but that place fell through, too. Needless to say we were feeling pretty defeated, but we stumbled across The Simpson House on Google soon after and things quickly turned around! Charles, the facility manager, was responsive and great to work with. We were able to quickly get in for a tour and absolutely fell in the love with the space; it has so much character and so many options when it comes to event set-up. We both tell everyone that, even though it was insanely stressful to lose our original venue, things worked out for the better - we absolutely loved and wholeheartedly recommend The Simpson House!

It was well kept, clean, and BEAUTIFUL! Not only this--but it's also right in the heart of KC. Charles was fabulous to work with and very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. We love the Simpson House!!

Charles was very helpful and accommodating. Our guests complimented the beautiful venue all night long and my husband and I were so happy with everything!

s gorgeous; formal but simple. We had about 55 people in attendance and had to seat some folks outside on the porch for the reception but no one seemed to mind! Charles, who manages the Simpson House, was exceedingly helpful and wonderful to work with. The space was very reasonably priced, and when the rentals available changed, Charles worked with us to use the other rentals at a discount. It is very DIY, and since all my family was from out of state, I hired a coordination team to handle set up and tear down, but it was still a steal! Would absolutely do our wedding all over at the Simpson House!

tyle was classic & romantic and we didn't have to do a lot of extra decorating because the home is absolutely stunning! Charles is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. They provide reasonable rates for table, chair, & tablecloth rentals. I would host another party here in a heartbeat. The Simpson House will forever hold a special place in my heart <3

edding. We had our ceremony inside by the fireplace. The whole house is really beautiful and little decor was needed other than floral arrangements. It has a very unique and vintage feel, with all the antique dark woods and huge staircase in the main entryway. It is the perfect venue if you want an intimate and romantic experience. The house manager, Charles, is very kind and helpful and is a wonderful pianist if you need one, they have a piano in-house. We were able to reserve the house for the entire day too, for what seemed to be rather inexpensive in comparison to other venues we had looked into. We chose to have a small ceremony with around 30-35 guests and a larger reception with close to 100 guests and it worked out perfectly. We really couldn't have had a better experience with The Simpson House and hope to be able to return in the future.

enue. We fit just under 100 people. I wouldn't recommend doing much more than that. The staff was super helpful and friendly. They have chairs and tables available to rent. They also have a bridal suite upstairs and a PA system that was great! Love, love, love this venue! So happy with how our wedding turned out!

The grounds and details of the house are beautiful. The location was great for taking pictures and close to loose park, Nelson Atkins and the plaza for other bridal party pictures. My reception was transformed by the house into an elegant dinner party from an era gone by. Exactly what I wanted and my guests loved it! This was the perfect place for my intimate vintage wedding reception.

dinner/reception/dance in the house. The house rental does not come with catering, however, they can suggest catering services that are reputable and approved for your event. It is designed well for having guests gather inside or out. The manager, Brock, is very professional, knowledgeable, organized, detail-oriented, and overall a pleasure to work with in the planning of a wedding and/or reception at The Simpson House.
