excellent service. Our wedding reception however was a massive disappointment. Straight away, the Silk Road arrived over an hour late, despite having been to the venue already the day before. Being a hot summer day, we had requested lemonade be placed near the ceremony site so guests could have a drink before the reception. This request had been arranged ahead of time with the Silk Road, but our wedding planner had to argue with the staff to get the drinks placed, and their team was really difficult to work with from the start.
Our main issue of the evening though was they failed to provide enough food for all our guests by a wide margin. Of the 110 people in attendance, around 30-40 people only had a tiny rationed portion of the prime rib and a small bit of leftover wilted salad. No pasta was left at all for about a 1/4 of our guests. I cannot tell you what a colossal and avoidable disappointment this was, as our guest count numbers had not changed in the couple weeks ahead of the wedding.
We understand that things happen, but what we cannot understand is the Silk Roads inability to fix their mistake in the moment when it mattered most or have had any backup planning in place. To not carry the equipment to throw together a dish such as a simple pesto pasta was just absurd. For these reasons, I would unfortunately never recommend the Silk Road for your event.

Of course, the food was everything I dreamed it would be! Our guests couldn't get enough of it! Highly recommend the Asian noodle buffet! They were able to accommodate all allergies and dietary preferences that our guests had!

He worked tirelessly answering my dozens of emails, texts, and phone calls to make sure everything was in place for the big weekend. When the weekend arrived Sam’s staff was phenomenal. Each catering staff member was constantly working hard throughout the weekend serving guests, bussing tables, and making sure all the guests were cared for. I received so many compliments from my guests on how amazing the food and staff were. I would recommend Sam and his team to anyone looking for a caterer!
