - I was a little nervous about having a buffet dinner instead of a traditional plated meal. But having that buffet allowed everyone to try several different options instead of just one. And given how good all of it was, that was really the only way to go.
The bar package also stood out as a huge highlight. The Shell doesn’t have some generic open bar with a couple different liquors and beer. They have a FULL open bar - they’ll make any cocktail that you can order on a regular day.
If you’re considering The Shell and go in for a tour, I’m sure you’ll hear what I just mentioned as part of the “sales pitch”. Trust me - it’s not just a pitch. This is the place that you want to get married. The Shell has the best people, the best food, and the most fun atmosphere you could possibly imagine. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we’re already talking about making annual trips back every year.

the food, location, overall look/vibe, or any of the other general venue-related details were, but the biggest thing for us was how much the wedding coordinators genuinely cared -- that's what made our wedding day so special and why we recommend them a billion times over.
The Shell is a family owned and operated business, and I can't stress enough how much that impacts the experience you get across the board compared to other venues and wedding/event coordinators. A typical wedding/event coordinator is just doing their job when they show up to work every day, and there's heavy turnover in a role like that, which leads to disorganization and lack of care/attention. Jaimee & Brittany (the wedding coordinators at the Shell) have been doing this their entire lives and care deeply about the experience they provide. They've seen it all and know exactly what to do/not to do, and will go above and beyond to make your big day as stress free and special as possible -- the high bar set by their parents when they opened the Shell is evident across every part of the planning process, and even more so on your big day.
Everyone always warns you that "something will go wrong" on your big day, and unfortunately that warning was valid. My makeup artist "got creative" while doing my makeup for the wedding, and used some pencil in my waterline that wasn't waterproof, which nearly ruined our wedding for me because it kept bleeding onto my contact lenses and I literally couldn't see. Jaimee and Brittany immediately dropped everything to figure out how to fix it -- one of them legit strapped on plastic gloves, found makeup remover wipes, and wiped off as much as they could from inside my eyelid while the other ran around trying to find someone with contact lens solution so I could clean off my contacts. They could've easily shrugged and said "here's a makeup wipe" and left me to figure it out myself, but they didn't -- that's the difference in the experience you get with the Shell.
Jaimee and Brittany were amazing through the entire wedding planning process and we can't say enough. Their recommended vendor list is the shit. If you book them, just know you're safe with anyone they recommend -- we LOVED our band, Captain Eric & The Shipwrecks, our photographer, Alex Rivera from Ann Cohen Photography, and our florist, Erin from Wildflower Farms.
Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and how amazing the food was. We've had multiple people ask "who catered your wedding?" because the food was so good and they couldn't believe the venue just had that great of a menu and the food tasted as good as it did.
Long story short -- do yourself a favor and get married at the Shell!

