We had an incredible stay at The Sewanee Inn a couple of weekends ago while in town for a wedding. Both Sewanee and the Inn exceeded our expectations in every way.

The lavender cookies with turndown service each night were such a thoughtful touch.
The Inn itself is beautiful—like a cozy, well-designed living room or a refined home library. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or quiet staycation. We were already planning our next visit before we even left.
Kudos to management and the entire team—The Sewanee Inn is a true gem.

I got a room for my daughter ...went in to look at the rooms and its a beautiful place on the golf course...Matthew at the front desk is very nice and polite and helpful...I only live about 40 minutes from here ...I hope to stay here sometime.

Wonderful experience. Room was very clean and full of amenities. Quiet hallways. Peaceful visit. Staff made attempts to accommodate requests.

Amazing inn to stay near the University, designed by renowned architect Ear Swensson (Batman Building architect) with a uniquely challenging college 9 hole course you have to play when staying.
Food was ok, could have been a couple more vegeta...
rian options, but we made it through.
Wish they had a game room with billiards, darts, board games and lawn games like croquet or bocce ball to play on the back lawn while watching golfers approach hole 1 and 8

Set in the stunning area of Sewanee TN this hotel is very convenient to the University of the South. Upon arrival my room was ready and was appointed well. Definitely comfortable. Unfortunately the first thing I did was crash down on the bed an...
d saw someone’s hair about a foot from my face. 🤮 See picture.
I travel a lot and this has to be one of the best showers I’ve had in years. Not the biggest…. But the shower head and water pressure was just perfect.
The layout of the bathroom and lighting are terrible. No matter what you try to do the door is in the way.
Bed is awesome, pillows suck.
It was nice and quiet and I had a busy day the next day so hearing they had a Buffett breakfast on the weekends was great. I showed right at 8 as I had to leave at 8:30. Had a quick bite and was brought a bill for @$28.00. It’s not the money…. It’s the idea that the staff suggested this the day before and, like most hotels, I thought it was a perk for the higher cost of the room. I was incorrect. Disappointing.
All in all it’s a nice place to stay…. Convenient enough I’d stay again if I was in that exact area….. maybe.
