The Silver City Strings

We hired Silver City Strings and had no problems with them until the day after the wedding. Our outdoor ceremony was delayed an hour due to weather conditions, and Wendy charged us an additional $1000 for that delay. None of the other vendors, who actually had to do additional work because of the delay (unlike the band, who just had to wait like the rest of us) charged us an additional fee. She also has different pricing listed on her pricing list than what is actually on the contract - so be warned, READ CAREFULLY! We sent Wendy a check based on the amount listed in the pricing list and included a written explanation of our logic. She responded by sending us an extremely nasty and unprofessional email. She complained that we didn't thank the musicians - Im not sure when we would have had a chance to do that? While they were playing us out during the recessional? I would never work with them again, as they took advantage of our misfortune by trying to squeeze more money out of us. But most importantly, her actions were the most immature and unprofessional that I have ever encountered. Do not hire this group.

Wendy from Silver City Strings was absolutely amazing to work with! From the beginning, communication was flawless; my husband and I even met with Wendy a few months before the ceremony to go over music, which really helped. Wendy is such a sweet and funny person, and answered all of our questions. She worked with the music we wanted to hear, and they delivered! We had a string duo play for our ceremony at Maroon Bells Amphitheater last week. The ceremony would not have been the same without them! It was worth every penny. I highly recommend Silver City Strings to anyone looking for beautiful, timeless music for their wedding!

You get what you pay for and with Silver City Strings that means experienced professionals. Wendy was very responsive to my emails, she was able to take a few pieces I knew I wanted to incorporate and suggest just the right combination of instruments to produce the sound I wanted but couldn't name. Along with helping us round out our ceremony music with prelude & postlude music, and guiding us to create a cohesive musical program. They were also able to work with a bridesmaid/soloist on a few special songs. Costs vary based on trio or quartet, how long you want them to play, and if they need to provide their own seating/ and or protection from the outdoor elements. Very glad to work with them. Everything was beautiful and romantic.

The Silver City Strings added such romance and grandeur to our ceremony. I could have stayed and listened to them all night! They also provided a pianist for our cocktail hour. Wendy was great at communicating and very helpful.
