The Sidewinders

The Sidewinders graciously agreed to make the 2.5 hour trek to a remote location in the Catskills for our wedding. They were so easy to work with and were a big help in deciding the music for the church, cocktail hour and reception. They went above and beyond, by offering to play some smooth jazz during the cocktail hour, a piano ensemble as guests entered the reception followed by a repertoire of old and new music. Our guests were on their feet dancing to the beat the entire time. They even protested when the gig was up, so we extended the playing time for an additional 2 hours after which the band made their way back down the mountain to New York City - well past midnight. Don't hesitate to have The Sidewinders play your wedding, they will not disappoint!

These guys are incredibly tight musically and really hit all the right notes (no pun intended) when it came to the music, setting the vibe, signaling to people to stand up with musical cues, etc. They are clearly able to adapt their act to different weddings, and really made sure to understand what we were looking for so they could be sure to deliver something that would make for our dream wedding. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. They were professional, courteous, and everybody noted that they really made the wedding special. I completely agree, they were fantastic. You can't beat live music for setting the atmosphere at a wedding, and these guys are among the best bands that I've ever worked with. It would be crazy to not get in touch with them and see how they can make your wedding special. These guys can deliver. 10/10

They had great sound and vibe in the room. Very reasonably priced. I feel that they needed some coersion to really get the party started with more upbeat music, but once they got going we all had a great time. Would definitely use them again.

they were amazing and everyone loved the music. neither my husband or i had hired a band for an event before and their ideas were terrific... we did a jazz set during dinner and they kicked it up afterwards and everyone danced all night. they really are that good.;the singer was a little distracted and messed up some announcements. the band hires the singers seperately so make sure you ask that the sax player does the emc'ing.