Every single detail was pure perfection, and we owe it all to the breathtaking venue and the absolute rockstars who brought our vision to life: Jaimee and Brittany.
Let’s start with The Sea Shell itself — it was so important to me that our venue captured the true beauty of LBI and The Sea Shell did that and so much more. From the serene ocean views to the beautifully manicured grounds, every inch of the property radiates classic LBI charm. The ceremony space was like something out of a magazine, and the reception area felt like it was something out of a fairytale; filled with romance and candles everywhere. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning everything looked and how much fun they had! We received countless compliments about the food, most guests saying it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding!
But what truly made our experience next-level was the incredible coordination, creativity, and care from Jaimee and Brittany. These two are wedding whisperers. From the first planning call to the final dance of the night, they were hands-on, thoughtful, responsive, and somehow always five steps ahead of every potential hiccup (not that there were any!) They made my vision come to life and made the entire wedding process so easy. From the beginning they provided us with a step by step guide filled with countless vendors. Not to mention, every vendor we reached out to had nothing but incredible things to say about The Sea Shell and all were excited to work a wedding there.
Jaimee and Brittany took the time to get to know us as a couple, and it showed in every detail — the personalized décor, the flow of the timeline, the special touches that made the day feel like ours. in from all over the country. It poured the entire day—you’d think that would ruin a beach wedding. But thanks to Brittany and Jaimee, it didn’t. Their calm, detailed guidance made the whole process smooth, even in the rain. They showed us what ideas would elevate the day (and which to skip), connected us with trusted vendors, brought my wife’s vision to life, and even delivered my one request: a full prosciutto tower.
The real magic, though, was how their whole family treated us like their own. Their mom was there supporting us, and their father—the owner—was literally carving prime rib for our dog, Tallulah, because she was part of the wedding too. That warmth made the day unforgettable.
And the thoughtful touches kept coming. After the reception, we found all of our favorite desserts waiting in our room, carefully set aside in case we missed anything from the incredible menu. Then the next day, when a rental company was on-site for another event, Brittany and Jaimee took it upon themselves to coordinate with them to haul away our massive throne-style photo chair—something they had no obligation to do—saving us the headache of packing and transporting it ourselves so we could actually relax and enjoy the day after our wedding.
Oh, and by the way—it’s not just a venue. This is a full resort, right on the beach...with real palm trees swaying outside. Step out the door and you honestly feel like you’ve been transported to an island getaway—without ever leaving New Jersey.
If you want a breathtaking place where you’re treated like family and not just another client, choose the Seashell Resort. Our wedding was unforgettable—not because everything went perfectly, but because Brittany and Jaimee made it perfect for us. The entire staff at the Sea Shell was wonderful; should out to Sherry (also the Owner) who was bringing me water with a straw so I wouldn't ruin my lip gloss before the ceremony. The staff genuinely seemed happy to be part of our celebration and ensured everything ran smoothly.
When the night was over, we went back to our rooms and champagne, extra food and dessert was waiting for us. No details were missed!

Jaimee and Brittany made themselves so accessible, even outside of our scheduled planning meetings, and were so detail orientated. They also let us take our time on making decisions that were important to us.
The food and beauty of the venue drew us to the Shell and did not disappoint. Everyone we have talk to has raved about the cocktail hour, dinner options, and how "destination wedding" it felt. We also were super happy with the room block and ability to get ready at the resort. Choosing the Seashell also allowed us to connect with vendors who were incredible, but also knew the Shell so well. This allowed us to be so stress free leading up to and the day of the wedding. Having a wedding at the Seashell Resort allowed us to trust in the set up and proceedings of the day and not worry about anything other than getting married and having fun.
The week of our wedding was colder and rainy, and being drawn in to the beach ceremony, we were worried about how everything would play out. Brittany and Jaimee did a great job of helping us understand all different back up options, while ensuring their push to be outside. It stormed up to 2 hours before our ceremony start time, but as soon as the weather cleared, we knew they would do everything that could to allow us the beach ceremony we wanted. We also felt so confident going into the day because of how detailed the rehearsal was.
Everything looked incredible, tasted incredible, and was so stress free. We had the most incredible day and we could not recommend the Seashell enough!!

Brittany and Jaimee the Event Coordinators are experts in their field, they do not just give you a wedding but make your once in a lifetime experience everything you imagine it to be. They are the perfect wedding venue and the kindest most genuine people I’ve had the privilege of working with. There isn’t a detail they missed or scenario they aren’t prepared for. The meetings leading up to the big day kept everyone informed and they covered everything. (Leading up to the wedding they even let us practice our first dance in the room because I was so nervous.)
The food menu & cocktail hour beats out every weddings I’ve ever been to. The quality of food and uniqueness of options were something we were excited about and our guests raved about. We didn’t even do a trial, we trusted them to choose a lot of it. They even went as far as reaching out to each guest personally who had an allergy or dietary restriction and walked them through in great detail options they could turn to.
They were with us through every step of the way and were there to support us. Nothing went wrong and it was because of them. Every little detail I had envisioned their team helped bring to life. From specific frames in certain areas to a plethora of candles, collages, treat stations & so much more. Everything I hoped for, came to life with their help. I cried walking in the room seeing it all.
The room set up is a perfect space, big dance floor, big bar and just everything we hoped it would be. The king style tables set for a lovely intimate wedding with 180 of our closest friends and family.
They also allowed our dogs to be a part of the day and let them stay at the hotel and join the party.
The next day we had a brunch that blew everyone away with a continuous theme of delicious foods & great service. They helped pack everything up the next day and didn’t push or rush us out of there.
From the front desk staff Andy, to all the bartenders, everyone was so wonderful and did so great. Everyone kept raving about how kind their whole family was working. From their mother offering to give one of our guests her own sweater to their father cutting the meat that everyone wanted more of. They are a family business who make every one of their clients feel like family too.
Thank you everyone for making it the best day of our lives. You have customers every summer when we return to LBI and some of your biggest fans for life.

The space was beautiful and clean and they made our wedding space look even more beautiful than we could of imagined :) having our ceremony on the beach and being able to enjoy some cocktails by the pool and tiki bar made everyone feel they were at a destination wedding and only had to drive just a few hours:)
AND THE FOOD! our guests and I could not stop talking about it! So many options and everything tasted amazing.

er thought it would be possible to get married on the island and then we walked into the Sea Shell. We met Brittany, who gave us our first official tour and ran through what our wedding day would look like. We sealed the deal 2 weeks later because we felt like it would be the perfect venue for us, checking all of our main boxes. Outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour at the tiki bar, and indoor reception - it kept everyone moving and changed the ambiance with each portion of the day.
We chose our wedding date to be 9/6/2024 - over 2 years away from when we booked. Still, the girls, Jaimee & Brittany were with us every step of the way. We had 3 meetings spread out along our planning period to ensure everything was going to be planned out exactly how we wanted. Towards the end of the planning process, it truly felt like we were checking in with friends whenever we had questions to ask them. You could tell that the waiters/staff/bartenders were excited to be working that night. And as for Jaimee and Brittany, I could truly rave about them until my face turns blue, I highly recommend looking at the Sea Shell if you want to have 2 wedding planners by your side that you can place your full trust in.
Let me just speak on the FOOD, because omg - the best food you could possibly have for your wedding day. The options are endless, the flavors are unique, and all of our guests couldn't stop talking about it. They said it was the best they've had at a wedding. Once you take a look at the wedding menu, you'll understand.
The Wedding day itself was a BREEZE. I was able to focus on the present and at no point felt like I had to jump in to fix or adjust something. It ran so smoothly that for a second I forgot it was my wedding day - and thats how it should be. We unfortunately ran into a few hiccups from our DJ, but the girls went with the flow and tried their best to make those moments as stress free as possible.
When we got into the hotel room at the end of the night, there was dessert, cocktail hour food, and champagne waiting for us. Although my Wife and I agree that we had such a beautiful Wedding day, one of our favorite parts was sitting on the bed at 2am trying all the food we didn't get to earlier in the day. It was so us, and a special moment we will always cherish.
To sum it up, all of our guests rated our wedding a 10/10 and are still talking about it a month later. We couldn't thank the Shell enough for their professionalism, understanding, ease and hard work. They showed up on our Wedding day as if it were their own and we couldn't be more grateful.

for days the Sea Shell Resort provided a few things the others didn't. The Shell has stunning separate spaces for all aspects of the wedding day including a private beautiful beach ceremony, a spacious tiki bar for cocktail hour and a stunning reception space as well as ample hotel rooms ALL on site which was so convenient for our wedding guests. The other reason we chose The Shell over other venues was due to Tom, Sherry, Brittany and Jaimee, the family that owns and works all the weddings that take place there. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these people. Jaimee and Brittany are the wedding planners but they are so much more. From day one they provided me with a custom Sea Shell wedding planning booklet that provided me with everything I needed to know and every question I would need to answer in order to have a seamless wedding day. With that planning guide and the meetings I had with Brittany and Jaimee by the time wedding week arrived I was ready to relax and actually enjoy the weekend. If a problem ever arose on the wedding weekend I have yet to know about it. Brittany, Jaimee and Sherry along with my florist made for THE MOST STUNNING and aesthetically pleasing wedding I have ever been to and I didn't have to lift a finger. They surpassed anything and everything I could have imagined and it brought tears to my eyes. AND THEN THERE'S THE FOOD. Tom and his teams of chefs and bartenders blew me away. In planning the day and the menu I knew what was going to be served and there was something for everyone regardless of allergies and restrictions, preferences and palettes. The quality and quantity of food at the cocktail alone was incredible. There were so many different options to pick from and each one was loved. Then we had the dinner menu which was even better, I'm still drooling over the prime rib. Weeks after our event people are still raving about the food that was served, both for the cocktail and dinner. People continue to tell both my husband and I that it was "the best wedding they have every been to." It truly was the best day ever and it would not have been without Tom, Sherry, Brittany, Jaimee and The Sea Shell Resort. 10/10, two thumbs up, five stars and any other top rating you could think of.

Whenever I texted either of them, I would receive an immediate answer. Both were amazing to work with and helped us through the entire planning process. There were little to no limitations, and both sisters helped turn my wedding vision into a reality. The day of Brittany and Jaimee set everything up, and everything looked incredible. The staff that worked the fay of our wedding were attentive on my husband and I, making sure we ate. They were also attentive on all guests, and made sure there was never a dirty plate or glass sitting for long. The food was magnificent, all of our guests raved about our cocktail hour and entrees. I highly recommend the scallops wrapped in bacon, that was a crowd favorite! This venue exceeded our expectations, and was incredibly easy to work with. As an added bonus, The Seashell is dog friendly, and the coordinators and staff loved our puppy! The coordinators even texted me the day after our wedding checking on Sophia, and the post wedding blues. The Seashell being family owned, makes this venue truly special. If you're looking for a 1 stop shop, with amazing coordinators, and a beautiful beach wedding, this is the place for you!

From the most amazing and private beach setting to THE FOOD, everything was perfection. I feel like everyone says that people can’t stop talking about the food after a wedding, but I truly have not had people stop raving about it to me and many telling me it’s the best food they’ve ever had (and I agree!). Having everything in one location made it the best experience for our guests and easy for us. They’ve also just remodeled all the guest rooms so they are super modern and fresh. Location also cannot be beat, in the heart of Beach Haven where everything is in walking distance. Best decision ever choosing The Sea Shell!!

Jaimee and Brittany are the wedding planners and they were so helpful, completely reachable, accommodated special requests, and just fantastic at what they do. I had so much confidence in them on the day of the wedding for the whole venue to be set up perfectly and for everything to run smoothly, and they did not disappoint! It felt like they were always 10 steps ahead of me and I was able to completely be present and enjoy myself. I cannot thank them enough for that. Jaimee and Brittany also recommend amazing vendors that they know, love and trust, and I felt like I had the best team of people on site the day of to make the room+beach ceremony STUNNING! Lastly, the food was SO good. I completely trusted Jaimee and Brittany with their menu recommendations, and I do not regret it one bit! We were thrilled to learn that our guests were able to enjoy themselves and spend the night in their beautiful rooms without worrying about getting home. We had the pleasure of working with Brittany and Jaimie, who were the most amazing wedding coordinators. They are the reason why we were so relaxed throughout the entire process! Meeting with them throughout the year leading up to the wedding allowed us to check in and see if we were on track with planning. On the day of the wedding, we did not have to worry about a single thing. Brittany and Jamie were eight steps ahead of us at all times. From creating checklists, giving advice, and being general support - the girls were incredible. The food at the venue was absolutely delicious. Do not miss out on the lobster mac and cheese!! We also chose to host a brunch the morning after the wedding. Our guests loved the breakfast options. We are looking forward to coming back over the summer to relive our greatest memories :)

e knew we loved it from the location to the hospitality. We had lunch on site to think about it and the first bite of food sealed the deal! We called Brittany over and booked on the spot.
From day 1 to the end everything was so smooth since Brittany & Jaimee are your wedding planners. In fact I walked in 2 hours before the wedding and said “are you sure I’m not supposed to be doing anything”? It felt TOO easy!
Our wedding completed without a single hiccup and in fact, 3 weeks later we are still getting compliments from the venue to the food.
We are confident in saying we could not have chose a better venue to celebrate our big day. We’re truly saddened it’s over because The Shell helped make our big day, the best day ever.
We stayed over a few extra nights and it was so relaxing! We highly recommend using the Oceanfront room to get ready in and to enjoy a couple days after.

Aside from the girls making the wedding be easy & stress free, the food was insane! Cocktail hour was by far the biggest cocktail hour I've ever seen - and it was all included.. every seafood dish you can imagine. Dinner was also great! They have a variety of options to choose from. Definitely not your typical venue food.
The day of the wedding was perfect! We didn't need to lift a finger as everything was planned prior. All of our guests continue to rave about the food and the location. We couldn't have been happier having our wedding here!!

ided to look at beach venues more local. I came across the Sea Shell Resort and Beach Club on The Knot and instantly fell in love. It offered that “destination” feel without the plane ride. Within a week,I had my tour, but I knew I was booking the second we pulled in the parking lot. The venue is family owned, and everyone was beyond welcoming. The owners two daughters were my wedding planners and they were amazing! The amount of questions I texted them with all hours of the week were always answered quickly and throughly. Their mom was there on my wedding day and helped me get my sandals on and helped adjust my dress. An absolute sweetheart. My wedding was Oct 8, 2023. My guests are still raving about the venue and the food! Many have said it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to. The menu was UNREAL. The seafood was fresh and plentiful. There was so much to pick from, and the way it was displayed was gorgeous! The open bar was top shelf- with delicious frozen beach drinks. Our oceanfront room was free the night of our wedding, and we came back to a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us as well as tons of leftovers from both cocktail hour and dinner. My planners, Jaimee and Brittany, handled everything. Welcoming my vendors, setting up decorations, packing up all the decor at the end of the night, and making sure all our gifts were safely stored. The venue itself was gorgeous- from the palm trees, to the private beach, the heated pool and fire pits, it was a tropical slice of paradise. The day was perfect - if I could do it all over again, I’d rebook the same venue. They made me feel like family and we will definitely be returning for our anniversaries. If you are wanting a beach wedding, the best decision you’ll make is booking here. Thanks so much Sea Shell- you made my wedding day spectacular and one I’ll never forget.

paradise I dreamed of, but only 2.5 hours away from my hometown in North Jersey. It was the most beautiful beach wedding with an abundant cocktail hour (def recommend the lobster Mac n cheese add on!) and a dinner that all of our guests were raving about! The accommodations for our wedding party were all newly updated and everyone was very pleased with their rooms as well. Our bridal suite and ocean view room exceeded my expectations. The best part were Jaimee and Brittany as the wedding planners. These girls are pros. I didn’t stress a thing, as I’m pretty sure they could run the entire wedding with their eyes closed! Their entire staff is superb too! Their house champagne is exceptional and the open bar was fabulous!! They’re not too into sparkler send offs and I totally got why when it was happening, although I feel I did a good job of rallying my guests back onto the dance floor immediately after the “send off.” The pics and videos of us running through the sparklers were totally worth it and I would do it again a million times. The entire wedding was everything I imagined it to be! Having the reception room until 1am was a huge bonus. We totally shut the place down and it was nice to continue the party with pizza and closest friends and family at the end of the night. I am so sad it’s over.
